the leaves are curling a little bit, ive already budded and had thsi same problem the past few times but i want to fix it.. it always happens within the first two weeks of bloom... these pics were taken at night but its the same when the lights are on. the plants are a lil more perc'd up during the day but the curling around the new growth is still there.. i think it might be the humidity or something any ideas?

I'm guessing it's the well water. You have ppm's but what does the well water start at ? How do you know what's in the well water. I would try R/O or distilled and just some calmag.
We need to know the rez temps too. We just had a cold snap and my bro let the rez temp fall into the 50's and by the next day leaves turn yellow and fell off. I think temps may have gotten lower.
Got to be a diffency. Maybe your well water needs some calmag.

ill try the calmag and ill get the rez temps ... anyone else have any other ideas?

the problem is its a bitch for me to get any other types of water since im using 40+ g rez;s... is there anything i can put in the water to fix it and also if its the temps what should i have the temps at/
*** also i forgot to say that i had the same plants veggning under a 400 watt mh with the same water and they were great perfect condition.. so ..

your PH should be at 5.8.

just went into the room and got some new pics of these little white bugs that i noticed on the bottom side of the leafs.. the big fan leafs have some white spots on them too but ive had tihs problem for over a year now and still have been having buds.. i figured it was just fruit flys that were harmless but now im starting to wonder if they're causing the curling.. could you guys take a look? i looked at the sick plant guide and im trying to figure it out.. now that im looking at it its all over what do u tihnk it is

here;s one more pic that shows what the prob is.. is this a totally differen tproblem than the leaf curling? or could it be causing it also..

the bug problem looks like thrips to me. look them up online and see if that matches.
I dunno about the leaf-curl but it looks ot me like a micro-nutrient problem, like magnesium or some-such. it has to be something you're doing during the light changeover... change of nutes comes to mind.

The bug problem is spider mites. They are a bitch to get rid off but it can be accomplisthed with a few different choices: Neem oil is safe and effective. Bombs also are effective but I have never used them so I dont have much advice. they also have homemade mixtures which involve boiling cigarettes and some type of peppers, but only God knows whats in those things these days!!
Now the leaf curling... Doesn't look like and deffficencies to me, but more like you have overdone something. Dro is not my particular area so I guess you have to wait for an more experienced input.

Now that I took a look at the close ups... They do look more like thrips!!

i just put neem oil all over in veg an bloom and put pest strips for spiders and all other bugs all over everything, mothers and all.. think its gona work on thrips?

stinky? anyone take a look at the pics an tel me if you think its thrips or mites.. either way i neem oiled everything and also put the spider/pest strips all over my mothers, veg, and bloom areas.. i dont know whats going on but i think its all over the place what do i do!!

Thrips aren't as rapid-deadly as spider mites. However, they can be very difficult to eradicate (from experience)
a pyrythrium bomb is what a friend uses in her veg room quarterly to keep them away. I used pyrithrium spray (Safer insecticide soap) and sprayed mine up to 2 weeks into flower. (weekly - can damage leaves if soaked too badly, you may want to rise off with a light spray of water.)
You might hand a Hot Shot in the room at the intake vents and in the doorway. that helps in general.

the problem with too neem oil is getting too much on the plant. It tends to fill in the breathing pours on the leaves.
It's a fair repellent, but that's all. Only cuz it tastes and smells nasty. bugs throw up and keep on sucking.
Avid miticide (used on organic gardens I believe - but I may be wrong) I believe also kills thrips.

If they are spider mites the bombs are the way to go . You must break the life cycle of the bugs. On the underside of the leaves you must see little bugs and white webs. Very small hard to see unless you have magnifying class.
To stop the life cycle I used doc dooms small bombs. Lets see Zandor told me how. I spider mite is born with eggs that they lay when they are 2 weeks old and the eggs hatch in about a week. So as I remember a bomb about every week for 3 to 4 weeks to break the life cycle. You can't kill eggs so if you kill mites once a week and eggs last no more than about a week in 3 weeks I had killed a hatched eggs. This can be done with in 2 weeks of the end of flowering. The pyrithrium will disapate within 2 weeks and be safe.
Neem oil will suffacate your plants, be careful.

I say thrips because...
http://boards.cannabis.com/attachmen...tachment77.jpg
Look near the edged of the leaves -- see the tiny black dots? Thats thrip-shit and eggs. See the squiggly white feeding lines? Mites spotting are tiny roundish spots, not feeding trails.
And if you look at the leaf you will see a shiny snail-trail like substance, that is to keep the eggs on the leaves.
Look closely -- you shouldn't need a loupe or magnifier -- and see if you see any long, skinny bugs, pale yellow in color. I think I see one in that picture near the center on the center leaf stem. These are thrips.
If mites, you would see almost microscopic webbing. And if you could see them, the mites would be more roundish, pale, with saddle bags (usually -- two-spotted mite).

this is true for thrips, too. 3 bombs -- 1 week apart.

3 words... NO PEST STRIPS.. i put like 5 of them all over the place within 2 days everyhing was cleared out. the neem oil was so smelly and gross im so pissed that i wasted the earlier days neeming the whole place down what a waste of tiem it didnt do much just slowed them down a bit.. soon as i hung the strips everything was dead i mean thers not 1 left in the whole place.. thanks for the help u guys
what should i do about all the neem oil.. ip ut it on everything all th e plants every leaf .. i did it two times day after day.. should i wash them off/. its been about 5 days since i put the neem on and everything looks fine but i dont wana 'suffocate them like u guys said

I second No Pest Strips. I've never seen a bug in my grow room. However, stinky made a thread pointing out how they could be mildly toxic, so I think 5 might be overkill, and if you use em, you shouldn't hang out in your room for extended periods.

5-days after flooded with Neem and the plants look fine? good. don't worry.
:wtf:
yeah, 5 might be overkill, but hey, it's thrips! :D
(good advice not to hang out too much in the room cuz of them)
