Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Here is the problems I'm having. The plant was doing fine at first, except the top leaves were yellowing and drooping. I thought this was because of the lamps causing them to burn since the bottom new growth was getting very bushy and a nice green as in the pics.
I raised the lamps, but now I noticed the bottom leaves are starting to get yellow at the tips. Any advice or help would be great.
Here is my information:
It's Indoor, I've been keeping it in Veg now for about 3-4 months on a 24 hr light cycle to get it big for enough clones. and until I can get more lights and the room rewired.
I'm growing in a mix of 2 parts Scotts Peat Moss, 1 part Perlite, 1 part Vermiculite and 1 part Scotts Potting Soil
2 HPS 150w lights about a foot from the top of the plant
For nutrients, I have Plant Prod 20-20-20, 10-52-10, 15-30-15, and Miracle Grow 24-8-16 with micro nutes
I water every 2 days with about 250-300ml mixture of the 24-8-16 mixed at 1/2 strength.

I don't know the exact temperature. The area is in an unfinished basement with crushed stone for the floors and not much insulation, alomost like a huge crawl space or cellar, so it is pretty cool down there...there is a 2' x 5' area that I have wrapped in plastic though to help store the heat like a green house. It's been there for 3-4 months and I just noticed this a couple weeks ago on the top leaves when the bottom started to really grow and bush out.

Cool temps + acid soil (you cannot use peat moss without addition of lime) + too wet= dead.
You need to flsuh your plants well with tap water adjusted to correct the pH (2nd link in my siggy), and then let them get rather dry.
Next, re-pot your plants into fresh light potting soil in slightly larger pots with REALLY good drainage -EXTRA HOLES!!!- immediately, and continue to monitor the pH of your nute solution, which isn't really that great for cannabis. I'd recommend switching to a highly-organic one with humic acid, to help stabilize your pH. MY number one choice would be the Pure Blend Pro line, whcih is designed for cannabis and to be forgiving to a wide range of soils and soilless mixes.
You NEED to knwo your room temp, and keep it between ~72-85 day and no lower than 65 night. If you have to add a space heater, well... you have to add a space heater.

HI
How close is the light to the plants?

My Bad!!!! Just looked a pix, didn't read all you said. 2 150W @ 1 Ft.
Sore looks like you are cooking them, but, not likely after reading a bit.
Also after the flush, I would use water, every other feeding. The Miracle Grow
will build up salts real fast, especially every 2 days.
Good Luck
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Hi, I have also heard that miracle grow and pot plants don't mix well.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
I replanted the plant using ProMix potting soil. Also, the Ph of the tap water wasn't showing anything on the Ph test strips, so I added a couple drops of Optimum Hydroponix Ph+ which brought the water Ph to about 7.0, so hopefully this will bring her back to life and healthy again. Also, I'm using just water now without nutes until things get better.
Any other advice I can use?

What does your room exhaust look like? How is it configured?
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
I don't have an exhaust system set up yet since it's only one plant that I'm trying to get bigger for cloning. Also, I have to wait to get the room re-wired because any more lights will trip the breaker.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
what WHAAAAAT!
Well there's your problem... your plant can't use the nutes, water, or light because atmospheric CO2 is the limiting factor. They are suffocating, and that contributes to the curly leaves.
Very important concept in science, particularly as it applies to chemical reactions, which is what photosynthesis is. You run out of CO2, the reaction CEASES. This means your plant stops growing entirely.

What would be the easier way to add CO2 without an expensive CO2 generator? Basically the plant is in an unfinished space in the basement which is just the foundation for the whole house and there is an access hatch in my apartment. The only thing I have down there is the plant, 2 150w HPS lights and an oscillating fan blowing on the plant.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Easier? Add a proper exhaust exchanging stale growroom air with CO2-rich air from inside your apartment.
Is the pot right on the floor? basement floors are cold. As stated earlier... cold roots, unhappy plants.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
The plant isn't right on the ground, it's about 6 inches off the ground. Also, because of where it is, it's all concrete so there's no easy way to install an exhaust system.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Then you have to choose:
-Install an exhaust system at great hassle to yourself and your foundation
-Find a new grow location
Climate control is NOT optional. You have it and grow a garden, or you don't and your plants die a slow and painful death... They're your plants...
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Don't you have a dryer in you're basement ? If yes you can always use this hole as an exhaust for you're ventillation system.

Miracle Grow is not the best, but not the worst, either. (at least for vegging)
If you get the growing conditions under control, you'll also nee to work on learning the nutrient end of growing cannabis...
I'd ease-up on the 1/2 strength Miracle Grow 24-8-16. That's way too much for an every other day feeding schedule. You may only be applying 250 ml, but all of those nutes sit in the top couple of inches of the pot, 'burning' the surface roots.
I used MG for years. 1/4 strength twice a week, and that's still a bit 'hot'. Are you at least adding freshly ph'd plain water between feedings? Expect to flush once a month or every 6 weeks to remove the salt build-up, or nutrient lock-out could eventually be fatal.
As with any nutrient or additive, you should always "sneak-up" on the upper limits, not start out there.
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
Here's the update...my PH strips go from 6.2-8.8...I added the Optimum Hydroponix Ph+ to bring the Ph of the solution above 8.8 (hard to tell cause of the color range) but the run off is still not registering, cause the lowest mark (color) is 6.2. Should I add more Ph+? Also, in the crawl space, I did notice the exhaust from the neighbors dryer which leads outside, which I have tapped into with a bathroom fan and a T-pipe. What else can I do to bring this baby back to life? Or should I just start over with the 6 clippings that I managed to take from her before re-potting?
Nutrient Burn or Defeciency?
You are raising your ph to 8.8 before adding to plants? This will likely either kill the ladies, or stress them into producing nanners. 6.6 to 6.8 is optimum in soil, and Promix shouldn't alter the ph 'up' at all.
What color is your run-off? Pool test strips or an aquarium water ph test kit is fine for clean/clear water. But the color of the run-offf water will skew the results. A ph pen is a much more accurate method.
I strongly recommend adjusting water to around 6.6 or 6.7, and flush the shit out of em. (a couple of times the volume of the pot, minimum) For the time being, I"d pay more attention to what the ph is going in. Worry about run-off if the need arises, and get a ph pen if possible. (the need will definatelly arise at some point down the line)
Also...are you sure you're not pumping your exhaust into your neighbors bathroom? (their fan likely isn't on all the time to push your exhaust away. I'm positive that if my bathroom started smelling like a skunk, or if I started hearing voices or noises coming from the vent/fan...I'd definatelly track down the problem, or have management do so. :wtf:
