Is it to early to flower for this noob

I have been growing my plants for exactly 1 month now and they are doing great. On My tallest plant I used LST on it because I am limited for growing space, but it has about 5 nodes off main stem. My biggest overall plant has s6 nodes off main stem an is about 8 inches tall has little branches growing off branches nothing huge(all 3 plants have this) it's very bushy and compact. The plant had the top of its leaves burnt slightly and new growth was sightly affected. My third plant is almost the exact same as my second just not as bushy and robust it's like a mini version of it. Is it possible to force the plants into flowering right now or do I have to wait till the plant grows more? Also I know this cant be answered 100% but would anyone have a guesstemate of how long I have left(weeks or months)? I can put pictures up tomorrow for people to get a look at them.



If it helps I am growing WW with miracle grow soil. I also have a CFL set up with 1 13 watt CFL, 2 20watt cfls, 2 23 watt cfls 1 30 watt cfls. The average temp in my grow box is 72 lights on 63 lights off. Can anyone give me maybe a rough time frame of how long I have left? I know details are vague sorry:(

Here are the pictures that I said I would put up the first couple photos are of the plant I used LST on. theres a good amount of undergrowth. The plant looks a little droopy buts its perked back up after I watered it.

The Second set of photos are of my third plant. This plant was on the brink of being non exsistant. I went a way this past weekend and the plant was looking very droopy when i came back, I stepped out for two hours after I checked it and when I came back it was almost drying up. Not much undergrowth not sure why(like this before it got shrivled up) but its growing great other than the near death expirence.

This is the third plant the light touched the top leaves and burnt them a little. All these plants are after one month. I used Nirvana WW for the seeds.

I veg my WW for 30 days (10-15 inches tall) and flower for 9-11 weeks...:thumbsup:...enjoy (crippling high)

Have you transplanted, lately? Soon as they show their sex, transplant into largest pot available.

When you transplant,I'd get rid of the clay pots...Go gentle with the nutes...WW doesn't have the appetite that some strains have and she doesn't like wet-feet in soil...

I learned that hard way, too..:wtf:..it's very hard to get the plants to slide out of terra cotta (clay) pots. Stick with plastic..:thumbsup:

Drill extra holes. add perlite and don't use drip pans. The water needs to flow out completely.

I prefer clay pots. Of course I don't mind tapping them with a hammer to crack-em in order to open them up to transplant into bigger pots either. Ain't like they're that expensive to replace.

Good luck. Not only are they heavier to work with, they're difficult to transplant...they hold the heat/cold, they promote mold and algae, (that's where the term "green thumb" comes from...gardeners picking-up the the terra-cotta pots, the thumb turns green from the mold/algae on pots) and finally...salts (and other potentially toxic minerals) absorb into the pot itself.

Stick with plastic. They last forever, and usually don't contribute to a plants problems like the terra cotta pots do.

Thanks for the advice everyone and sorry for the delay. A few things Im on day 5 of flowering so far. The whole terra cota clay pots are gonna have to stay. Im too worried about transplants and I dont have to much room so I was kinda hoping the smaller pots would stunt their growth a little. The lighting i posted early comes to like 6000lumens I believe or around there. Since in flowering should I take out a light or just leave them all in I know its a very small personal grow and its my first grow but Iwant it to go great. Hopefully 7 more weeks to go.

I would argue that they are NOT difficult to transplant. In fact I feel like crackin the pot and peeling off the clay is easier on the plant. Holding the heat and cold in indoor growing is not necessarily a bad thing in the right set up. It seems to keep a better mid-range. I've also found that plastic is actually more likely to promote mold and algae. I get NONE in the climate where I live with clay. Plastic on the other hand is a nightmare. Salts, yes, can be a problem. One grow then you trash the motherfuckers. (The pots that is).

But then, while I've been around for a few years doing this, I'm no pro so do whatever works best for you.

I did have the chance at the beginning to go plastic but then I let my poor judgement get the best of me. Im definetly going to go with squar plastic pots next time. I do personally like the clay pots a little better but I have to constantly check them for mold (none so far knock on wood) not to much of a hassel I have the time but annoying. Can anyone tell me what the lighting should be for my box for flowering?

You can start flowering since the plants will still grow taller and wider during flower. Also, transplant soon and fillt he soil to the top of the pot. ;)

I still don't understand how you're getting all this mold, algae, and "green fingers" from using clay or "terracotta" pots. Where the heck are you getting your pots? I can ASSURE you that mold and algae are FAR more likely to occur using plastic pots in any halfway humid environment.

I think there might be some slight confusion. I never said there was mold I just check to make sure there isn't any. I know the pots can get wet I just check them when I get the chance to make sure there is no mold on them and there hasn't been any mold on them what so ever just to clear things up
