Heres a start i will update soon. Just some pictures for you all to look at ;)
The pictures above are all from the same bag seed. I started germinating the seeds 3-4 days ago, and just got the lights out.
I am using 4 foot Grow-Lux bulbs.
Light Output: 1700 Lumens x 1
hahaitsdoogle, it looks like you have some nice beans growin' there. What's the cotton for? I'm guessing it's for light reflection purposes? Are you having any problems with it wicking moisture out of the soil or retaining moisture around the stems? I've never seen cotton used like that.
I'm looking forward to your updates, and wish you the best with your grow. Growing is quite addictive and is loads of fun! I know you will have a blast.
Well thank you JakezKing, I hope you look forward to seeing more pictures and a few more updates. The cotton was used to refract light and also for filtration purposes with teh water, well water has some rust and believe it or not the cotton filters that out. No Nutes, Nothing but Soil and Light. The guy living behind me has a huge compost pile for the last 10 years so i took a shovel dug into the middle and grabbed some soil, transpl. a few plants that i had in straight soil into the Compost/Soil/Vermiculite mixture, just for a side by side comparision, and i did the same with a few seeds i germed.Quote:

Also i have been working and hunting and forgot to water!! Im not exactly sure why the rest of the plants are " curling " or yellowing but im sure they will tuff thru it. The light you see inthe back is a SunLamp from the sixities not sure what type of light it is, assuming a mercury vapor lamp, and it produces 450W, with a lot of HEAT. I do not use it where it is sitting, way too close to the plants, the Light emits a VERY BLUE, VERY BLUE light. The Floros i have are 40W - One is a grow-lux one is a standard floro, Today i just added another set of two four foot floros.
Well here are a few more pictures, I have taken a few of the plants that you see, and removed them and the roots. I am looking to transplant a bunch of the ladies into different homes, bigger homes that is. I put a picture into their to show you the SunLamp, as i noticed there wasnt actually one in the last post. I hope that these ladies live and im looking forward to your advice!
Oooh it looks liike their flooding with Trichs already!!! haha!! Thanks for lookin and i cant wait for you too see their progress.
i forgot to add that all of them we not started on the same day, hopefully you could tell but i was just making sure :)
I think you should be putting that light closer to your plants, they seem to be stretching very tall
lol yes when i put them into the soil i was gone for two days, i accidentally left them on the far side of the light, where the taller plants should have been.. woops! yes, they should do fine still though... ill update in about 10 mins with the transplants! I just did it, maybe sunday ill put pics up to show how well they survived, this is transplant one of two/three for the plants, im pretty sure im doing it right. Pics will follow in 5-10 mins from now.Quote:

Good luck with your babies man.
And do keep that light as absolutelly close as you can to all of them. You get 4 times as much light by getting to half the distance.
I'll keep checking in for the ride. :D

I'll give you an update on the transplants when i can tell if they are surviving...Quote:

Picture Time - Heres a few pictures of what they are looking like so far, one of my seedlings which is about a week younger than the rest of the plants is almost bigger than the rest, weird.
So in the next post ill show you the rest of the seedlings i transplanted into beer and chicken noodle cans, the ones that stretched out are actually doing very well.
Heres the rest of the seedlings -
First picture are of all the streched out plants that i transplanted -
The second picture is the amazing growth of a seedling - things only like 7 days old...
And the last two pictures are of the oldest ( one of the oldest ) plants, which is like a dwarf, im getting ready to toss it.
nice idea with the cotton, the plants look like they are coming along nicely
Im not too sure if the cotton was a good thing or not... I am now going to start recording growth as i feel it to be quite amazing how fast these little buggers grow. I will post with an update on growth with new pictures and new set up.Quote:

Anyone else seen the cotton used like i did? What are your thoughts .. If your reading this forum, why not post? I like to hear from you, tell me what you think.
Now i need someone to yell at me for not having a fan in there consistently and maybe ill take a damn hint. LOL
Felt like a few of the plants were getting to big for their puny little pots so i did something about it, may have hurt one out of the 5-6 but hell its a good ratio never done the transplants this many times before but they seem to be liking the new soil every week
More Pictures - Explain below
First picture is what i cant handle at the moment, too many to deal with running out of ideas lol, maybe flower them in a week :P haha
The second picture is of the fert i have, i have more just the ones i used today, im not sure if it is bad, but i just had an idea, i put very minute amounts of the high nitro lawn fert into a spray bottle, im talking a few drops .. and some of the bloom, small .. like wet my finger and stick it into the fert and then into the spray bottle. As i made the soil ( Which i took from a compost pile in my back yard, after straining it thru a wastebasket with holes in it, i tossed the soil with some vermiculute, one bath with perlite and one without and then sprayed the soil a few times with my spray bottle filled with nutes. Dont know if that was bad during the transplant but hey.. this is all about experimentation for me.
I have a few questions -
Which do you see primarly in these plants, if possible ( Sativa \ Indica )
Anyone know a really good thread informing on how to take clones, and if it is beneficial to take clones rather than start from Seed.
When should i wonder about sex? When can i tell?
Are my plants looking healthy for 2 - 3 transplants already, is two or three transplants too many for 2-3 weeks?
Have a great night :P
