BUD ROT?? stinkyattic help!
What do you all know about bud rot? I'm afraid to say.. my girl might have it :(
The tiny leaves at the tips of some of the buds were burnt- when I pulled the burnt lil leaves off the bud above it came off too.. Im fuckin trippin... and the bud was crispy dry when it fell off.. It's beenreally hot here- high 90's, low 100's & dry..(not humid). Could they be burning? I think I notice the damage in the middle on some too though.. so shit- I dont know...
heres some pics...

Ive never dealt with bud rot before but Botrytis is one of the most commen "bud rot" and if the stems arnt turning white with black dots/patchy areas then its not that. To me, it looks like you underwatered it and it needs more water from the heat, Cannabis grows in 68-88 F weather. your temps are too hot, so you really should spoil it with water. Good luck, hose her down and pray for a turn around, most likely will impede the growth of more bud.
p.s.
Your plant is showing signs of dehydration. Let the flood out. then soak her with a gallon of ph correct water and Nutes... (im an indoor guy, but a gallon of water seems logical)

thanks anbesol- I pray you're right.. but I don't know.. it's not lookin good. I'll know more tomorrow-when I can see it in the light again.. Then I'll post again & tell/show you what I see..
Im really bummed.. I'm so close... :(

See what happens, you will know in 72 hours if the water helped. i would say if nothing changes in 10-12 days, you might want to early harvest, if its worth it. if this doesnt work out, you could always switch to indoor with a grow tent! ;) my cup of tea..."Control" lol

in my opinion what i think you should do is to see if the water didnt help then take some scissors and cut off where you think it is rotting, that way you can save whatever didnt start rotting yet otherwise if it is bud rot, it spreads throughout the plant quickly

I think it's damage caused by the larvae of some kind of moth, or some other pest....it's not mold...yet...but as soon as some rain falls, or it get's wet, it's gonna start to rot...you can try to remove the dead, brown parts, or take off the whole bud if there is no other way...
But of course it's not 100%....you should wait for Stinky....
btw....the plant looks really good.....nice work Sky....

There was no evidence of dehydration.
That is rot, and may originally have started from physical damage, but now you need to cut out the part that is brown and carefully check for signs of white fibrous looking gunk in the buds, or powdery grey- remove any parts that have those, and if there are weeds blocking the breezes that should dry the dew from your plants each morning, tie or cut them back.

Oh No....Hope you caught that in time. And now i know what the white fiberous stuff was on the plant i harvested last weekend. Just like Ms. Attic discribed. I am gonna be checking my older plants real careful now.
Good Luck with Your Girl. I hope everything works out for her. I understand how upset you are. I am so so sorry.

SG- you think this is caused by the caterpillars? I have now seen 2. :(

Yea anbesol- I need more 'control'. I'd love to do indoor, but the initial expense holds me back from starting...

that doesnt look like a catepillar, it looks like an army worm, very destructive to clothes and i think plants, my grandmother told me along time ago about them when i was kid, and she said it ate alot of the tomatos, leaves, and stems, + clothes on the line, i kill them whenever i see them as a precaution, maybe an insectologist can help you

Yeah cause you should be able to see what they're eating. If you catch em before the bud starts to rot. I only found a couple small ones on one of my plants so far, I don't really want to spray them with neem oil, being a month or so away from harvest.

Manually remove any chewing pests you find, AND THEIR SCAT, from the leaves and buds.
The damage, and the poop, both encourage pathogens to attack the plant at the damage site.

wow- ok, I just came from my cannabis club- I described my symptoms- and he asked if I saw any caterpillars type things!?! and of course I have.. He said thats what he thinks it is.. He said they show up a couple of weeks b4 harvest (what a coincifuckindence). Now I'm leaning towards she's being eaten by things worm things.. as soon as the painter leaves- Im going outside for a deep inspection... I dont know which is worse- worms or rot? :(

rot is worse you can kill those off. But its cutting it close to harvest to be spraying anything on them. Pick them outa there as much as you can. But like stinky said look around for them and pick em out and also clean there crap they leave behind.

I went through the bag of nugs I cut off... sure efuckingnough there are tiny wormy/caterpillar things all up inside them.. I have removed anything w/any signs.. but now what? Just watch & remove if I see anything? Is there any organic treatment I can use?
Also, is there a way to prevent this next time?
"Bummed" doesnt even sorta describe this feeling. :(

Hi,
I have had them in my tomatos and roses but so far have kept them out of my grow. Neem oil works well on them but you don't want to use it too close to harvest. You might look at those safe soap insecticides sprays that you are suppose to be able to use on fruist and vegitables up until day of harvest. Rot is so much worse then insects IMHO. Good luck.

Heres a pic of a pretty big one I just found on another juicy tip I had to cut off... He is right in the center of the pic- cant miss him- thats the culprit! They are so DISGUSTING- they leave poop.. I dont even bother trying to pick anything off.. any signs at all & Im cutting the whole bud off... The thought of smoking worm poop doesnt appeal to me.. call me crazy. :)
BUD ROT?? stinkyattic help!
told you so! :D
Just remove the caterpillar and dead plant tissue.
