my state is about 2 aprove mmj and i want 2 be one of the 1st on the market 2 provide it for the sick.... but i cant seem to find out any info on it...
does anyone know how 2...
-open a despensary
-get a license 2 grow 2 sell to the despensaries...
any info on the subject would be really helpfull thank you

I think CA is the only state that has the dispensary license thing so far of all 13 states that have medicinal laws. I think the best and most legal way would be to petition your local government and come up with a proposal for dealing with licensing of growers and overall distribution of medicinal cannabis.
The downside is that there is nothing set in stone as far as dispensaries unless you are in CA, at least as far as I know, so to open a dispensary to openly sell marijuana is pretty risky anywhere other than a few key spots in CA.
Hopefully someone else will have better information from their own experience. However, I am pretty sure it starts with the people submitting their own ways to establish legitimacy since the states have more or less chosen to stay out of regulation of this new and misunderstood industry.
I believe you can go on line to MAPP; Norml or the Library of Congress and find the laws on what is required in Calif.
Not knowing your state, you may try the name of your state like Californiagov.org; and find the law and its' provisions.
Many here on this site are much more knowledgeable with that.
Good luck to you and for everyone's sake, I hope it is legal. I am guessing--dispensaries have been such a bust in Calif. that not many states will try to conquer that problem until someone figures out how the state can profit more than the dispenser! Calif. is moving toward Collective's and hopefully, you will at least be able to grow for yourself and use your medicine with others without fear! You can go to your local Gov't office that regulate's business license's and place a request for a business license for a dispensary and list exactly what you intend to sell. If you get a license for it-that would be a good start; once you have the law for mmj. Who knows, they might approve it! :hippy:pr :hippy:

There aren't many career institutes that offer a cannabis career training, because the industry is still new, but I took some classes at CCI last week and it was great.
They completely train you in all aspects of the cannabis business, the laws, how to own and operate your own medical marijuana business, they basically take you by the hand and walk you through it.

i am in the middle of opening one right now my self... first things first you have to go talk to the sheriffs office they will point you into the right direction.. they will tell you the zoning laws and where you will be able to run that type of business... then go get a business license application the sheriffs office will have to sign the paper work before you turn the application in .. it will cost about 100$.. then gather up about 100000$, a good marijuana lawyer, a place to sell and your ready.. the business will have to be set up to be a nonprofit business........ dont forget you will have to do a speech in front of the county council on why you want to open the dispensary... hope this will get your feet wet.. i know i had trouble getting started... :rastasmoke:
