Crazy Little Runt
So here's the story: During the vegetative cycle of an indoor CFL grow, space became rather limited due to the number of plants in the space. Of the 5 bagseed plants, one clearly straggled far behind the others. Like a fat kid chasing after a schoolbus to the cruel laughter of his classmates, one plant just refused to catch up. It began to resemble a palm tree in miniature, with a narrow stem with only the top of the plant showing any leaf development. While the others progressed to LST'ing and topping, the runt stubbornly remained the same size - no more than 4" tall.
Taking this as a sign, the runt was promptly relegated to the great out of doors sometime between January and February. Removed from its pot and placed into poor soil on a whim, it remained all but forgotten through at least two killing frosts. Now the story gets interesting...
With the return of warm weather, the runt was discovered clinging to life with a resilience rarely seen. It seems to have grown, though not by much. This could be due to the terrible weather experienced around here during the last month. The most noticeable change is the rotting of the upper main stem, meaning the plant has effectively topped itself. (Seen in pic 4) It was then uprooted, moved to a better location, and given decent soil mixed with perlite as well as regular waterings. Several questions stand out - what should be expected from this runt? Is there any chance that it isn't massively confused by the changing light cycles - 24 hours of light indoors to almost 12/12 outdoors, then moving back to longer days. Take a look at the pictures and feel free to speculate or conjecture to your hearts content.

Yeah, it officially hasn't grown any taller. It seems to have just bushed out a bit. I admire its tenacity, but I don't know how much of a future it has.

Crazy Little Runt
i do believe it could pull through. i've seen an outdoor plant forgotten, never harvested, and remembered too late to recover any usable product. we go and check the next year, and it'd revegged into the biggest of any. probably due to its already established root system, but i'm no expert. oh and we remembered to harvest it that time.
