Whats this place for, then?

If, according to del..., we have to "keep your personal comments to each other where they belong" then, like, whats this place for? And, if del... deleted a thread just because he/she wasn't interested in the topic of the thread, then is it safe to say that he/she is abusing their 'power'? I'm just confused.. whatever the reason we need mods on forums, im sure its not to delete threads that dont interest them, lock threads that question why they did what they did, and to pretty much tell the users of the forum to keep their opinions to themselves. Does he/she want this forum to never have any threads or what? Im probably gonna get flamed and/or banned for this thread, but hey, you can always delete it

If they don't want personal comments being made, then they need to make a board specifically for them. Or else turn on PM'ing for everyone, rather then just paying people.

How about come up with something cool? Like up the cost to 25 bucks and make 5 dollar t-shirts at a t-shirt press that say:
"I'm an official member of Cannabis.com" or something similar in cheesiness. I'd be alot more likely to give you money if I was getting a little something more then an extra board and an ability that I should have for free anyway. I'm sure others feel the same as well.

I wondered the same thing, doesn't it say under cannabis.com lounge, that the Lounge is for threads about nothing in particular? Maybe "nothing in particular" needs to be more clearly defined. :confused: And it's funny that some mods are never around or are only in chat...what's the point of that? It seems that only one around (most of the time) is Lulu. And who the fuck is Syncro?!!

Exactly....Online forums are put in place for people to put out information..experience's and also learn new things from other people..Whats the point if we cant throw out are personal experience's or thoughts? And ive been questioning the new mods ive been seeing around dont seem very familure.

No way. There are areas directed for that, but i wouldnt say the lounge is just for those things. Its for where stoners meet up and talk. What they talk about should be up to them.

do you really want threads like "post a sentence made of random words" on the main page of a pot site? is that the kind of portrait you want the newcomers to see? now if it was alone in the midst of threads it would be different, however at the time of that post the poster already had 15% of the general room covered with threads pertaining to anything but cannabis...and the personal threads have a place too. not here tho...we have plenty of play rooms set aside just for that activity. the general room is the entry point for most newcomers and 1st are impressions can only happen once. all these personal relationships that develope here are great but does not mean this place is meant for all the "just wanna say high" threads and all the "love ya..." ones...which like i already said are great...but out of place. if the "MOVE" function worked i would use it but until it does it's just the way it is...

The point i'm trying to make, is that you could delete EVERY single thread just because you find it innapropriate, or 'silly'. But what would that achieve? People would stop bothering to start as many threads because they might get deleted, and I imagine the boards would eventually slow down to a crawl. I mean, I understand why you delete some threads (even though I disagree) but the "Just wanted to say high" and "I love you" threads should have a place here, too, as boring as they are
