What's the most ignorant, stupid comment you've ever heard about weed?

The other week I was out having a drink with a friends family and they were talking about one of their relatives being thin; and they were all like "oh it's that cannabis stuff that's keeping her thin, she needs to get off it" WTF!!!

I've also met people who think crack and weed are the same thing! lol

Or when there's a car crash or something and somebody says "oh, the driver was probably out of his/her mind on that pot stuff"

The people who make these silly, ignorant uninformed comments are usually no younger than about 40, they're all living in the past. They get fed a load of bullshit/propaganda by the government and it sticks with them, it's been etched into their minds and if somebody tries to tell them different they don't want to know. When I hear these stupid comments about cannabis it pisses me off but at the same time it's kinda funny and makes me laugh at how dumb these people are. I've tried to inform people like members of my family that weed is a beneficial drug and is not dangerous, not addictive, can't overdose etc... but it goes in one ear and out the other, they don't want to know and don't care yet they still enforce their stupid opinions. It's probably because I'm young that they don't take me seriously, I guess we'll have to wait for the government to tell everybody that this drug is harmless because it seems that the government is the only thing that most people will listen to.
When cannabis is legalised, I hope they praise the drug with the same effort and publicity that they used to trash it like when they made that stupid fucking film--

Ive heard that many stupid comments from people who have never even tried it.The people i know that have smoked for years like 25 yrs say its all good and theres nothing wrong with them.My mum knows i smoke and she hates it but i just be truthful and ive heard some of the most ridiculous stories that just make me laugh and then i tell her that it makes me want to smoke more.Just for some fun to get her going.

One kid I knew thought it caused brain cancer, actually. He thought it was more harmful than alcohol, so he would drink himself stupid and never touch a damn doobie.

Fortunately, he had an open mind (either that or he was so stupid that anything he hears he believes--right or wrong) and a friend and I convinced him to finally try it. Of course, now he loves it and he can't believe all the misinformation he had.

During Christmas I was sitting with my parents at the dinner table when my mother says "Calm down." I'm a very hyper person you see, so if someone says calm down I'm most likely bouncing off the walls. Anyways she then says "You know they have a drug now for adult A.D.D." I said "Mom it's called Cannabis and you don't allow me to use it while visiting your home." We then got into a three hour debate about cannabis and the other drug like zoloff and the other company drugs that give you anal leakage or liver damage. They couldn't understand why I would rather use a plant then a chemical for the same problem. Calming my hyper ass down.

I have seen it all! I have worked in some rough ass bars as a bartender & waitress, I know what booze can do...shit I still drink a little to much once in a while, and do shit I would not usually do. I have been on crack, LSD, shrooms whatever! And it changes you! IMO!

Yeah, the "leads onto other drugs" argument is the classic dumb comment, Iv been smoking cannabis for 17 years, virtually every day, it probably will be cancer that sees me off, and I have tried other drugs, shrooms, acid ecstasy speed and cocaine, but my use of these drugs has always been kept recreational for the last 15-16 years and my drug use has never had an adverse affect on any aspect of my life, not my finances, not my health, not my work or social life, never tried smack or crack tho, wouldnt want to either, and I havent done any acid or shrooms for about 10 years, I prefer my faculties about me these days, I guess most "straight" (read ignorant) people only ever get to hear about the bad stories regarding drugs littlerealising that these people are a tiny minority among drug users.

There was some chick giving my buddy trouble when he started smoking weed. She claimed that she knew all she needed to know about it, and she didn't have to listen to his "stoned-out justifications." She also had no idea what magic mushrooms or crack were.

This is an example of a person who thinks they have all the facts on marijuana, but in fact they don't even have all the facts on life.

It's all those bullshit "what's your anti-drug" commercials. Those always piss me off when I see them.

my parents are those who don't know the difference between weed and meth. they sat there and told me it give you flash-backs at random times, kills brain cells, inhibits all learning capabilities, and is very addicting. when i called bull-shit on this, they said they grew up during the 60's and they should know. that's when i said i was the one fucking smoking it and i should know. after that i just got slapped. end of conversation.

your all missing the point, firstly cannabis is addictive, we all know that, It's wether were honest enough to admit it. Secondly it can be a dangerous drug, I know plenty of people to have accidents that would of been avoided If they were'nt stoned. I had a fire once, started to fry some eggs, something out of the window caught my eye and the next thing I was out in the garden cutting the lawn, I expect some of you can relate to that. As for beneficial,...........My memories fucked. And I,m over 40

Cannabis is not physically addictive, although some people can develop a psychological addiction to it.
