terrible Dr. Chronic experience

I ordered two packs of Mr. Nice Shark Shock seeds. I sowed them all. Have over twenty females and they are on day 39 of bloom. They stopped stretching a few days ago.

EVERY PLANT is a HEAVY SATIVA. They will need to go at least 90 days. The buds are tiny after about 40 days of flowering. Otherwise the plants are completely healthy.

Shark Shock is supposed to finish in about 55 days. I know that the Shock has a lot of sativa genetics in it, but also has Skunk. If i was mailed the correct seeds i am sure i would have had at least one that looks like all the Shark Shock advertisements.

THEY SENT ME THE WRONG SEEDS AND REFUSE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT

told me that they cannot discuss such things because they only sell collectables. Also told me not to lose my head.

I spent over a month vegging them, well over a hundred dollars purchasing them, lots of top quality nutrients feeding them, and 1800 Watts growing them. I am a caregiver for three sick medical M patients.
They did not care to do anything other than give me a wise ass response.

-The last time that you told this story you mentioned that Dr. Chronic had checked with the breeder and that they didn't have any recalls on their seeds. You also said that he offered to give you a free pack of feminised Great White Shark from Green House Seeds on your next order. It seems to me like he did more than give you a wise ass response.

Do you really think that he picked out some random sativa seeds and replaced your Shock Shark with those?

Instead of making multiple posts about your issue, why don't you try contacting the breeder directly. I am sure that they would love to know if Dr. Chronic is using their name to sell bunk seeds.

P.S. You failed to mention that you also ordered Dutch Passion's Power Plant and DNA's Purple Wreck. I assume that these were fine? So it's not like your entire order was screwed up, one strain that you ordered did not turn out like you expected. I would also go so far as to say that by the pictures you posted in a previous post, the plants look fine and don't look like "some 90 day sativa".

Not intentionally, but i do believe there was a mix-up, as do all others who have both read my post, and grown Shark Shock.

Why would you assume this? The P. Wreck have not been germed yet. The power plant are doing well.

So it's not like your entire order was screwed up, one strain that you ordered did not turn out like you expected.
Of the 3 packs of seeds i have germed, two of them are the wrong seeds. That's 2/3 of my order so far.

At best I would also go so far as to say that by the pictures you posted in a previous post, the plants look fine and don't look like "some 90 day sativa".

Sorry to hear you're having probs with your SharkShock grow...Sure would like to see pics...I've done biz with the doc many times and always got what I ordered...If I was you,I would've taken his GWS offer...I grew it out and it was awesome...

P.S. I didn't refute anything that you said the first time around. But when you got to the third thread about the same issue I started to speak up. I again suggest that you start contacting Mr. Nice about your seed 'mix up'. Dr. Chronic simply sends seeds directly from the breeder to you. He risks quite a bit to do that too.

-The guy is very hard to communicate with, but I think that that is because our languages are a little bit different (and he is most likely stoned out of his mind most of the time). I didn't keep any of my messages from him so I cannot cite examples. You are correct though, Shark-Shock does not come from Green House Seed. But again, I don't think that it was because he didn't pay close enough attention to your e-mail, I think that there are certain communication errors that come from talking to people in other countries.

-I would be very interested to see this if you could be honest about the time in the pictures. If you have access to a newspaper, it would be cool if you could hold up the date to the camera as well.


The reason that I defend Dr. Chronic is that I have had many many many good experiences with his seedbank. I want other people to be as happy with his service as I am. The problem is that a lot of people assume things that are simply not true. You accused him of sending you Haze seeds instead of the Shark-Shock, correct? There are a couple of problems with this statement and I would very much like to point them out to you.

1. You are claiming that you can identify the strain as Haze just by looking at it. The truth of the matter is that nobody can identify a strain by the way it looks. Anybody who claims to is denting their reputation.

2. You accused him of sending you Haze seeds instead of the Shark-Shock seeds that you ordered. When you say this to him, you are shooting down every possibility except for the one where he screwed up; not the best way to open up dialog with the man.


If you end up having a Sativa that takes over 13 weeks to flower than you could assume, and be almost 100% correct, that Dr. Chronic was not the one who screwed up. Look through every strain that he sells and count how many take 12+ weeks to flower. There might be one or two, but I doubt it (someone correct me if I am wrong here). So that really begs the question, where did he get ahold of the 12+ week flowering seeds to mix up with your Shark-Shock?


My goal here is not to just piss you off or call you a liar. I am sorry that you are having a bad experience with this strain, and I would like to see you resolve it. I do not believe that the issue lies with Dr. Chronic though.

First off DTrave those plants are gorgeous. That is the type of plant i was assuming i was going to receive. I did not take him up on his offer because the first order was NOT fulfilled. Instead of working with me on the first order i was told to place ANOTHER order and he would send me FIVE seeds. Not replace the 36 incorrect seeds.

