So we are looking at another $83.1billion in war spending this year that Obama has once again backtracked on, he told us during the campaign he would not use the GWB way of getting money. I support our troops fully but isint everyone tired of these guys saying one thing during the campaign then doing somthing else when they are in?? Yes we are making SOME progression in our Civil Liberties and Marijuana and thats just awesome, but it dosent make up for the promise's Obama made to the anti-war/Libertarians/Ron Paulites who probably ended up voting for him strictly on his policies on the wars. I am not one of them personally, but any of you who are libertarians or Ron Paul Supporters hell or even Republicans, are you angry with this war spending bill or are we just going to keep excusing this kind of shit?
Edit: Link:
Obama seeks $83.4 billion in special war money

that is the same $83 Billion dollars George Bush asked for, and was ridiculed for, two years ago ,,, then-Senator Obama voted against it ... once again, Komrade Obama has followed President Bush's agenda ... why ?, because he's finding out Bush was right, about how to fight terrorism ... yeah, George spent a shitload of money, but, it was a drop in the bucket, compared to how much Obama has spent in 100 days ... now, he's gonna give blanket amnesty to illegal aliens, that should make for a few million loyal little new Democrats :wtf: ... oh, I almost forgot, Ron Paul is mentally ill, too :wtf: (I hate to stop on a roll :D)

It appears that Obama was really just another Bush clone. Unbeleievable that he could be called a liberal. There really is no reason to note for anyone from the 2 parties any more because they are really just one party.
I will continue to through my vote away by voting libertarians.

What are you talking about, he is extremely liberal. Look at all the money he has wasted already. Bush was not actually a conservative, that is why they look so similar, it isn't because Obama isn't actually liberal.
This is why we need to disband the federal government. All we need are for 3/4ths of the states to vote to eliminate the entire branch. I think that is what we need to start fighting for.

Only if states would wake up and realize how much money they could be get if 1/3 or even a 1/4 of what Americans pay to the federal government, would go the their state.
it would greatly improve education, roads, wages/benefits for state workers, and Americans with that extra money would of course put it back into the economy

But I still need to spread it around apparently. Oh well. I would also like to know where all the flaming Obamaniac ranters are that were here prior to the election? They are probably so damned confused at this point they have no idea what to think, which isn't all that different than most of the time anyway I guess.

Ron Paul is Mentally Ill?? I never knew that, hell the campaign for liberty meetings we have had have been pretty full for a bunch of people who support someone who's "Mentally Ill". Ron Paul has been projecting for years this financial crisis and now that he was right hes mentally ill?? I guess the fact that he supports Legalization makes him mentally ill to right?? So just because someone dosen't agree with whatever you believe in they are mentally ill? at least bring somthing good to the argument, blanketly calling someone mentally ill is just well, RETARDED :D

in all seriousness, Ron Paul has a couple of ideas that I agree 100% with (flat tax, pro-guns) ... but, as a whole, the guy is chasin' UFO's :D ... besides, he wants to take away my Social Security and Medicare :wtf: ... bullshit, (not, unless he takes away my guns first :D) ... it's one thing to have good ideas, and principles, but quite another to make them work in the real world ... I think Paul is a sincere man, and very honest (for a politician), but a bit short on common sense ... good thread, btw

This is a tragic misrepresentation of Dr. Paul, mostly because he gets very little air time outside of economic or hot topic social issues (like marijuana). First off, most budget outlays are indescretionary, and depend on congressional approval to annex, such as medicare and social security.
Dr. Paul's intention is really quite simple. Put such powers in the hands of the states. The federal government really has no business worrying about whether a woman can terminate pregnancy, if it is ok to ingest a substance that will not kill me, or even how to manage the Alaskan school system (department of education mandates through budgetary ultimatums).
The federal government is supposed to protect the rights of citizens from these states if they happen to overstep their boundary. They are also there to protect citizens from foreign invasion/attack, as well as help with any state budget shortfalls. Remember when governor Wallace from Alabama would not allow black students into "white" schools? That's when the fed's stepped in.

that's an excellent response, very intelligent ... like Paul, I agree with a lot of what you say, but ya lost me at abortion, for example ... I consider myself a 'Constitutionalist', but I still believe abortion is murder, so I can't give ya 100% ... :smokin:

I really am not fond of the idea of it either, but then again i have not had to experience labor pains, raising a child on government assistance, or as some might say... responsibility:) But none the less, i have yet to face this problem, so my male point is moot (IMHO).
Say a state does decide to enact a "Roe vs. Wade" sentiment. You can always "vote with your feet." I know i do:rastasmoke:

I will agree, I wish he hadn't said he believed in aliens. It took me a while to look past that and find out what he stood for. I love Ron Paul though. I think Ron Paul is an extremely intelligent man who is constantly coming up with plausible and good solutions to many problems our nation faces. I have seen some crazies among his supporters though. I tend to see a lot of Ron Paul signs amongst "9-11 was an inside job," and other conspiracy slogans.
As for Social Security, I'm not sure what they should do with that. I only made $6,000 bucks last year (I was unemployed a while :() and I paid $380 of that to Social Security. In ten years I will have paid around $7,700 (rough estimate of college students who make about $12,000 a year) to social security. I won't see any of it. I could take that $7,700 and go on a trip or put away for my own personal security fund.
That's not even including medicare tax.
My generation will never see a dime of that money. From what I understand, his plan is to allow us young guns to opt out of the program if we choose(any of us with a brain will do so.) Than they will gradually eliminate both programs.
I believe social security will be depleted by 2040 and medicare about 10 years from now.

He's the only politician I've ever heard talk about America losing it's way..I don't care if some of his ideas were crazy, I don't think it'd be easy to eliminate social security...I think his biggest point on that is that if the government continues to spend like it is, there isn't going to be money left to give out for social security, but not many politicians will publically admit that 95% of what the government does is wrong and immoral..
Dead on with foreign policy as well..I couldn't agree more with him about that...how would we feel to be occupied by foreign military..? He's one of a kind, too bad the media didn't want him to get elected..

I still think the video of the tower falling with several loud bangs is quite suspicious..especially when the documentary made from it doesn't contain those bangs...
Would take a lot to convince me one way or another, but sure was a great reason to go after the 'terrorists' and invade iraq..How many contracts did haliburton get again?? Money can make people do anything..
Also strange that george bush saw the first plane hit the building on the news..?

Why, would him saying he believes in UFO's make you have doubt in him? I would say 90% of the people who run this country believe in burning bushes that talk, magical beings riding on flying horses, and all sorts of other things, but you don't question any of that?

Yes it does. But I would say he has done SOME good by ending the federal raids which was started by the bush era. And trust me I was pissed to when I was Put down as one of those "Internet People". I personally never knew Dr. Paul believei n UFO's :wtf: but hey we all have some goofy beliefs and that sure is one as im the biggest skeptic around. That still dosent take away, at least for me his vast knowledge of the tax, fed and our monetary pitfalls. I got a letter in the mail a year or so ago stating if I went out on social security right now I would qualify for $950 a month. (im 27) I dont know how I could live on that even if i happened to be disabled (it was a possibility at a time when they discovered a spot on my brain). Theres no way that I could live on 950 a month so no matter what I will always have my own nestegg. My personal savings and retirement is based on a savings of cash and gold assets. Thats just me personally though im not saying this is the best for everyone.

I question it all the time, religion is simply easier to look past.
