I've been smoking (weed) for a long time, and I can smoke a hell of a lot in one sitting, but the thing is, I have no lung capacity. The size of hit I feel most comfortable with is a pull off a joint or a pipe hit, and the worst is when you're in a circle, the guy pulls out his enormous bong, and they load everyone a giant bowl that they're expected to clear.
On the other hand, I know people who can clear whatever's loaded for them without even a cough. Where do you stand?
i'm the same as you, my lungs just can't take it any more, never use to be like that, use to be able to take any hit comfortably, i must be getting old lol.
In my younger days, I could put a joint in a bong bowl and kill the whole thing in one hit. I wouldn't even attempt it with the quality of smokage I have now... Ultra Haze and daddys girl... that would be just flat dangerous.
I used to go for champ hits back in the day...since my older 20's, and when I started smoking kind, I dont bother with big ass chokers. Seems a nice enough hit to be able to hold for a while and not choke is a perfect hit. Waste a shitload coughing out a giant bong rip.....

I only use 10% lung capacity....(I save the other 90%, for emergencies)

i'm not sure why but I can take just about any size hit within reason. Could be the counter effects of my asthma which might make my lungs stronger, who knows.

All my friends say I always take the biggest hits they seen, probably helps that I did competitive swimming half my life :stoned:
I'm jealous of the guys who can clear a whole bowl in one bong rip. It takes me 2 or 3 big rips to clear one bowl. My lungs suck.

Yes sir, We call those "Krumm hits", named after our friend. She would take the smallest of small hits, very good method.

Studies have shown that your lungs absorb all the thc they can within the first few seconds of taking a hit, so all those trying massive hits are actually just wasting weed.
Those taking the "sippy cup" hits are doing it right. ;)
ripping a 2 footer now, milking the hell out of this thing, right now its a strong sativa, but last week it was wwhite rhino, in eaither case, feels like my head is gonna pop off even if I hold it for 2 seconds. I got the record so far around here .5 gram bowl held for 10 seconds, just some funny shit we do around here sometimes, we call it Stoner olympics. I am running low but have a friend coming over late hope she has herb too so we can play some bong games. dont ever cough while you still got alot of smoke in your lungs, it is bad especialy when it gets up in your sinuses, damn I hate that. Those are stoner olymic injuries.
I constantly do waterfall hits, it's all I smoke out of... I'd say my lung capacity is decent, however back in the day there was this kid who we use to smoke with.. Would rip the crap out of any bowl and there wouldn't be anything left, he'd load it.. Rip it, there'd be like 1 crappy ass hit left and than you'd match him.. Bastard.. Lol.

I can't take huge hits without coughing myself.... But that usually has to do with street schwag, which is usually harsher more often than not in my area.... Quite a few times, with hydro, I usually win the "one hitter challenges" at parties, where you have to take a massive hit out of a good sized one hitter, and inhale the whole bowl and hold it in for 10 seconds without coughing. Hydro is usually kinder and smoother in general, but for some reason, I always win those as everyone around me coughs every time.....
i just smoke it :)....either i take big hits or little hits i still get mellow when im done..
i dunno maybe its just me but i love nothing more than when i take a huge rip and my whole chest just aches and burns with delight and then my face starts to hurt and tingle for a little while
that, in my eyes, is how i know i have some good strong bud
i also seem to be unusually gifted with the ability to hold back a cough no matter what so, i dunno
