It's been out for a few weeks now. Has anyone tried this new portable vape? It looks very promising, just don't know how good the vapor is. I would love one of these for the boat. Ever since getting my herbalaire I can't even stand smoking anymore.

Yeah, I ordered one on 'pre-sale' at a reduced price and have been using it regularly for the last two weeks. It works well. Very stealth, although you do get a hissing noise during heating/reheating. It gives you Volatizer VM3 type size and stealth for $200 less. Is the vapor comparable to the herbalaire when using it as a direct draw vape? I hope it's better but even if its the same I'm very interested. Does the temperature seem accurate to what they are claiming, 374f if I remember correctly. Also does it really last 2 hours on one fill up? Thanks for your help man!
You mean are the hits comparable? Vapor quality, after all, is just a matter of applying the right temp range. Opinions differ on the herbalAire hits from direct draw. I don't like it for direct hits. I think the 18 tiny inlet holes, which make the herbie so efficient, work against big volume hits. But I've heard some say they really like it for direct draw. It's definitely easier to get some big hits from the I-inhale (a short piece of tubing helps a lot, and Vaporstore is including a piece with their units), but some hits you have to take on faith unless you're in really good lighting to see vapor exhales. I find you get some good taste on the first hit or so. Temp is pretty accurate I believe. The color of the remains is a consistent brown. I haven't tested the 2 hr. run time, but if you're in doubt about how much fuel you have, just top it off before you go mobile. I think I've refilled it 3 times in two weeks, with daily use. Of course it all depends on how long it's on. My use tends to be in short bursts. Passing it around with 3-4 people and refilling bowls would drain the fuel supply much quicker.Quote:

I just got mine a couple days ago. I love it! As far as the noise from it heating, it isn't loud at all. But if being super-duper stealth is an issue, you can just put the unit in the carrying case while it is on and have the mouthpiece extended out of the zipper hole. That would make it extremely quiet. If you did that you could use it in a movie theater even during silent/quiet parts. :jointsmile:
The vapor hits are thick... especially if you let it heat up for 2-3 minutes (instead of the 45 seconds their site claims) and then draw long and slow. I can't really compare it to anything because the only other vaporizer I've ever used was a lightbulb vape. But this definitely puts that to absolute shame. I can't imagine a better vape. The hits are thick and pure, and the unit never burns the herb... just turns it all brown. People that have used the volcano and other top vapes say the hits are comparable.
You can turn it on and leave it in your pocket... go for a walk while it heats up, then just hit it whenever. No one is going to know what it is. I walked around my neighborhood with it the other day. I just pretended I was talking into it like a walkie talkie. I walked right by a cop car with the cop looking at me. I even hit the thing in front of him, pretending like I was chewing on the antenna. If you were worried you could put it in a McDonalds cup and extend the mouthpiece out the straw hole with some tubing or something.
For someone, like me, who really likes smoking outside... now he can vape. The possibilities are endless. Somebody deserves a nobel peace prize for inventing this thing.
I know Dopefiend has been pushing this trinket on his show.
I have an herbalaire which works great. This one looks like a nice piece of work.

Amazing little unit. It they were a hundred bucks cheaper they'd be all over the place.
I got one a few days ago (still £130 up till xmas on vapefiend). It's awesome. It's my fifth vape, including the Herbalaire and the Volcano, but this is now my favourite as I can LEAVE THE HOUSE with it. It's easy to start up, although as stated it does need a bit longer than 45 secs for a decent draw and it smokes (?) well.
It leaves the weed a golden brown like the Volcano as opposed to the dark brown 'nothing left' of the Herbalaire and it does the job.
It's a bit harder to pull on than the Herbalaire 'direct draw' (even with restrictor removed), but that's my only complaint even though a gas level view window would be nice.
I've used flame based portable vapes, but I've never got them truly smokeless. This is.
I don't know about leaving it in the case to warm up though as the guy above said, maybe a loose pocket but it does get hot. Not too hot to hold, but it makes a nice handwarmer in the cold (another plus) and I wouldn't be too sure about enclosing the heat in the case which is quite snug.
Did I mention that you can LEAVE THE HOUSE with it... :jointsmile:
It sounds nice but the PD sounds nicer, and is $100 cheaper. For me at least when I leave the house I will be in either in a car or boat so a power source is no biggie. Either way I gotta get my self something for christmas.
The PD is a nicer home vape that has limited portability. I've used a Vapolution battery pack with it to good effect, but you can't start it up cold with a battery or turn it on and be vaping in two minutes in the open like you can with the I-inhale. For the money, you can't beat the phone size I-inhale for stealth portability. The only other competition is the VM3 for $450.Quote:

