You should try LST them....Just tie them down to the side of the pot and as the tops grow back up you just continue to bend them around the pot until eventually you get all the way around the pot and end up with multiple colas rather than one main cola!
I checked out your logs!!! they are sick!!!! is there a website where i could check out this LST thing... you look like you know what your talking about.. this is my one and only plant and want to do it right.
Italiano suggested i LST my plant so i figure why the &#$% not.... hope it works!! any more suggestions will help i am a 100% noob.
I don't LST my plants, until their height starts being an issue, during flowering ... no real advantage in possibly stressing a plant that young ... I would wait a bit ... I usually crop the growing tip, and leave it at that, but, that's just me ... your mainstem looks pretty thin, you should keep an oscillating fan on it, 24/7, to strengthen it ... right now, it likely couldn't support buds (add more soil to your pot, too, it will help support the plant) ... :smokin:

Also just like reaper suggested, I'd def. get some more soil in there higher on the main stem to help support:thumbsup:
Waitt till your plant gets 8-10 inchs taller than push it in to flowering with 12/12. As for now it needs tlc.
Once in flowering, Its going to double or triple very fast.
Then from there its all down hill, To the dreamy stoney land.
Thanks a lot for everyones help. I will be postin pictures throughout and probably asking more questions. thanks again
peace and love.
I agree with Italiano that LST is a good idea... especially if you have just one plant. Scrog is also nice, but a little more work. While these techniques may stress the plant a little, you will notice how quickly it recovers from the bends. Since you aren't cutting anything off, there is less healing time, if any. Mine perk up within a few hours after training them.
What kind of light are you using?
Looks good tho! Def get some more soil in the pot and an oscillating fan like mentioned before.
looking good man, but just a heads up. you are on the website with all the good info. just check out this link, or try the search function.Quote:

So we had some problems.... The plant got burnt cause the light got too close. The LSTing is going slower than I thought it would, so i have two questions.
1- what size watt bulb should i buy to grow this thing
2- Is there any cutting or pruning i need to do to the plant?
Thanks for all your help... One Love
Let's put it this way for your first question....The more lights the better. Also how big is your grow space and how many lights and what spectrum are you using at the moment? There is a formula for finding out how many lumens your getting, but I can't remember where. Somebody will read this and point you in the direction of that here soon.Quote:

the "how much light" link in my sig has the basic formula, but I think I've seen a better one somewhere on here. if I find it i'll post the link.
Right now I only have one 14watt cfl bulb. I am guessing that is pretty low.. i am going to buy a new one what should i buy... home depot style...
lowes has some good deals on cfl's. I got a 4 pack of 6500's for $10, and a 6 pack of 2700's for $12.
If you can afford it I'd get 4 packs of lights. Two of the 6500K spectrum, two of the 2700K spectrum. Then get some Y splitters (4 of them) to run the eight lights. Use the 6500K ones for your veg and use the 2700K ones for your flowering phase. I mean just one or two lights will grow something, but you will be EXTREMELY disappointed. Also you could mix the spectrums with maybe three 2700K spectrum lights and the other five be 6500K.Quote:
