yeah, my mom caught me smokin before class one day and then she started giving me a huge lecture. but the funniest part was she seemed high too and i confronted her and then she started laughing and was like that's no excuse....i'm an adult. she complained about me having a b average my first semester in college and she blamed it on the weed. haah, funny woman.

I dont need to worry now.But back when i was at home i thought my mum was the worst.She seemed so strict on me compared to some of my friends.She wouldnt let me go out too much because she always knew what i was up to.Then i would go visit my dad on school holidays and he lived at a pub so i could sit at the bar at 12,13,14 and drink some beers with him.LOL mum didnt know that

My parents are pretty oblivious. Before I was caught and they knew I smoked or drank or anything, I could come home drunk and high and they wouldnt suspect anything. I think once my dad asked why I kept throwing up on myself one time when I drank too much. I just told him I had a migraine.

Now, after having been caught everytime I come home at night they say, "you were smoking werent you... I can smell it". But I know they really cant, they just say that because they think Im stupid enough to fall for it and admit. Other than that they have really no idea of the signs besides red eyes. I just tell them i left my contacts in for a few days.

I ate shrooms with my parents still home and active one time. I sat in my room and zoned out for like half an hour (felt like a year) and went downstairs and tried to talk to them and everything. Then I went into the bathroom and saw my eyes in the mirror, and how huge they were, and how my face looked like it was melting, and I burst out laughing. Like, really loud.

Shiiiiiit, my mom called the fuckin' po-po on my ass simply because I took two hits off a joint and she smelled it. I gotta go to cout tomorrow.

This bitch expects me to help clean hallways (we live in an apartment building and in order to get the rent shaved off, we clean the hallways in the complexes), do her fuckin' dirty laundry and dishes and clean the house.

I told her today, "The ONLY fucking reason I'm living here is because I'm not allowed to move out because YOU won't let me get a job and YOU won't let me get a car. So, you can bitch and moan all you fucking want, but there is no way I'm helping you, in ANY way." and I closed the door on her. She went ballistic, but I don't really remember it, because I was too busy with my headphones, which I don't think she saw.

I want to move out now, because I have a place to live, and a friend said he can get me a job at the Hardees here. I'm 17 years old, and I'm being treated like a 12 year old. She thinks calling the cops will work all the time? HA As soon as I'm off of probation, I'm going to smoke up like no frickin' other. I'm gonna come home stoned, tell her I've been smoking, whatever. She can't call the cops on me for being stoned. As long as I don't have any thing on me such as possession or whatever, I'm gonna be fine.

I've finally realized that if you're stupid, stupid shit happens to you. So, I've cleaned my room out of all paraphrenalia (actually...she went through my room and did it for me, ^_~), and I'm going ot make sure I have only one pipe and one bag of weed on me at all times. I've found a perfect place for it and I can guarantee 100% that you won't ever find it because this thing isn't meant to open (broke it by accident when I was angry) and when put back into place, it looks like it is still sealed.

I can't fucking WAIT until my probation ends.....

So, in short, yes, my parent is being a COMPLETE prick.

:confused: Well I'm a mom and I nust say that I would be dissappointed if my son was using weed. He never sees it in my home, and we grow too. While you live in your parents house you need to respect their wishes, regardless. I have neices and nephews in their mid 20s and I would never smoke around any of them. :eek:

I told my boy that if he wanted to toke he had permission to do it in his room with one or two friends...but put it across like I don't know. Just in case a redneck parent had a bird! As far as the disrespectful shit with I don't have to do this or that...blah, blah....he was informed that the day he thought he was man enough to make his rules stick under my roof we would take it to the back yard and the winner makes the rules.

I've never been caught (although this bitch-ho is threatening to tell my mom that I smoked) so I can get away with a lot. I really have no idea how my parents would react. My dad would be cool with me smoking possibly, definitely he wouldn't mind me drinking. My mom, on the other hand, would freak. I don't think I'm supposed to drink until I'm in college. But yeah as long as I keep getting straight A's and get into the ivy leagues I don't think my parents will ever find out.

When I was going through this stage, I learned a few things. If I acted like a loudmouth, defiant, lazy bum of a kid, my parents were confrontational. When I helped out around the house; shoveling snow, washing my own clothes, cleaning up after myself, and doing well in school, they were a lot more tolerant and understanding. When I started working, I paid a nominal rent each week. Seems like a tactic worth trying, at least. what've you got to lose?

What Looker said about deciding whether to buy food or reefer when you're on your own is a good real-world observation, along with the other things mentioned.

i dont want to be critical, but it strikes me as a little odd that you wpuldnt want your son to smoke up, yet you grow in your house. Surely if he found out anything about you smoking up, then he would think that it was acceptable.

I have been busted two time in the past month now I have drug counseling and my dad said if I get busted again and Iâ??m not on my way to jail heâ??s kicking me out and never wants to see me again.

I got busted once when I was a kid (bout 16 or maybe 17), I had to fess up cause they were gonna have me go to the hospital for a drug test, my dad was a doctor there so I didn't want to embarrass him in front of people he works with. Honestly, I wasn't even pissed off at them, I was really depressed, they didn't really yell at me I could just tell they were so disappointed and they were so worried and hurt by it. I pretty much stopped after that till I went to college.

I used to think I hated my folks. They were pretty hard on me. If I ever came home without straight A's I'd be punished, not grounded punished, but hit. I once got a 87 on my physics regents and they made me retake it over the summer with the retards who failed the test. I got a 1500 on my SAT's, my mom wanted me to retake it cause I didn't do as well as I could've on the math portion (which is true, but still, 1500 is pretty damn good). They wouldn't let me hang out with my friends too much, and most weekends I was at home not out chilling. In retrospect, I appreciate all of their punishments, all the times they bitched at me and all the times I got hit. I thanked my mom a few monthes ago for all the times they were tough on me, and I think it made her all teary eyed.

I visited my old home town a while back, some of my former classmates are pumping gas and stocking shelves while I'm working in a molecular biology lab doing research. I have an open future ahead, I can probably go to a very good graduate school, or I could go to law school or med school.

I wish my dad could still yell at me although it was usually my mom yelling, my dad was working a lot of hours. But he can't yell at me, he can't punish me, he passed away a few years ago.

Your lives are not enriched by losing the people who care about you so much that they are willing to make you hate them. It'd be easier for them to just say fuck it, do what you want. They don't want to have to yell at you or ground you, it makes their lives tougher. They gain absolutely nothing by punishing you, or yelling at you but they still do it. They could put you up for adoption tomorrow and be done with you, they would have one less mouth to feed, one less person to cloth, they would save a bundle of money and could retire earlier or go on a long vacation to Hawaii.

When I was younger I thought, I'd never treat my kids the way my parents treated me. Now that i'm older I understand why they did the things they did. I really don't know what I'll do about the whole weed thing. I guess it'll depend on my kids maturity level. If they realize that school is their most important priority and they get really good grades (straight A's) I think I'd have less of a problem with them smoking weed at around 16 or 17, but they would seriously have to be self motivated which most highschool kids, myself included, aren't. I don't know if I'd smoke with them though or allow them to smoke in the house right in front of me, I'd just be scared that someone would find out and tell the cops and social services would take my kids away from me. You know how the gov't is, at least here in the US.