As for diesel's comments, how do you know it is a 'HE'? Sounds like some top secret knowledge. Woman can be Dr.'s as well.

I have actually had plenty of correspondence with them when i was ordering to know that they understand English just fine. I was told that "Greenhouse seeds would have notified them if there was a problem with seeds." Greenhouse? Who the hell is concerned with them?

Are companies not allowed to recall? Uh yeah. I think they give refunds when they sell faulty items, right? They dont say, sorry we cannot do anything for you. As for discussing germination, that is not necessary. I posted links to many pictures. No discussion necessary. An acknowledgment and refund is all i was looking for.

I think i will be continuing to post the pictures of my grow as i have been. I have a log on another forum and will update this thread as well. As far as newspapers are concerned, i believe the people on this forum will take me on my word. you believing me, i am less concerned with, but i am glad you are making sure i explain everything thoroughly and are keeping this thread alive.

Wow so you are familiar with every strain they sell? Intimate knowledge you have of HIS scene. I never said it was haze. I said it seemed hazey from what i have read, and i have NEVER grown haze. Never do i claim that it is HAZE. But thanks for attempting to discredit me. You are just so caring towards Dr. Chrons business.

-He said that there was no recall. No recall; no refund. Although I do give you credit that he could have been checking with the wrong company.

-Absolutely not, which is why I asked someone to correct me if I was wrong. I do know that there are some almost 100% sativa strains that mature in under ten weeks. Any Sativa strain that took longer than twelve weeks to mature wouldn't sell worth a damn so I am assuming that there are no commercial strains that take longer than twelve weeks to mature.

If I worked for the guy I would jump right on this fourm and openly refund your seeds. The publicity that that would produce would more than pay for any loss I would incur. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Please answer me the following question though. If it happens to be a thirteen week sativa, where on earth would he get ahold of such seeds in the first place?

-Notice that I said nothing negative towards you after you posted about your problem the first time. The third time though, yeah, I am going to start saying something. That way when someone starts doing research on seed banks they won't see a whole bunch of bad stuff about Dr. Chronic all coming from a single person; and if they do they will see my bad stuff about your bad stuff and possibly take that into consideration.

Look, Dr C works for some people and doesn't work for others. Obviously USA customers will have the most problems. If you look at greenmans seed bank rating that is so famous, it says Dr C only ships to certain countries AND he doesn't have a good rating but has been around a long time due to tons of non US customers(yes i know some US people have still gotten their seeds). Dr C should try more stealthy ways and would have 0 problems. I say...who cares, everyone just pack it up and inhale..:hippy::jointsmile:

I 100% feel for this guy as he got some crappy strain and lost a lot of money due to a mix-up somewhere. I simply don't think that Dr. Chronic is to blame for this one.

You will see that you are not the only one who has had problems with Mr. Nice Seedbank. Several people had complained that the seeds that they ordered ended up being a heavy sativa instead of the strain that they ordered. They did not order from Dr. Chronic. The breeder from Mr. Nice Seedbank sent them new seeds. Do you see what they did there? They didn't bash the place that they ordered their seeds from, they asked if anyone else had had the same issue and as it turned out, they had!

I again encourage you to contact the breeder directly with your problems instead of complaining in multiple threads about how Dr. Chronic is scamming you. I will even add a link to the contact page of Mr. Nice Seedbank for you.

There were extra seeds in both packs. Funny how you come on to these forums and have twenty posts and feel that its appropriate to place judgements on my character. On multiple occassions. Sure hope i never shake your hand.
Yes i know its the same plant as GWS. More or less. Hence the reason i was expecting a similar looking plant.

As for calling it haze, yes i may have after more than a few growers told me they looked a lot like haze.

so by your logic if it does not take 13 weeks to flower than i was sent the correct seeds. But wait, i thought that the Shark Shock was a 55 day finisher. 55/7=7.85 For me, if it takes longer than two weeks past what they say it should finish in, then i am going to call foul. Thats just me though, maybe if you got a 7-8 weeker and it took 11 weeks you would not notice nor care...

And finally.......to put this to rest...... I contacted Mr. Nice Seeds the day i was told by Dr. Chronic that they could not discuss nor refund to me what is rightfully mine. Have not heard back from them.

No, if the strain ends up taking thirteen weeks to finish then it was not the fault of Dr. Chronic because he doesn't have thirteen week finishers just lying around to mix up.

I have been waiting patiently for you to post those pictures like you said you would, but I have seen nothing from you in quite some time.

Care to explain? Is it possible that your strain actually took 8-9 weeks to finish? I am thinking so.

P.S. I am going to call bullshit at your statement below. I searched for quite some time before coming up with that and find it hard to believe that a person who complained as much as you actually decided to do your research before complaining to Dr. Chronic.
