Ok... here it is... first the pics of the grow "room"
Its a 6ft triangle, 8 ft tall with a home made fixture hanging from the open top via rope and pullys, with a half dozen 26 watt CFLs. The sides have a total of 10 2tube 48inch T-12, 5000K flourescent tubes. I have a 16inch box fan that blows in from the bottom.

		Ok... heres whats growing....
2 Nor Cal Daddy's Girl plants (Thanx IR, my friend)
 1 Arjans Ultra Haze #1
 1 Afghani-Hindu Kush.

Seeds were planted Sept 25. I have had to transplant them because of issues with the soil I started with(Gorilla Grow from Lowes) had too many nutes in it and was holding way too much water. I went to MG potting soil and they all are taking off. I just planted the Affi seed Oct 12.

I will update with new pics about once a week as I am able.

Comments and questions are welcome :D

Here's the week 2 pics..... I do have a question tho... its looking like one of the NCGD plants it trying to burn... I have not added any nutes and just using tap water that has set out for 24 hours. Lights are 3 - 4 inches from the tops of the plants, still on 18-6. Ideas? suggestions??

I only use T-12 fluoro tubes for vegging....safe as mother's milk.

vegging is about growing roots...not leaves. IMO. (transplant when roots show out the bottom of the pot)

If you're staying with the MG soil, may I suggest adding some perlite and fine dolomite lime to it when you transplant...
Hope you don't mind me taking a seat Mississippi...Subscibed...:420thought:

If your talking about the plant in pic 3, I got one doing that. Might just have too wet soil. I have my NCDG in styrofoam 200z cups right now, and I water with a spray bottle. About 10-12 squirts a day to prevent over-watering. Just my :twocents: If your soil isnt too wet, dont know what to tell ya, lol. I am not feeding anything other than tap water right now as well...

Steve, I think ya got a bit of magnesium deficiency going on there, not nute burn: Revised: The Complete Guide To Sick Plants,pH and Pest Troubles - PlanetGanja.com
she's 50% Cinderella 99, which has been called a 'magnesium hog' before ... I never found that to be necessarily so, but it's something to think about ... but, don't go too wild with anything to remedy it, she tends to be a light-to-medium feeder, in my experience ...

This is not advice...it's just what I do...:D

I add a pinch of epsom salt, mixed with every water. Seedling to Harvest. (I think white widow is a "mag hog", too).

Here is week 3 pics... gonna have to raise the lights again, the ultra haze is gonna be another monster. I got some cal-mag ordered up... it should be here Monday or Tuesday. I have started feeding with Shultz liquid ferts.. 14 drops per gallon.

Just for grinns... does molassas have magnesium in it??

anyway, I will post another set of pics in a week.:D

BTW... I also FIM'ed the ultra haze and the larger of the two NCDG.

Hopefullythe cal-mag takes the edge off...I just looked at a bottle of Plantation Blackstrap Molasses and it lists the Magnesium at 8% per Tbsp based on a 2000 calorie diet for us...Good luck Mississippi...

OK...got the cal-mag equivelant from Home Depot.. they call it "garden lime". Transplanted my babies, after adding the garden lime to the MG potting soil(without moisture control), and added Superthrive to the watering mix along with Shultz liquid. Marked improvement overnight.. was worried I was gonna lose the smaller of the 2 NCDG. Anyway.... The temperature in their crib runs between 75 and 80 degrees when the lights are on.

First pic is the larger of the 2 NCDG plants.
Second is the one I thought I was gonna lose.:(
third pic is the Ultra Haze... its really happy under lights.
the 4th pic is all 3 of them in their crib :D

I hope the puny one looks a lot better next week

Glad to hear you're ironing it all out Mississippi...Good stuff that SuperThrive is but don't overdo it...No more than 1/4 tsp per gallon and don't use it when your flowering...

When I go to flower, I will switch out the molasses for the superthrive. 1 question about the cal-mag tho... other than the original treating the potting mix when I transplant, do I need to add more?? This stuff is in a dry sand/powder mix If I need to add more, do I mix it in the water/nute mix?? or do I add it dry to the soil in the pot?? or what???

I havn't any experience with cal-mag or garden lime...I use 1 TBS of dolomite lime per gallon of grow medium... I've heard of people adding dolomite lime to their water and working it into their grow medium/soil if they didn't put it in there in the first place but I don't see why you should have to ammend your soil again in any way if you buffered it properly to begin with...:stoned::smokin:

From what I have read, dolomite lime, cal-mag, and garden lime, are all the same thing. My 2 NCDG plants are better after adding the garden lime, but it seems like they are starting to go back to where they were... I am wondering if I need to add a little more. Is there a test to find out what and/or how much??

I guess you could work a little more lime into the soil if you think that's the problem..."Indoor Marijuana Horticulture"says a mag deficiency can be treated with 2 tsp of epson salts per gallon of water...Good luck friend...

Steve, your plants are burning, see the tips ? ... back off the nutes, use 1/2 doses, once a week ... DUMP the SuperThrive in the garbage where it belongs, probably the source of your burning (SuperThrive is helpful for rooting, and rooting only, otherwise kills plants) ... also, those type of pots are bad, they allow the plant to sit in water at the bottoms ... cannabis needs excellent drainage, above all else ... otherwise, good work, buddy

Thanx my friend... btw... I don't water enough to drain to the bottoms of the pots....and when it does, the bottoms get dumped so they are not sitting in excess water. Gotcha on the nutes... looks like I am gonna have to have 2 jugs of mixed nutes... one for the ultra haze, and one for the NCDG. I will post new pics in a bit.

FWIW, I am prolly gonna have to top the ultra haze....its much taller than the NCDG.... almost a 12 inch difference. I got plenty of my summer grow left so I am thinking that I may not even put this batch into flower until April. I want to see how big I can grow my babies....I dunno

At 6 weeks along, and having topped the Ultra haze, and am rooting the clone, everything is looking pretty good. Right now I am getting branches on branches on all 3 plants. In todays pic, on the right we have the Ultra Haze, and on the left, we have the NCDG. I am going to see just how big I can get these things to grow under lights. either way they are gonna be some serious bushes.:D

prolly not needed with the side lites as well as the top lights.... makes for bigger canope, and bigger canope is more efficient from shat Stinky has said in the past. I would really like to see the Ultra Haze get up to 4 1/2 ft tall bush like the last one did.

I hear ya Mississippi...Just to show ya I wouldn't suggest doin' something I wouldn't do myself...These two plants have been pruned/groomed...Lower branches have been cut off and lower internodes on lower branches have been removed...This improves air circulation and gives more energy to the top...Best to do your pruning B4 you start flowering as this will reduce stress that can lead to the "H" word...

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING MISSISSIPPI STEVE!!!

I have nothing but respect for image reaper...I know of his rep as a master breeder and grower...However,being limited to a small grow space and being a "COMPASSIONATE CULTIVATOR",I have to get the max amount of bud out of the 2 plants I cultivate in every grow I do...This is one case where I have to disagree with image reaper...Pruning is a heavily debated grow question...

Did I mention that I got branches growing out of branches?? with full side lighting as well as top lighting, the canope is very dense on top and on the sides. I figure with a little patience and the right grow regime, I might could double or triple the amount of bud on a single plant. The last batch of plants filled a full case of cure jars full of nothing but clean, cured bud with no stems and almost no leaves at all.

BTW... last night I tried to do 3 hits of the ultra haze... only made it to 2 before I couldn't reach the waterpipe anymore because it was too far away.
