I'm serious. I've had pneumonia for 4 and a half weeks now, and all 5 of my siblings are sick as dogs... I've gone through 4 Z packs, and I'm starting some high-dose Levaquin right now. It BITES.
Anyone else been sick recently?

Yeah but not nearly as sick as you, hope ur feeling better soon!
Yeah, it sucks... I've been talking to my doctor, and if I'm not better by spring break, I'm just going to be admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics hah.
Very. Head pounds all through out the day with never ending sinus congestion that is beginning to resemble watered down playdo. Nasty cough. Blood every other time.
I think something is seriously in my area's air as well.
Dude, 2 weeks ago I was sick as hell. I had the flu, bronchitis and strep throat at the same time. I was proper fucked. On the plus side, they gave me this cough syrup with codeine and pseudo ephedrine in it. Great stuff.
I hope its not pandemic.
Runs to take cover.
Instead of chasing the symptoms (flu) why not tackle the problem. Your WEAK immune system. Try changing your eating habits. :hippy:
I haven't been sick in many, many years. I started out with relatively asymptomatic mono, which then weakened my immune system, and allowed a minor sinus infection turn into pneumonia in a matter of days... I am surrounded by coughing, hacking, sick kids all day, and ironically, I wasn't even working for 2 weeks when it all started.
@Bubbleboy What? How do you know _________'s immune system is weak because of poor diet? Yes, that is a factor in functioning immune systems, but it's not a single issue. Genetics, exposure to bacteria/viruses, stress, and time of the year are all very prominent factors in determining the strength of ones immune system.

Having the system properly cleaned and serviced will help a lot, as will using decent pleated filters. There are several brands of pleated filters... use a mid grade(MERV 8 or 9) pleated filter because the ultra/super alergen filters will cause too much restriction in the systems air flow. then also remember to change the filter every month. When you write the check to pay the light bill, use that as a reminder. Clean filter=better efficiency=lower bills
+1 on changing that air filter. The air that you breathes makes a big difference. uncirculated fresh air from a bunch of sick people is really bad. You should leave the windows in your house open also to let fresh air flow in everynow and then also.
And what also helps big time to fight sickness is to drink alot of water and get plenty of excercise. Know its hard when you're sick but it really works. If I have the flu I do this and it's normally gone the next day
Hope you get better!
We regularly change our air filters, and they're all HEPA. I'm not sure the last time it's all been cleaned, but it is a relatively new house...
The best thing for me to do it just lay around, drink fluids, take my meds, and sleep as much as I can... I think maybe the Z pack wasn't strong enough, so hopefully this new one will work. Ugh...
I'M BETTER. THE ANTIBIOTICS HAVE WORKED! I'm sooo happy- the only remaining symptoms are a bit of lethargy, mostly from the mono, though. It's the weekend! I can ACTUALLY LEAVE THE HOUSE! Yesss, life is good :D
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Guess who's got pneumonia again :P Heavy stress flared up my mono, and now I've got it in my right lung. I caught it early, though, so hopefully it won't be too bad. I had been hiking the past couple days, and I assumed my coughing was due to allergies, and the soreness I kept feeling every evening was, well, soreness, but it was a fever.
I'm house sitting this weekend for a good friend and was hoping to throw some miniature parties each night; all of my friends are tokers, so I imagine I'm going to have to be creative as far as cannabis ingestion, because I'm certainly not smoking with this shit. I still have a good bit of my green dragon left; I don't feel like making brownies, but maybe I could mix up a batch of my good ol' spaghetti marijuana... Mmm...
Sorry to hear that matey, hope you get well soon, take care and good luck.:hippy:Quote:
