Seed Order Dalayed--Looking for peace of mind.

I placed a seed order about 21 days ago from the Doc. I also placed another one about 7 days after that one. The one I placed 7 days later showed up a while ago but the one placed first is still missing. I am just looking for some piece of mind on this issue.
If the order was intercepted by customs would that be a cause for delay? Does customs hold onto orders for over a week before sending it back out with a note?
How possible is it that the order went missing--seriously, how often does mail actually go missing?
Is it at all possible that it is being held as evidence in an ongoing investigation on me? Should I destroy any plants that I may have growing due to fear that they might be withholding the order as-is to show as evidence in a courtroom?
I am a long time reader and am just looking for some peace of mind. Any answers are really appreciated!
Thank you.

You shouldn't order seeds to the grow address. I wouldn't panic. Why not email Dr. and see if there has been a mistake? Sometimes things get messed up, especially with 2 orders.
SeedBoutique left my order in shipping for 2 weeks, then I emailed and it was here 5 days later.
Curious to find out more....

I have already send him some messages and here is what he had to say:
When I asked if it was at all normal to receive the second package before the first package he responded with the following:
"Hi its the postal service its never ever run correct .. give it a while longer .. if no joy get back to us."
He also mentioned the following:
"...if your order has been intercepted it can take up to 4 weeks to get a notification."
Is that last part true? When an order is confiscated by customs, do they hang onto the package for two weeks before sending it back out? I always assumed that they removed the contraband and then resent the package with a nice little letter inside.
It has been three weeks for an order that consistantly took 4-6 days in the past. That is why I am pretty worried actually. I would have thought that if it was nabbed that it would have already arrived by now. I can only imagine that the reason that it is taking so long is that it is being 'looked into' by someone who is wanting to do more than just remove the contraband and send it on its way with a letter inside.
So I resubmit the question. Is it normal for customs to detain a package two weeks before forwarding it without its contents or has my package been forwarded to my local police department instead?
Any peace of mind is appreciated.
Again, Thank You!

So I have an update for everyone.
A the last week in Janurary, I asked the Doc for a resend and he did it no problem. He resent the exact item that I ordered the first time even though the first time it didn't show up (not a cheap product).
A few days after I received the resent package, I was notified that the original package had been returned to the Doc (9 weeks later) and marked as undeliverable--Simply an error with the postal service.
So that's that. I got my beans, the Doc resent for free, and my original letter didn't show up in the hands of the LEO.

		Thanks for the update.
FYI: One person said he received a envelope that was empty with a yellow sticker on it that said-confiscated, customs or something like that.
Too bad they didn't re-send original pkg. to you when they got it back. To thank you for being a good patient customer and reward you for being honest! I'd say, that would be really good business for a rec! Regardless, they came thru and no harm, except your time and anquish. In other lines of retail, they do send a gift for honesty and patience!
I was suppose to receive soemthing recently and still waiting! Now, I am worried, like you--they have my P.O. Box #! Wherever it went!
I think we all need closure on these type of issues. Thanks for letting us knw! P/R!

"Too bad they didn't re-send original pkg. to you when they got it back."
One of the representatives offered to, but I explained the situation to him and told him that I did not want it. Morally, doing what you suggested would be bullshit. They resent my original order on good faith (I could have received it and wanted more for free and proclaimed it as lost), they resent the exact same item (Expensive White Widow) and not some knock-off product (Bargain-Brand White Widow), and they did it all free of charge.
On top of all of that, I wasn't really being a "good customer". I probably sent him 20 messages in the course of 8 weeks. He was patient and responded to all of them. I also didn't wait the 8 weeks before sending a complaint; their website says that they have an 8 week waiting period.
Even if I had absolutely no morals and wanted to screw the Doc out of every free item I could get, I got the strains that I would like to try for a good long while and the last thing that I would want is another package having any chance of getting nabbed or lost in the mail.

Knock on wood I haven't had any problems with my deliveries and the two I got from the Doc were here in less then 2 weeks. Glad you got yours. Did you ever have any success with you Dieselryder?

Sort of a derail, but I did actually.
I have a single extremely healthy girl that has been successfully polinated by two males. Although this is my first time growing for seeds, I would guess that it has only about 1-2 weeks more to go until the seeds become ripe; I am going to keep it flowering until the seeds just barely start falling out on their own though.
It should be about 3 more weeks until it is ready to be harvested for smoking. The plant smells fantastic, but the resin production is lacking (possibly from seed setting).
I actually prefer a less potent product though because I really enjoy the act of smoking, and being an individual who doesn't smoke often I don't usually get past the first hit or two before I am pretty much forced to put the pipe down. I cannot wait to try this plant and hope that it is as wonderful to smoke as it is to smell.
I will be planting the new seeds as soon as they are ready. I am very curious to see if the poor traits exhibited in the first set of seeds is carried over to the next generation. I think I may even plant three seeds per pot and just pick out the weekest ones, just to guarentee that I don't have pots without sprouts.

Only one girl and one boy survived on my first grow but that was a problem with the pump that I did not catch in time. Here is a picture of the girl right before harvest I pollinated her with the male. I haven't grown any of her seeds yet but someone I gifted some seeds with is having the same oddball issues. I talked to another grower who said he has grown 40 DRs and didn't have problems so go figure. Did you get yours at Dr Chronic too? She was pretty short maybe a total of 5 inches but her smoke was surprisingly potent.

I did indeed get the seeds through the Doctor. My female is probably twelve inches tall at the most, and was pollinated by two taller males (both of which grew identical to each other).
She has 9 major buds on her at the moment and is quite filled-out. I can tell that there is not going to be very much 'popcorn-bud' on her. She doesn't 'look' nearly as potent as the bagseed I am growing but she smells fantastic! A week ago the entire room smelled like nasty gym socks for a few days, but that eventually subsided and gave way to an all new sweet and sour smell. My plants always seem to have a different smell from week to week. I would love to say that these plants smell like Sour Diesel, but I am not sure what diesel fuel smells like. So if anyone could let me know what diesel fuel smells like I would really appreciate it.
I set up an area in my soil section where eight T8 bulbs will light six DieselRyders from several different angles. Because I suck at growing in soil and I only have one more shot at salvaging my seed purchase, my single plant is growing in a pot filled with rockwool and expanded clay pebbles; I water her several times a day by hand.
Once I get the seeds from this plant, I will probably do one more seed run before growing sensimillia. I plan on doing a continual harvest every two weeks to give me something to look forward to every other week.
Sorry if all of that was too much information.
I would like to hear more about the 'oddball issues' that your friend is having though. Are we talking about the oddball issues that I encountered during germination, or are we talking about the four foot tall non-autoflowering kind of oddball issues?
(holy crap I am tired--goodnight world)

I'll be interested to hear if they guy who grew 40 without any problems bought his there. The oddball problems are the same we had growing upside down and growing up out of their grow medium. They do seem to grow better after that first week. I broke one of my tap roots but was able to keep it alive but its growth looks to be stunted we'll see. I have been growing this strain in an aerogarden and they are actually do very well in them. I will probably try them out in soil as soon as I have the room.

I can totally deal with that 'issue' so long as I get a plant full of seeds. 200+ seeds means that I can plant multiple seeds per pot and pull out all but the strongest seedling. It was a big issue for me when I only had ten seeds to start with and I was, day after day, counting down the number of viable seedlings that were left. I also wouldn't be surprised if, after enough generations, that the germination issues work themselves out of the gene-pool. I am much more worried about losing the autoflowering trait after several generations than I am dealing with seedlings that commit suicide.
In other words, it is far easier to weed out a genetic trait that shows itself within the first week of a plants life than it is to weed out one that causes problems 10 weeks in during the flowering phase.
After I pollinated my plant the tips of the buds turned light purple for a few days. I can also see some deeper colours within the leaves and I imagine that if I flush the plant and keep it cool, that I could end up having some purple buds.
As soon as the seeds are ready I will be planting 54 of them in soil. I am guessing that they will do much better in dirt and I will be sure to let you know how it goes.

I was able to deal with the issues and I did get all ten of mine to get beyond their suicidal tendencies but its a pain trying to correct it without snapping their tap roots.

I didn't want to bump this thread, but I couldn't figure out how to send a private message to you lunarose (is it even possible?).
My single remaining plant has made it and produced enough seeds for me to keep the strain alive. The plant is not quite ready yet and I am going to give it another week or so before I chop it.
I started watering with H2O only about a week ago and the plant has started turning purple. Another week of water and I do believe that I will have myself some purple bud. I am going to be planting 12 of the seeds tomorrow and I will let you know how they do if you would like.
If there is any way that I can contact you without bumping this thread please let me know.
