Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
CNN confirms Sen. Barack Obama has chosen Delaware Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice-presidential running mate.
regardless of who Obama is and how he has performed so far, this is going to make his duo a heavy contender especially on the issue of experience and foreign affairs!
good choice in my opinion among the few possible candidates for dems VP
must see how is the public and political reception
as for MMJ or for that matter any change in MJ laws, he seems to be the same ol' status quo:(

CNN--really????
Everyone else is still speculating. Too bad he did not go for a former contestant for the job! Biden said, "I did not apply, but if asked to serve, I will!" Guess that was his confirmation!
No matter who gets in, it will still be the same ol policy! VP, doesn't do much anyway, except vote for ties! Oh, and he could be Pres. if for any reason Obama leaves.:upsidedow

Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
true, this VP choice will be obamas big stick to bang on mccains head with and to hush the "experiment" critics... after all the guy has a load of experiment on an array of issues especially foreign affairs where McCain seems to have been hitting Obama alot!
all i can hope is that
Obama is a from a minority group
he has admitted to drug use in youth
he seems intelligent enough to read between the lines
he's younger than many of our past presidents
he doesnt seem to be that much of a hypocrite in comparison to many of his colleagues, i mean things should be seen relatively...
and he has said at least way back in 2004 he is for decriminalization of marijuana - that by itself is far better looking than some other candidates who walked away from wheelchair sitting MMJ patient and refused to even hear their question fully (some1 said romney? :-&)
at least something "may" get done if he gets elected, i can care less about economy as it really has little to do with president in nature, after all its a free market and will bounce back sooner or later...
same with military/security, he will be cmndr in chief but think about it, all bush did was order 2 wars, the rest of the things was carried and done by middle men and soldiers and lower than president ranks
and as for experience i highly doubt obama has less experience than bush running a country, im sure he wont wait 5 mins in silence in front of live cameras broadcasting all over the world when/if-god forbid- country becomes under such attacks again
or for that matter i can care less about any of above as long as i can smoke my weed in my own house and dont face jail and hefty penalties, no terrorist has any interest in hitting where i live lol and things are being taken care of by our security networks anyways plus we are on offensive on al-qaeda's central command and closing in on them especially if we shift the focus from iraq to afghanistan...
i must say this may be viewed as an immature opinion by older ppl than me, but for the tax system thats admittedly the worst in the world and for SSecurity system that i will get nothing out of and for the healthcare system that no1 alone can change, i can care less about who "wants" to do what about em... u see my point? come on, it took us a CIVIL WAR to abolish slavery which was abolished all over the civilized world by the time we went to war over it... and that was a vital rights issue... nowadays there is so much to deal with, so long as my mj thing is gettin a fix ill be happy and can put up with the rest of the crap that will be there regardless in one form or another! count on my low standard!
if he becomes president i sure hope "something", some positive step will be taken to reduce the penalty of small time marijuana possession/consumption at federal level or perhaps the federal vs. state thing on MMJ will have a defined and mutually backed up conclusion by states and the fed
oh btw this is alternate version for yall foxnews luvers :P
Obama Picks Joe Biden for Veep - Americaâ??s Election HQ

Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
Eh, I don't particularly like the pick.
He serves as the chair on the subcommitee of crimes and drugs. That makes medical marijuana a zero possibility for another 4 years.
It's a safe pick. I would've voted for Obama if he picked Mark Warner, who proved he turned a deficit into a surplus and brought a lot of money and jobs to Virginia thanks to his business acumen. Biden is another experienced beltway insider, which I suppose is why Obama picked him.

Osama is full of crap. Always has been, always will be.
For someone that says he is going to do things different for America...he picks one of the most well established bureaucrats he could find, to fill his shoes should the need arises. Now, does changing your mind about being for change, count as change?
For the first time in decades, I'll be watching the DNC convention with a tub of popcorn, some Raisenettes, a soda and a box of Kleenex. (ever laugh so hard you cry...?) I wonder who Billary will pick as her running mate, if the delegates upset Osama's apple cart?
My guess is that McCain will be picking Mitt Romney or Kay Bailey Hutchinson as his running mate. I'll bet even Billary would vote for the JM/KBH ticket, if she doesn't get the democratic nomination for president.

I agree adding someone with experience onto his ticket was a very smart move; but then you have to question... why are you voting for Obama and Not Biden. Biden is still stronger than the candidate that the democrats put of for their presidential Nominee. Doesn't that bother you at all?
-
Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
Its probably a good choice for Obama. I don't care for either one. And I get tired of all this "change" talk. There will be no change. Obama won't have the guts to sign some executive orders to overturn some of the damage bush has done and his only other job is foreign affairs and he doesn't seem to have much of a game plan there.

I recall that as well. Really several democrats who have strongly voiced their support of Obama have all been quoted as referencing his inexperience.
I'm sure the right will have a field day with tearing this apart.

Anybody know of a website where I can take a look at biden's voting history and policy initiatives? Wikipedia has nothing on it, I can't find anything through google, and his homepage has a VERY annoying thing you have to enter your name, e-mail, a bit of other stuff, and a whole personal note to submit, before you can even look at his homepage! How extremely stupid.

Project Vote Smart - Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. - Voting Record
I use it to look at all voting records. Very useful website. It is purely interested in fact and voting record so it has no bias.
Allows you to make a very informed decision based on a politicians history.

Looking at the experience factor this is a good pick for him but I'm sure it will do nothing to appease the Clinton voters. Time will tell.....
Have a good one!:s4:

Two video clips taken out of context! Oh my! Surely this must be the end for him!
Candidates are always mean to their competitors and nice to the people that they don't think have a chance. At the time, no one thought McCain had a chance of being the Republican nominee, and Biden was struggling to unseat the top-tier candidates.
-
Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
I still think Biden is a good choice for Obama its just not a good choice for America. It would be nice to have a candidate that actually stood for "change". Oh well. We'll see how the next 4 years go with a black man at the helm.
-
Obama's VP: Confirmed, Biden
I think my opinion on Biden is clear with this remark "LOL". That is all :D I just hope Mccain dosent pick Romney, then I prolly wont vote at all. Biden doe's represent everything Obama wants to "Change". Anyone see the videos where Biden makes fun of the Indians in his state? Here are some links.

Yeah ill prolly end up voting for them anyway... I just did not like the way Romney nor Mccain treated Ron Paul in the primaries and Romneys views on the Government and Religion. I guess the bottom line is its comming down to the lesser of 2 evils...
Mccain Romney 09.
