Sarah Palin pregnancy coverup rumor
Dirty Political Rumors: The downs syndrome baby Sarah Palin just had. There's rumors on the internet that she actually wasn't pregnant at all, and the child is her 16 year old daughters.
Evidence:
-She kept the pregnancy a secret until the 7th month and no one noticed.
-She flew with her water broken 8 hours to go to a podunk hospital without the technology to handle potential complications, even though she was in a metropolitan area(seattle) with state of the art facilities
-She never appeared to get very big.
-The daughter was out of school for months with "mono".
-The doctor who delivered the baby was named by Palin to the Alaska Health Care Strategies Planning Council.
Against:
-The baby has downs syndrome and that is much more common for ladies giving birth in their forties than in their teens.
-It would be fucking crazy.
DISCLAIMER
I neither endorse or refute this, as it's speculation
what are your thoughts?

I can totally see an ultra conservative prolife fanatic FREAKING OUT at the thought of the media circus that would surround her unwed, 16 year old daughter having a baby. Also the egg that would be on her face from pushing policies (abstinence only education in particular) that don't even work for her own daughter.

Hoopla.
One of the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Almost as bad when that guy came out saying he fucked Obama. It's all just crazy bullshit stories/urban legend/snopes kind of shit that people do to destroy another persons campaign and the crazier thing is that people read and re-post this stuff thinking it's true. Aiding and embedding crazy ass political drama.

I don't think it's all that ridiculous if you look at the facts. (which I wanted to edit but can't now, she was in Dallas, not Seattle)
Even if it's not true, it proves to me she's an idiot. Why would she endanger her fetus in such a callous manner? The complications that can occur during downs syndrome birth are very serious, so you leave somewhere with extremely good doctors and modern equipment to give birth in a tiny hospital without the equipment to help the fetus if problems occur? Plus you FLY 8 hours with your WATER BROKEN? Something doesn't add up.

I am guessing: There has to either be a lot more to this or it is not true at all! PR:jointsmile:
Someone 40 yr's old is more likely to have a Down Syndrome baby than a teen-ager. From a medical standpoint!
If I knew I were 44 and having a DS baby, I doubt flying would make it any worse. My thinking is: Due to her religious beliefs, if she were in Dallas or Cuba, would make no difference, it will still be DS and my hope would have been to work myself to death and have a stillborn at the least! The only thing she endangered was her life and she could have been dumped at any hospital to get that taken care of.
We'll have to see if any of this is true. I will speculate and say, half truths'!! PR :rastasmoke:
If I had choosen a DS child, I would also choose to be with it daily! It is not a choice but a responsibility now, for her (then us, if she is elected).
People actually adopt DS children and enjoy the hell out of them! Usually, they have one parent home, and I am assuming her husband will be Mr. Mom?? PR

I don't think THIS proved to you that she's an idiot. You already thought that before. It seems like people of the opposite parties are looking for any way possible to start a rumor or destroy someones character. It's a dirty tactic that is as old as time itself.
Those "facts" equal up to coicncidences and are often analyzed under a microscope so that various details can be made to look like heinous crimes.
Hoopla.
And even if this would be true I STILL think she's better than Obama and Biden combined.

I seriously doubt it McCain's people probably have heard those same rumors and would never had gone with her if it were.

I have to imagine if this were true it would be fairly easy to find out, especially for 'connected' people. I am also fairly certain there are some serious background checks done on potential running mates by presidential candidates. I would think they would have found this out early on in those checks.
-

This has been in the rumor mill for months, actually. McCain had to know about it.

Exactly! And if he even thought for a second that it was true at all he would have NOT picked her.

I mean hey, there are plenty of other Republican Women in political positions to pick from.

So based on rumors that you YOURSELF cannot confirm as being true you determine that she's an idiot? Again, rumors you cannot confirm as being true and you judge someone as being an idiot?
Next time you take gossip and convince yourself it's true. Look in the mirror before you call someone an idiot. You don't know the circumstances surrounding the situation.
To suggest someone would lie about having a handicap child? For what to win votes? To save her own ass? There's not a person in the world wouldn't want their child to be normal, including myself who has a very handicap brother.
I went on my own to look for good sources of information, here's what a few google searches turned up:
palin plane when pregnant - Google Search
palin flew when pregnant - Google Search
As you can see it turns up no credible links. The most credible are from drudge report and free republic; which are still pretty crappy sources as they are user posts still.
Here is the link from freerepublic with pictures dating back to feburary of this year. In it you will see pictures of Palin... PREGNANT.

