volcano resin

is there anyone else on here who not only has a volcano, but a vaporizer, who when they clean it wipe the resin off and smoke it. its fairly easy to do with the volcano as they come completely apart in terms of where the resin actually accumulates.

just heat up the parts and then wipe them with some rolling papers. and if your vaporizer is good it wont burn the papers with the resin on them anyways, so it would be pretty much comparable to smoking some really good hash, or thc oil.

and if you smoke dank weed, you know how quickly the vapor collects on the metal pieces. atleast once or twice a month i have to wipe the vaporizer out, especially when it gets daily use, like it has. and its really easy to heat up specific parts if you use the part that holds the green to act as a funnel to direct the heat on specific parts to be cleaned.

I'm a daily... 7-8 time a day vaping madaman...I clean my volcano once every 3-4 weeks... when I change my bag.

I use a heat gun and alcohol with Q-tips.... clenas everything easily

The only part on the volcano that is a must clean is the valve with the spring..cause it gets sticky and wont open

I clean my herbalaire peices many times with he same alcohol until it's nice and brown then I pour it into a dish and let it evaporate. I do this several times until I have a couple grams in the dish and then I make cannabutter capsules with that hash/resin/condensed vapor what ever you want to call it.

Here is a picture. That is all condensed vapor in the bowl, the alcohol is fully evaporated. And I usually let my alcohol get that dark before letting it evaporate.

How long does it take for alcohol to evaporote, cuz i need to clean by glassware and tubing but I dont want to wind up vaping alcohol:stoned:

It takes me several days, I also have it partially covered to try and stop dust. It takes me about 2 months to get about a gram or two, which I then get like 24 capsules from. Why smoke it when you can get as high as humanly possible?

EDIT: Oh after cleaning I would wash it out with water than let it air dry. That's what I do with my pieces that come out of the alcohol.

Im a daily volcano user, between an 8th to quarter of dank canadian buds between the gf and i, and ive always just cleaned my components in the sink with hot water and soap, and just turn the garbarator on to flush everything out, but ran outta smoke yesterday and "refrieds" as I call them, so I decided to clean it out and try the resin, i collected about a grape sized res ball and have been smoking it slowly like hash on top of "refrieds" that have already been through my smoking process, and so far its going GREAT. alot of bags and its gettin the job done. have had the volcano for 2 years this november and i LOVE it. :rastasmoke:

Yes, we routinely recover our vaporizer oil, by just washing out with ethanol and reducing it down for recycle.

Good stuff! Why would anyone waste it?>

I bought a vaporizer a couple of months ago. I really like it as it's much easier on the lungs. But I hear ya'll talking about smoking the resin and the "yucky" stuff on the parts...Aren't you really smoking the tars and hazardous chemicals we don't want in our lungs?

Not much of an issue, because the Vape isnt burning the plant matter(unless for some reason you are running it WAY too hot), so the bad stuff isnt being created.

What you would be smoking is almost 100% pure THC, as it condenses on the parts. It is great to add on top of another vape bowl, really adds to the buzz, and we also use it to add on top of leftovers when we rock a few bowls through our glass pieces.