Hey i just wanted to bump this thread and see if anyone else has purchased it and had any problems.. Im really considering buying one but another website reported alot of problems so im not sure what to do.:hippy:
A lot of problems? I dunno about a lot of problems. Nobody but the company knows how many they've sold vs. how many warranty claims they've had. But I haven't seen a lot of posters saying theirs crapped out. One guy has been relentlessly engaged in a vendetta against the company (on multiple forums) because his had a problem, he opened it up and operated on it, and they voided his warranty because he took it apart.Quote:

I've had one since they came out last Oct. and like it a lot. I use it probably 4-5 days a week for portable use. Since it's a new product it'll take time to evaluate long term reliability. They do offer a 2 yr. warranty, which is pretty good for a hand held, lightweight vape like this. The company also has about 25 yrs. experience producing gas powered tools, which has to be a plus. If you're really hot to get a stealth portable, I'd say go for it. It does a great job. If you're worried, wait and see. They do intend to introduce more models. You can also get some info straight from a company rep here- Fuck Combustion - Vaporizer Forum / I-inhale vaporiser . If you decide to buy, the best deals are from UK sellers on eBay. They're selling for as little as $150 delivered to the US. Even better prices if you're in the UK.
I'll most likely be getting one of these in the future. I've heard good things and a friend just got one.

I read it in those forums. I didn't read every page but I did read them say how they would improve the unit and make it better. I would have no clue when/if it's coming out. Like I mentioned , I could be wrong . Best bet is to contact the company .:thumbsup::hippy:Quote:

Damn...I wanted an i-Olite, not an i-Inhale. They made minor fixes so the 2 are different. Plus I don't have Paypal. Good price though...:hippy:

Hope you like the iolite highroader. I've enjoyed mine as a stealth portable. At this point only the name has changed. Two changes they're sure to make in future production models can pretty much be made by the user- No bottom screen and a non removeable heating pin. They've found it works just as well (or better) without that screen, and removing the pin/screwing it back in can be tricky (can strip the threads). So if I were you I'd take that screen out and leave it out. They're also beta testing a much longer moisture condenser (goes in the extension instead of the mouthpiece), but I've been using mine with no condenser, and if they decide to go with the longer one (about 29mm), it can always be added in place of the original condenser.
I have to say again, I really love this thing ! Everyone I show it to says it looks like a wakie talkie or ipod ;)

ive been comparing and reading reviews on some various vapes and the only one ive really ever tried is a volcano
this i-inhale looks sweet, my only question about the handheld devices is how much smoke can these produce? do you have to let it build back up after each hit or is it somewhat like the volcano where it can be passed around a few times
something so small just seems like it would kick out a hit or two then need to be refilled, can someone fill me in on how the handheld vapes work?
edit: i know its not real smoke.. you get the drift, to high to correct my errors
Do some more reading on vapes Sweedman. If the volcano is your baseline of judgement then try some more. For the most part you DO get what you pay for but it really has more to do with engineering, design, construction, parts, heating mechanisms and the sorts rather than just size. Not easy factors to judge. In fact, it sounds like this little buster will rip quite well for its stature, nothing like a volcano but it sounds respectible and incredibly stealth! I want one! Sell em for $170 in Los Angeles somewhere i am considering picking one up.
But yeah, i don't think it can get as good pulls as a volcano. Heard one guy vapes it then vapes it again in a different vaporizor with a higher temp set to fill another bag or two..so it sounds "alright" on efficiency. Oh i almost forgot, i cracked up at this