LMAO!! Is this the best that the DNC can come up with to try to discredit her? Rev. Wright, William Ayers are fact....this is comparable to the gay sex that Obama had.
As for the debates, LOL, let Biden pounce on this "woman" and we'll see what sort of reaction the women voters have. Likewise, I'm sure that women from both sides of the aisle will NOT be impressed with this. If you think that they were pissed about the way Clinton was handled in the primary let this crap reach the main stream media.

A baby with downs is recognized months before she's even pregnant. I doubt flying on a private plane would endanger her fetus, given she's a governor, who gets special treatment with doctors accompanying her. It's also highly unlikely a 16 year old would give birth on a kid with down symdrome.

P4B, In any thread about anything that differs from your own personal views, you always like to say things like, LMAO or LOL, as if to everyone reading, this is a laughing matter. In my own experience, everyone that I've known to laugh at a point in an argument is doing so as a way of discrediting said argument, and making it seem like it doesn't matter at all. Now, while i don't mean any personal insult, this always strikes me as a very close minded, stubborn way of debating a point (which basically makes debating the point a futile matter). As if the republican party can do no wrong, and the democratic party can do no right. Also, don't get me wrong, both sides do the same thing. There's plenty of democrats that think the democratic party can do no wrong and so on and so forth. So I don't want to insult either side, and this is pretty much the reason I try to avoid political issues.
Also, since i don't regularly post in Politics, I'll just get it out there, that I think Mccain made a bad decision in choosing Palin because she has relatively little experience, in leading a state with a rather small population, and she is being put into a position where she could have to become president of the United States if Mccain were to die. It also makes me think that Mccain is being quite a hypocrite by choosing using the argument against Obama, that he doesn't have much experience, and then choosing a VP who has less experience.
I guess I got a little off subject there, about this issue, I of course have no way of knowing whether it's true or not, but it sounds like a reckless decision to fly for eight hours after her water broke, and if it's like painretreat said, that she wanted the baby to die, well that's just plain wrong, especially for someone who is against abortion. If she agrees with Mccain that life begins at conception, she would be attempting to murder her own baby (not that any of this is fact, it's just hypothetical).
I'm looking forward to hearing your response to this, and once again, I mean no offense towards you or anyone, I'm just putting my own views out there.

Well honestly look at the post. It's laughable. Look at the links that come up in a google search.. it's laughable and farfetched. How do you expect not to laugh at some of the posts?
It's hard to discredit something that currently has no evidence or credibility.

"I don't mean this as an insult, but here.. let me slap you in the face". You realize that is essentially what you did? Which I found that to be funny as well.. lol. Hrm, is Palin running for president of the United States? I don't think so.. Is Obama running for President of the United States.. Yes he is. Experience is much more relevant for the office of president than it is for vice president. Historically the office of Vice President has not been a position of heavy burden/responsibility.
It's great that you got it out there but I feel you're comparing apples to oranges. Palin doesn't live in the delusion that her little amount of time in office/politics is enough to qualify her as president. Obama on the other hand thinks he's a godsend even though he has no history to prove this.

If she wanted the baby to die I'm sure she could've found a lot more competent and discreet ways to do it. You acknowledge that there's no evidence to support that this is true. It's pointless to think about it since there is nothing to prove that this is the case and it's absolutely disgusting to sit there and brood and ponder over.
My mother was stuck in a stationwagon in 110 degree heat in traffic that was seemingly a parking lot. Was my mother trying to kill my brother? Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? It was just the situation she was in, there are many things expecting mothers get crazy about. Maybe Palin was crazy about a very particular family doctor and only wanted him to deliver the baby.
If you've ever known a pregnant woman who get's her regular checkups then you'd also know that many women form a bond/attachment with their doctor that makes them feel safe.
Either way no one will probably know and it's ridiculous to speculate about.

This is just another distraction being thrown out there from what's really important.. and that is the actual politics of the people that are up for nomination.

No, I simply didn't care. You took the time to post something that is trash talk; the equivelant of what you would see on Maury Povich or some other sleezy talk show.
Sorry, this isn't the gossip forum. I've jumped on others for posting crap that doesn't matter about Obama and McCain without evidence. Don't feel as though I've isolated you; you simply got caught up in the windfury that is my quest to cut through BS.
Having an opinion on a political issue is something everyone is entitled to. Gossiping over the birth of their child who has down syndrome is just ridiculous.
If you don't believe this to be the truth then why bother posting it? Especially with no new source links or any thing to give credibility to your post.
What if I started a thread with a topic that said Obama HIV/Aids Rumor and then listed the following with no sources for the information:
Quote:
Evidence:
* Man said he had gay sex with Obama
* Obama is very thin and frail looking
* Obama is very well dressed and articulate, sometimes over enunciating the letter S
* Obama was seen going into a back room with 2 other gentlemen where muffled noises could be heard
Against:
*Obama is married
*This would just be crazy!!
Can you grasp at all, the ridiculousness of your post now?

at least she has some experience as the sole head of a government. the rest of these fools have been hiding within the mass of senators, their actions masked by the antics of rest of their peers. as a governor she had a more final say, with no one else to blame and no way to hide her blunders in the crowd.
i'm not quite sure where you see the hypocrisy in mccain's choice. it isn't as if he were placing here directly in the oval office. i'm fairly certain he has no intention of dying in the next four years and, even if he does, there have been worse candidates for the chair. can you imagine cheney or dan quayle as commander in chief? does anyone even remember who woodrow wilson's vp was during ww2?
hell, it might even be a fortuitous turn of events that would place her in the presidency. she might be an even better candidate than the two losers we have running now, an inexperienced senator out of one of the most corrupt political machines in america and an aging political animal whose greatest claim to fame seems to be his denial of most everything his party stands for.

I merely found this floating around the net and went huh, thats a new one...

Well, your right, this is kind of a ridiculous point, but I've noticed that P4B does do that a lot, (sometimes on issues that I don't find funny at all) and it's also something that a lot of people that I know like to do. I just finally got around to saying something about it.
While this might not be credible information to begin with, it's still a way of blowing off a point, and it doesn't seem to me like a good way to debate.

This is almost exactly what I said, both parties are sometimes very stubborn, and they like to attack each other, whether it be for meaningful or pointless things. That's why I don't really like politics.

Well, Palin is not technically running for president, but in a way she is. One duty of the vice president is to take over the presidency is the president is incapacitated or deceased, which is not at all impossible, and honestly, a woman who has served two years as mayor of a city with 16,000 people and two years as governor of Alaska isn't someone who I think is experienced enough to have that large of a chance of becoming president.

I guess what I meant by that is kind of unclear in the way I said it. I should have quoted what painretreat said. I was just responding to his idea that maybe she did want the baby to die, which I don't really believe, and I shouldn't have given it so much thought.

You're right, it is hard to speculate on point with no factual evidence.
I'm glad you weren't offended by anything I said. I'm trying to keep any hint of hostility out of my post, because that's everything I hate about politics.
I also agree with you that people like to blow a lot of issue out of proportions, but this issue (if it is true) would be something of importance, unlike things I see or hear about people bashing Obama because of his name (just an example), which is basically prejudice and ignorance on their part.
I don't want to get into any arguments, just a polite, adult debate. Politics is all about compromise, that's the idea that our founding fathers used when the wrote the constitution. It's also an idea that has faded out of existence since then. Nowadays, it's not so much about trying to make everyone happy as it is trying to make the majority want to vote for you, for any reason, whether that be one of substance or not.
Also, once again, I would like to reinforce that no one should take any offense to what I say, it doesn't matter at all in the long run.

There you have it.
Honestly I can't blame her if she did want to keep her daughters pregnancy a secret. No one wants their daughter to live with that kind of social stigma, but I'm glad there's been an end put to this whole Palin's baby is really her daughters nonsense.

Your assuming that I'm a republican. I "LMAO" at both sides of the aisle when they come up with this sort of bullshit. Did you see me post up about Obama's gay love affair? NO, it's just as laughable as this and seriously speaking, neither one of the candidates would ever dare to make a statement based on either pile of bullshit and I to hate to waste my time on it. By the way, I've been voting since "80" and my vote has gone to the republicans, democrats AND independents with Ross Perot. I was seriously HOPING that this election would be different but it's the same as always....what's the better of the evils presented.
As for the population of the state, I don't think that makes as much of an issue as their GDP. IF Alaska were to break away from the union it would be a VERY rich country......maybe even comparable to some in the middle east. Based soley on population, some could say that the smaller rich countries of the middle east have unexperienced leaders. Also, since Alaska is unique due to it's borders with Canada and Russia....I'm sure a bit of foriegn relations activities must go on accordingly.
She's a governor and therefore has executive experience, more than can be said about any of the other candidates to be honest. The only difference is that McCain and Biden know more about the internal workings of Washington and Obama has knowledge of Chicago politics. Who is least fitted for the number 1 or 2 spot based on "experience"?

Have a good one!:s4:
Well, I do assume that you're a republican, at least lately, and I really only pointed out the whole laughing thing because a bunch of people I know lately like to laugh me off when I try to make a serious point to them. It's just something that gets on my nerves.

