Heart races every single time

everytime i smoke bud, (i use bongs, and snap bowls) my heart races for a fact, to an average of 144bpm. Is there any way to lower it to about 80-90 (normal bpm) ? i live with my parents and they do not approve of my smoking, so they check my bpm with a digital device my dad has (he has high blood prerssure, so he needs to contantly check on it) and not smoking is not an answer for me.

I smoke very potent strains, like blackberry, skywalker, L.a. conf, and herojuana.

If there is any way to lower it, it would greatly help me. If i smoke at 4-5, and come home at 9-10, it is still racing. I need help because i love mary jane, and i want my parents to stop trippin'. :)

Some strains are worse than others,but this isnt crack or meth so I don't know what it is.Eventually you start to mellow out.The only time I have gotten real bad heart rates that did not go down after a while was from stuff I know was tainted.


Try Light green strains with limited red hairs.You need to know which strains are ruderelis,Indica or sativa and see which one of them suits you best.
I know that not every strain will cause heart racing to a point where you can notice it.

Also if you havent had any for a while you can get too high and panic.Try and build up a tolerance to what you are smoking before you start railing on it.

Also when you go inside your house try not to think about it or worry.? When you think and worry it makes your heart rate raise to. Maybe you should try another type of green from what you smoking. You are not new to smoking are you cause i noticed my heart rate raise when i first started. Or when you inside just act like your pist off. Your heart rate raises than to, Or try to talk with them and explain your daily/weekly activity. Or try to out smart them when you know you gonna be round the house or going home soon chill out on tha dank.

Try smoking more sativas, those strains are heavy Indicas. they have the tendancay to raise heart rate more than most. Just go to your local despencary and aske em what kinda Sativa strains they recomend. If that does not help, then as them as well, I am sure they have herd the question before.

Are you sure about that? I always thought it was sativas that made it race more because of a more energetic high and I thought CBD(found more in indicas) counteract some of the effects of THC.

i do smoke light green strains, those are my favorites lol. all i smoke is kush, i never smoke chronic, and i dont think it will ever mellow out because it's always bad. Yesterday, i didnt even get high! i smoked out of my girlfriend's pur, (and i'm a bong person), didnt even get high, spent 3 hours there, w/o thinking about it, and when i came home, my diastloic and astolic rate is normal, my heart beat is the only thing that was high. I wan't high at all, took 3 small hits out of the pur, and when i came home my heart bpm was 118

(i read in another post that some guy went to the er because he tohugh he was going to have a heart attack after smoking)

Wow, and I though my parents were whack. Tell your parents that you are tired living in their facist police state of a house, and the reason your heart beat goes up is because they are screwing with your life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

All joking aside, whomever suggested sativas is steering you down the wrong road. It's like weedadidas said, you need an indica based strain, preferalbly one flowered till the trichs are amber. If your heart rate still doesnt go down, i'd suggest you get a pair of running shoes...tell em you just went running, dont want to wind up obese like the rest of america.

Skywalker, Bubbleberry, those are Indica dominiant strains, I suggest tying another strain, if you are smoking those indicas mabey the sativas are for you, then again if your heart rate does not go down or is dangerous mabey smokeing Marijuana is not for you.

CBD is found in both Indicas and Sativas, and to tell you the truth we know far to little about the cannabis plant and all 50 0r 60 cannabinoids in it. We are not sure what off sets it; or if their is an offset, or any of that. Besides with the other 59 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant we do not know how to even measure them let alone know that one is offsetting or enhancing the other. With that said it is widly known that higher CBD levels are a differant or more enhanced high. Wanted in most medical strains.

^^ just had to add it is Sativas that make your heart race so to say, and indicas that do not. So yeah you are right sativas usualy are not for those that have the racing heart problem

Some people have those kind of effects after smoking... Perhaps your father's blood pressure issues have a genetic effect on your inability to keep your heart rate down? Indicas would seem logical to relax you and lower your heart rate, but every body is different!

Try relaxing, deep breathing, and maybe some in-car meditation (while parked!) before you go into the house. It helps to calm your mind and body down very well. Avoid caffeinated, high salt, or high fat products around your smoke time. If you get the munchies particularly bad, heavy meals tend to bring the heart rate up, because more blood must be sent to your stomach and intestines to deal with such a large meal! It's good that you're smoking outside the house, especially if your parents have an issue with smoking!

well i was born prematurely (3 months early) and i did have heart problems, my heart would stop (kind of like forgetting to breathe) and i would have this machine hooked to me so it would shock me if my heart stopped. I dont know, nothing really helps. Thanks for all your help though, i think im just gonna take a little break, im really really tired of my parents' bullshit. maybe if they smoked a little they would stop tripping the fuck out.

I agree you should try meditation, a really simple one. Just concentrate on your breathing for 10-20 minutes or so, only your breathing. Also I was wondering if you smoke it with tobacco, that can cause racing heart.
