Clinton Fundraiser Endorses McCain in 'Personal' Decision
ABC News' Hope Ditto Reports: Top Hillary Clinton fundraiser and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee Lynn Forester de Rothschild endorsed Republican presidential nominee John McCain on Wednesday.
Speaking to members of the media at the Capitol Hill Club, Rothschild denied that Clinton had any influence over her endorsement decision, stating that the two have not spoken since before the Democratic National Convention in August. Rothschild said her endorsement decision was a personal one and one that came after consideration of the vice presidential picks and convention performances.
"I really think that they [McCain and Palin] will bring the bold, bipartisan, centrist change we need in Washington," said Rothschild.
Rothschild went on to cite specifically McCain's record in the Senate as a primary influence in her decision. She said in such an important election, where economic and foreign policy issues are on the forefront, she considers McCain the best choice.
"John McCain will look for the best solutions to America's problems. He is not an ideologue and he is not beholden to special interests."
Rothschild said she hopes her decision to publicly endorse McCain will give like-minded Democrats the confidence to follow suit.

Donald Trump Endorses McCain
Businessman Donald Trump has endorsed John McCain for president ?? and says his opponent, Barack Obama, should have chosen Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
??I know John McCain, and John McCain's a great guy, a tremendous guy,? Trump said on CNN??s ??Larry King Live? Wednesday night.
??I've known him for a long time. And I'm with him, and I'm with him based on the fact that I have great knowledge of John McCain. Also, this is not the right time for tax increases. And Obama wants to increase your taxes drastically.?
Trump made a donation to Clinton's campaign during the primaries, and also contributed to McCain??s effort in May, Politico reports.
??I don't understand why Hillary wasn't chosen,? Trump told King. ??She was really winning. I have a friend that came to this country and was here for the last four weeks of that whole election. He said: ??How did she lose? She won every primary??? He didn't understand it.

Rothschild and Trump... names that reflect true, down home, traditional America
I could almost hear Trumps voice:
"John's a great guy... I know him and he's great. He'd be a great President, because he's great and I know him. The whole time I've known him, it's been great... because I know... he's a great guy." (dizzzzzzzy :stoned:)
I realize that Lynn Forester is American, so she can technically use the term "we," but WE??
I definitely need some clarification as to how this is good for the McCain/Palin image. Unless the point is to attract people with disgusting amounts of money.
Some financial class is probably going to be impacted by tax changes by either candidate... so how is the best candidate for the Trump's and the Rothschild's the best candidate for me? -that's an honest question
This is where Lynn Forester lives in England (well at least what fit in the frame) :stoned:

Lol yes, two people give their support to McCain, compared to how many clusters (perhaps dozens?) have shifted their support from McCain to Obama, including numerous registered Republicans?
And of COURSE Trump supports McCain. If he doesn't, he might actually LOSE some of his precious billions if Obama wins. We can't be having rich folk becoming less rich. It's un-American.
Also I'm still very confused where everyone is getting "Obama wants to raise your taxes." No. He wants to raise YOUR taxes, Donald Trump. Us little folk get the nice end of the stick this time and get a 1K tax break. I really hope this election doesn't just get bought by the rich and the scum of Washington that is lobbyists. Oh, wait, McCain's campaign is made almost entirely of lobbyists and special interest groups who want to destroy America. Nevermind.

But then, it doesn't ACTUALLY matter what WE want, only what the electoral college wants. The only word that can apply to that is robbery. Or bullshit.

I watched an interview with this Rothschild person in which she was describing Obama as an "elitist!" Ha ha! She is a BILLIONAIRE married to another BILLIONAIRE, and she was calling Obama an elitist! Do these people not even know what irony is? Rothschild is a name that almost anyone on the planet can recongnize as one of the wealthiest in the world --- it virtually means "elite!" I guess money can't buy a sense of irony.
The interviewer was trying to get at exactly what she meant and saying things like, You are a bilionaire, you own a jet, you fly back and forth between Eorope and America all the time, you own homes in both Europe and America, what is it about Obama that you think is elitist? She had no answer at all. She just basically said it seems like he is an elitist.
Then the interviewer asked about policies. She pointed out that Rothschild supported Clinton, Clinton's and Obama's policies are virtually identical, Clinton's and McCain's policies are very different. So what did she like about McCain's policies that she did not like about Obama's? Again there was no answer that made any sense. She dodged around the policy question and said she wasn't there to talk about Clinton, and the inerviewer said something like, You know the only reason you are on this show is because you were a Hillary supporter, and now you shifted to McCain, so we have to talk about Hillary.
In the end you had no idea what this person was about. She wouldn't talk about policy, and the elitist thing made no sense. She seemed like a billionaire ding-dong to me.

Watched an interview myself this morning with her. She described it as such: McCain come from an well to do background but when asked in Nam if he'd leave he chose to stay...didn't use his "status" as a tool of privilage. On the other hand, she felt that Obama does just the opposite. Guess we watched different interviews.
Either way, nice to see someone from the left that has NEVER voted Republican and served as a "fundraiser and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee" come to the dark side.:vader1:
OOPS, can't forget a big  for the Don. :D

Don't ya find it a bit ironic though that the same party that bitched so hard about that did it to themselves? I'm sure Clinton will have the last laugh come November.

HAHAHAHA now I know why I remembered her name. If this woman actually had anything beneficial to say she would have said it. I say if you make a billion dollars, you should have no say in politics, because all you want is to keep your money. Fuckin scrooges, I tell you man.....

The "superdelegates" screwed her over but I do agree with ya on the point that it's for the best that she didn't win.

Lol oh cmon man please dont start on the sexism thing. It seems like only the Republicans complain that its an issue, I dont even think Hillary said anything about it because she wants a level playing field.
However I lol'd at the name part. hahaha.

Now don't blame that one on the Republicans. It was a major issue with the lady Clinton supporters way before Palin was even a subject. Even with the press; remember in the debates when Clinton asked if Obama needed a pillow? There was even the race card brought up between the two. He had a young new face and knows how to wow a crowd with a speech. Being able to attract over 90% of the vote from a certain demographic helped too.
Saying that, don't get me wrong, if Colin Powell were to run under ANY ticket I'd say he'd have a 99% chance of getting my vote. VERY intelligent individual with experience in foriegn affairs second to none. Really to bad that he doesn't run....kind of makes ya wonder why?
The President controls our forces and holds his/her magic finger on the trigger. Obama is young but so was Kennedy. The difference? Kennedy did his time in the service and knew what the hell. Point proven with the Cuban missile crisis. Obama, no military service, training, or time enough in Senate to have a clue about national defense issues. NOT a big fan of McCain but he seems to be the only logical one to vote for between the two.

The man who testified on national television, and lied to the American people about intelligence, regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq? He was advised by the head of the CIA that his information was incorrect, and he sat there and LIED to YOU and Me and EVERYBODY else. Another Bush Pawn.
A real shame because the man had a distinguished career. Has done a lot for this country, including but not limited to, lying to its people
