MTV and Russell (Tosser) Brand
Well how many of you watched the MTV awards and had the pleasure of seeing Russell Brand who is being paraded as a famous well loved, and I use the term loosely comedian. In reality he is a total tosser who is about as funny as rubbing haemorrhoids with sand paper, I don't know a single person who finds him funny. What was that so called political speech he was spouting, I mean referring to "that retarded cowboy, President Bush" ??. His knowledge about American politics or any subject other than drug abuse is about as much as I know about particle physics.
Still, at least he is going to be trying to make it big in America and we won't see as much of him over here I am sure you will all grow to love him.
Cheers

I can't stand MTV, and the VMA awards embody every damn thing that makes it so unbearable to every sense. also, the retarded cowboy joke: wow real original. bush is such an easy target that if you're gonna joke about him, at least don't be so heavy handed about it.

I saw that dude...without the accent and the hair/outfit he's really not that funny.

I first saw him in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," loved his role thought it was hilarious, and thought I might see how he did on the VMA's. I was torn between his stand-up though.
Some of it was funny as toungue in cheek as it came across (to me anyways). Then at times he got carried away and made either a longer joke or just a blatant insult to someone unrelated.
Haha those poor Jonas brothers. It wasn't that bad but as he was giving his little rant I knew it would make headlines the next day. People need to not take everything so seriouslah. ;)

The McCain campaign should send him a 'thank you' card for endorsing Obama.

I rather liked that he tried to shake things up a bit. I am not a fan of Mtv and the VMAs, or Russel Brand for that matter, but I think his opinion on the ridiculousness of chastity rings and Bush was spot on. America can sometimes take itself too seriously. However, that is not as easily accepted when being pointed out by a non-american. I reckon he burned a few bridges there.

Whenever someone tries to tell people to vote liberal it backfires horribly. I think he's funny, i wouldn't of apologized over those promise rings either, allow that. People should stop defending Bush, he gets the piss taken out of him by everyone in the world for good reasons, don't like it? Too bad really, you either voted for him or are stuck with him. I doubt he'll 'make it in america' whenever people try to do this intentionally it backfires also.

Personally, I think he's not so bad...
His' autobiography is actually very good I thought. He's quite an intelligent person. But I do agree that he is a bit 'full on' sometimes and his' stand up is nothing special at all.

Russel Brand reminds me of one of those people you meet at a party that tries to say something funny every second and get on everyones good side, but really you just see a loud, jarring, desperate, embarassing twat. He's about as subtle in his comedy as your average drunk dick on a night out.
He's made front page news this last couple of weeks in the UK for leaving asshole phone messages on a real comedian's answer machine (Fawlty Towers veteran Andrew Sachs), only the issue has been so blown out of proportion you'd almost think there wasn't mass homicide, pillaging and rape happening in the Congo.
Good old bandwagon jumpin' British public.
