Looking good man!
You inspire me to get my rig setup..
Be careful not to let the light get too close to the plants. Also a circulation or exaust fan would be great for an area that small to extract the excessive heat.
i have a sliding closet, so i vent alot of the heat out that way, and in my room i have a big over head fan.
i need some help on the strains that are growing, ie. grow times, etc. etc. i cant seem to find any info on the lemon green skunk.
updt its been about 11 days into flowering and my sage plants are popping up with all kinds of white pistol hairs!!!
ps anyone watching my log?
new pics, sorry do not have that great of a camera
did you veg at all? how close is the light? for having a 400w MH they are awfully skimpy. not trying to be insulting, but you should be doing much better.
the one looks like a clone maybe?
are you feeding nutes?

no, not feeding nutes, just using fox farm soil.
funky, the distance you should be aiming for with the light is when you can put your hand at the top of the plant(s) and keep it there for about 5 seconds before having to move it. move the light up just a tad. if that's the case cool.
you probably want to look into some nutes. i use miracle grow with no problems. others say it sucks. i am looking for some different nutes (i'm still in veg). i found some super bloom at lowes for like $6. it something like 10-50-10. i haven't used it yet so i don't know how good it is. but you want a high amount of phosphorus in flower, with low nitrogen and potassium.

1-2 pics are lemon green skunk
3-4 pics are durban poison and cough
anyone out there that can give this newbie advice ??
Howdy FcD!!! I think your plants are starvin'...I've read all kinds of opinions about the feeding of seedlings...Many say to hold off on nutes until they're two or even three weeks old...I think those opinions are incorrect...I feed mine at least once during their first week and that's besides the lump of earthworm castings they're sittin' in...
alright i bought me some nutes this morning :giggity::rastabanna::greenthumb::greenthumb:
:vap_smiley::smokebong::bigsmoke:
i added nutes to the 2 sage plants, hopefuly we will see some improvment
2 lemon green skunk
1 durban poison
1 cough
the rest. i havent feed nutes to the young'ins yet, any idea to how long i should wait to start feeding nutes? should i wait til there about as tall as the sage plants are as of now?
I usually feed small plants 1/4 strength nutes,1/4 tsp SuperThrive, and 1 tbs of Sweet per gallon...Don't use the Sweet if you're going to also use this as a foliar spray...
Congrats on the girl! A small fan blowing on the plants really strengthens their stems, like they were outside in the wind.
I got good news today too. My NLHaze babies are all 3 girls. It always is a happy day when you know you have a girl after all that hard work isn't it?
Keep up the hard work:thumbsup:
Good 1st grow, Im no expert, but I would say those plants are too small for the MH. A cheap $10 t-12 lighting fixture with 2 40w 6500k bulbs works very well for my plants for the first 2-3 weeks. You can keep the light within inches, no heat, save some electricity, companct growth.
I would say raise the light up some, I dont think they can use all of those lumens with so few leaves. (I recently put my 6" clones under a 600W MH at a big distance and the plants didnt like it, now they're back under their easy does it CFL light)

new pics of the sage after a few days of nutes being feed to them.:jointsmile:
others starting to grow:rastasmoke:
It's Northern Lights #5 and Haze, so that would make it's genetics Northern Lights/Thai and on the other side Haze is a sativa which if I remember is Colombian/Mexican. I can't remember if it has any Brazilian in it or not. So it's a hybrid. Looks totally indica however. Best plant I've ever seen at this stage.
None of my business, but I'd veg those plants a little more under the MH before
flowering. Buff em up a little. But I tend to grow trees.....so maybe shouldn't listen to me..LOL
Looking OK...:)Hope everything works out 4 ya "FcD"...Forgot to mention, while I am a proponent of early feeding, take into account the amount of light you're able to provide to the plants when feeding em...To much food can be just as bad as not enough...:smokin:
no i hear ya, im currently trying to get a veg setup, as right now, i have nothing....Quote:

Again looking good man..
Can't wait to pick your brain when all this is done to get myself setup with something.
Quick Question for you.
How strong is the smell in that room from the plants?
as of right now no smell so far... they havent fully budded yet, so im thinking when they start to fourm nice dense flowers they will start to smell....Quote:

Aloha FCD,
Thanks for the rep.
I do have one suggestion.
You'll need to re-pot soon.
When you do, use a little more soil.
Fill the pot almost level, it will settle when watered.
That "bowl" of dead air can promote mold.
It's also a good idea to have an oscillating fan blowing across the tops of the pots.
Still, they're looking good.
Best of luck with it.

Are you switching for an HPS when flowering the ladies?

love all the advice......
When you get a couple of extra bucks, you don't need to buy a HPS system...Just buy a 400WATT HPS conversion bulb...It will work in your present system...:)Quote:
