Yellow / brown spots on leafs newbie help
Hello i have yellow/ brown spots on my leaf, i cut the lower leafs off as they where bad and drying out. I have been given it tap water which is ph6.2-8 and today for first time since planting i gave them some nutrients and ph was ph5.4-5.6 humidity 66% 25 degrees Celsius. they are under a 125watt cfl
The lights have been on 24 hours
I have now turned the light to 18-6
They are 2 G-13's, 1 Blue Cheese and 1 Violator Kush
You can look at the pics below
Please let me know what you think the problem is?
Cheers

Actually the plant seem healthy... But I've notice the Ph 6.2-8 does this mean between the two ? ph of 8 is really too high... If you mean 6.2 to 6.8 even there it is a little bit high.

Yeah, pH is off. It should be around 6.7, check the RUNOFF for that number. Your soil looks kinda heavy too- what kind is it?

IF you water heavily, some comes out the holes. Check the pH of that. How are you checking it? Meter, probe, drops, or strips?

With any pH meter you should have a way to check accuracy, like a cheap bottle of liquid indicator drops, so that you at least have an idea it is working right.
Your plaNT doesn't actually look all that bad! Just liek you need some more light, and to let the soil dry out more between waterings, and next time you re-pot, use a decent potting soil with some extra perlite in it. Just a plain soil that is peat + lime + perlite is a classic mix. Don't put it in too big a pot, because you WANT to re-pot every 4-6 weeks for your roots to be happy.

Be sure to calibrate you're ph meter, be sure to follow the indication on the fetilizers bottles... The soil still look like really wet wait before you water the plants. I don't know what else to say.

Curling may be heat stress, what is the distance of the plant and the CFL light, check the temps near the plant to be sure it's not too hot... Did you feed the plant any nutes ?
-
Yellow / brown spots on leafs newbie help
Wouldnt heat stress affect the upper leafs then work down not the other way round? i just gave them their first nutes 3/4 days ago.

It's simple just put your PH meter in the calibration 7.0 stir it and leave it for a minute or two if your meter shows 7.0 its ok the same with the 4 if it shows4.0 thats fine.
there should be two small screws somewhere on the meter with 7 and 4 next to them, they are used to ajust your calibration if it needs ajustment.
Meter in fluid 7 ajust to 7.
Meter in fluid 4 ajust to 4.
Meters are very sensitive so be carefull when ajusting the screw, be gentle.
I check my meter for accuracy once a month.
You can buy probe cleaning fluid to clean the probe on your meter.
One more thing don't cross contaminate any of the fluids.
Hope this helps.:)

What brand and model of meter is it? Instructions are all over the web. Mine has a 'cal' button you press, put it in the 7, then if it reads 7.0, hit 'confirm'. There are a few different calibration styles commonly seen on pH meters.
If your runoff is in the pH5 range, you should be watering in the pH 7 range!

Can you post a pic of the whole plant?
It's totally normal for low leaves that get no light to tun colors and fall.
Your plant is too big for that pot and you need to re-pot.