I have no opinion on this "story"... but I will add that I personally know of 2 different families that have done the old "mom is actually grandma and sister is actually mom" switcheroo. When religion comes into play... people will do some fucked up shit. So, I do understand the plausibility... and possibly the importance IF such a story were in fact... well... FACT. But anywayy...
The only thing that stuck out to me was this:

I'm sure that John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Andrew Johnson, Chester Arthur, Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and Gerald Ford would disagree. Most of which either chose not to seek another term or were simply not elected again. Sounds like more consideration should go into choosing VP's afterall. :stoned:
If you ask me, when we have 2 candidates that the public feel are appropriate to run for office AGAINST each other... just vote and whoever wins will be President... and 2nd place gets VP. Haha sounds idealisitic, I know. If WE all have to work side by side with people we don't like or agree with... why shouldn't the White House? Both parties would be represented in the Oval office and they can hash out their differences man to man/woman to woman. Parties make no sense anyway. Just another way to divide and conquer the masses. Anyone ever read The Art of War by Sun Tzu? Textbook war tactic.
Maybe if these opposing party candidates spent some good quality time together... while they will disagree on things... potentially they will find common ground. Hopefully then we can stop caring about what they had for dinner last night or what stickers they do or don't wear... and move on to how we are going to save this world from utter destruction and chaos.

Its not a big deal. Girls get pregnant at this age all the time. Its nice to see once in a while that the rich spoiled kids have the same problems us poor folks do. I do hate to see the added pressure this kind of family puts on the girl though to get married.

Republicans are traditionally anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, and anti-medical marijuana. Things that I'll NEVER agree with. At this point I feel that they hold to my beliefs in foreign affairs, drilling, and taxes to name a few of my "most important" issues.
I by NO MEANS was laughing at katyowns or any other member in here....my laugh was directed at the so called journalist that put out this trash. Now her daughter is pregnant and MSNBC is going after the fact. Seems damn funny to me that the most liberal news network is picking up on this issue....sounds like a pretty conservative frame of mind. If anything, she seems to have a normal U.S. family with the situation her daughter is now in. I'm sure that 90% of the members in here have family members that were or are in the same boat.
I guess when your in love with Obama anything goes. Hell, Bill Maher even stated that the crew at MSNBC sounds like they want to have sex with Obama. I'm not a fan of Bill but I found it to be an accurate statement.
Well, gotta go. Even at 46 ma still makes up chocolate chip cookies for me and well, that takes presidence over this debate. LOL:thumbsup:

You seem to misunderstand. Historically the role/position of VP has not been one of great responsibility or burden. Meaning the responsibilites of the office itself is not of critical importance (with the exception of taking over as president in the instance of death in the office), especially trying to use the argument of 'experience' when comparing a presidential Candidate, Barack Obama, to a vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. I was never saying that it wasn't important as a political tool in order to get into office. That is a completely different matter.
So in regards to experience.. Sarah Palin's lack of experience is not as critical as whom the democrats are trying to elect into the Presidential Office, Barack Obama.
People talk about what if McCain dies.. we'll have someone inexperienced in the office. Well guess what, Democrats are choosing to put someone who's not fit for office out there from the start.
I hate when people try to bring up her experience. The leftists are like "OH yeah.... well what about her?" as if to justify their poor choice for a candidate. It's frustratingly annoying because it is not the same thing. They are comparing apples to oranges making their argument weak and incorrect.
As the french would say, le sigh.

I'm right there with you. I think it is rediculous that someone would argue:
"Hey... you don't know what you're doing!"
"Yeah... well... neither do you gramps! And that other lady isn't really ready either!"
"Yeah... well... your logo is weird!"
"Yeah... well... your old!"
"You're name is scary!"
"Well... YOU'RE OLD!"
"You re-painted your plane!"
"You own a bunch of real estate!"
"You have cooties!"
:wtf:
Although, I feel that the only way to become "experienced," is to actually experience it... so, to me, it is somewhat pointless to argue one way or the other. NONE of the parties involved have ever been U.S. President. So we should just agree that they are all equally clueless. Not saying that they can't do well... just that they technically ALL have zero experience at being President. Past history in politics will obviously help out... but just because you have a history of being involved in competitive sports doesn't mean you are ready for the Big Game.
Basically... we've got two different sets of virgin hands that are supposed to clean up possibly the biggest pile of sloppy shit we have ever sniffed. It's going to take some pretty special people to eradicate this country of the stink we have currently. Unfortunately, I don't think that special person is running for office this year. ;)
Can somebody say Ron Paul?
Haha I can...
