drug test tomorrow for parole

well tomorrow i will take the test. I smoked last week, 8 days ago. Prior to that I haven't smoked in about four months. I downloaded the detox drink cookbook. So this is the method i will use. I did what the book said and passed an at home test the other day. I've been drinking water everyday since i stopped smoking. Not gallons, but just the recommended 8 glasses a day. I'm still paranoid because if i fail this will be the second time. The first time that i failed I tried drinking a shit load of water. I know i should have never smoked in the first place, but mari-jane kept on calling me:) Well I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, if I make it back home. So if I don't post tomorrow then i'll be in the bing for 30 days! If anyone wants the detox drink recipe let me know and i will post it. Wish me luck!

OK....I'll be the first to bite the bullet. I have used the dilution method described here in the forum with great results. Now...this inquiring mind would like to hear what you found. Please share.

He did not update us the next day so maybe he ended up in "The Bing" for the next 30 days. I hope not, but It looks like we might not want to know what was in his home brew detox drink.

Does milk thistle help one to pass a piss test? Because I started taking it everyday on the recommendation of my doctor when I had an abnormal liver function test, and when she retested me after taking it for 4 weeks, the cbc and all was back at normal levels...I haven't been tested yet though I am up for being tested if they call me, and am more than a little concerned if it shows up for anything.

Milk thistle has no effect on THC. There is nothing that can rid the body of THC. Only time and fat-burning exercise can accomplish this.

All magic "detox" potions work via the principle of dilution. That means they work because of the amount of water consumed, which is required. Why waste money on magic potions when the same actions can be duplicated for $$$ less by following N2's Dilution recipe?

In addition, drinking fluids days before the test is of no help. Your kidneys may get a workout, but the rate in which the kidneys filtering in THC metabolites from the bloodstream remains unaffected. Drinking fluids is only good for the day of the U/A.

Nowhere does the author specifically mention THC metabolites. So what makes you think Insulin has any effect on THC metabolites, which get released back into the bloodstream (as a result of fat cells being burned for energy) and end up in the urine?

What I believe he is saying is the insulin stops the liver from releasing fat, which is where the THC is stored. So you are basically pissing away the other toxins and not the THC.

Like i said before i'm no scientist. All I know is the drink worked for me when i took the home test and it wasn't because I drank alot of water. So explain that smart guy!

This is a claim often used by the other potion peddlers as a sales pitch. The thing is, there is no substantiation to that claim.

The only proven way to prevent (or at least hinder) THC metabolites from being released back into the bloodstream is to avoid all exercising and be lazy as possible. This should be done in the 2-3 days leading up to the scheduled U/A. Most potion peddlers know this and many note on their product instructions to avoid all exercise prior and while taking their product. A smart idea on their part, considering that their sales pitch claims hold no water.

As I already stated, detox potions work via the principle of dilution. When they do work, its because of the fluid consumption associated with the products use. When ingesting fluids as instructed, you are diluting - not much to be flagged for being "too-dilute", but enough to effectively reduce the concentration of THC metabolites present in the urinestream, so the urine sample registers below the cutoff threshold of the home test.

The actions of dilution techniques are only temporary. Once all of the fluids taken in had been voided out, a "dirty" donor is going to resume testing positive for THC.

Dilution techniques, in any configuration, can backfire if the concentration of THC metabolites is too high. For most heavy smokers, it is impossible to dilute without overdiluting and raising the red flags.
