Anywhere to order pollen in the mail?

I was really hoping to pollinate this season because this was my last batch of seeds. Last year all my plants were male. This year I planted extra large numbers to make sure I got males and females, but a flood/severe thunderstorm wiped out my grow area and I'm lucky that I even have the two survivors left that I have. I think they are both female though.

Two females is one of the best "problems" I can imagine having, but nonetheless I would love to have some pollen so I don't ever have to order seeds again (it makes me nervous as hell). However, I don't know anyone else that grows...

It would be so cool if there were some site I could order fresh or freeze dried pollen from. Maybe I could e-mail a seed shop and ask them if they could do that for me. You would think they have plenty available since that is part of the process of making seeds....

Thoughts?

Seed vendors are re-sellers. They don't have any boys around the shop.

Pollen doesn't ship well, at all.

Grab a cutting, root it up, and abuse the photocycle. It'll herm for ya, and you'll get some pollen.

If you're outside, you'll prob get some pollen naturally- couple seeds, anyway.

If you let the plant flower forever( several weeks past ripe), most varieties will drop a few bannanas, as insurance.

I think id much rather take the chance on ordering more seeds insted of pollen. No telling what customs would think the pollen was if they found it. Either way I wouldnt order anything like that in the mail. Ive been tryin to warn as many people on here as possible since yesterday a cop came to my door to give me the old "I could arrest you right now with a felony" bit for some seeds i ordered. I had looked on here and other sites and the worse thing i could find was a seize letter getting sent insted of seeds.

Im sure people who read all the post on here are getting tired of hearing about it but i feel i need to let as many people know as possible. Ive never been so parinoid in my life so i hope i can save someone else from goin through this pig crap!

I know someone else who had 2 postal inspectors, packing heat, arrive at his friend's front door in a black suburban carrying an intercepted seed packet. There was a complicating factor, but the mail guys apparently don't fuck around.

Force a hermi and make yourself a nice S1 generation backup. It's a lot less likely to give you an ulcer.

How do I force a hermie again? These plants are outside, so I can't really mess with the light cycle that I know of (unless moving them into shade now and again will accomplish that).

Also, will the seeds generated from hermie pollen most likely produce hermie plants?

Put a paper bag over the branch you want to hermie, and remove it randomly.
The plants produced will be all female and unless the plant already carried a natural hermie trait, will not go hermie until you stress them as much as the parent, which I suspect you don't plan to do.

Thanks so much for the advice, everyone! I had no idea you could get pollen in these ways.

It's fairly difficult to get out to the site, so I only go once a week or so. I imagine if I did the "bag over the branch" thing I'd have to go every day. I could make the time for a little while... how long would it take though?

If the plants would most likely drop some bananas if I left some buds on past ripe, then maybe I'll just try to go with that method. I could fully harvest one plant, and then leave half the buds on the other plant and see if it pollinates itself. Think that would work? Or if I need to I can harvest one plant and leave the 2nd plant untouched if that would give it more chances of self-pollinating. I'd be willing to sacrifice a plant to get more seeds if that is the case.

Do you think you could give us a little about the factor involved. This just happened to me and i dont think i had any contributing factors. I just want to get to the bottom of this and see if this is something new going on or if im just the most unlucky guy on the site.

I was under the impression that even though the 'bananas' can form from letting the plant over-ripen, it's still too late for the plant to make seeds? ....and that the best you can do is collect that pollen and use it on another plant that's still actively flowering or save it for the next batch of plants.

Can an over-ripened cannabis plant produce seeds from the late 'nanners that pop up on it?

I donâ??t know the answer to this but i have a very similar question. If a plant was introduced pollen late in flowering would the seeds most likely be undeveloped at the time of harvest? When the best time to pollinate?

I was hoping someone would be able to answer both of our questions at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Start trying to force the herm right away- early in flower- so not only does the plant have time to make nanners, but the seeds produced have at least a month to develop. Seeds need a good 5 weeks on the plant; they WILL continue to ripen slightly while the plant is hanging to dry, but a month on a live plant is about a minimum. If you want to be sure, let the plant ripen alive until the seeds are FAT and BRown, and the calyxes containing seeds are tan colored and papery, regardless of trich color.

I would never open my door to two strangers from a black surburban. They would be knocking for a while.

^100% correct, if all they do is show up with no warrent that means they dont have enough evidence to charge you and they are looking for some, dont give it to them. tell them to fuck off through the door. this is why you ALWAYS have the seeds sent to a name thats diferent than yours. i use "joe liberman."

i have read about cops showing up at peopls doors when they tried to have an ounce shipped to them. they busted in the door and arrested the man of the house despite no warrent, and the name on the package didnt match anyone in the house. the cops knew it was all going to get thrown out, but they just wanted to fuck with him anyway.

never open the door. EVER, not even just to step outside and tell the cops to get lost. no warrent = dont open the door.

ps. you need to start cloning, growing from seed is a waste of energy because of all the males. if you get one cutting and grow it in a bubble bucket you could make your own feminized seeds by crushing up a pain pill in the nutes.

The problem with that is, in my state at least, the police can (and will) take your home and property if they find a grow there (or even anything grow related, if they busted you with more then an oz.). The chances are much slimmer that I'll get caught outside (they usually just pull the plants if they find them), and if I do get caught I will not lose my home and property.

Given that it freezes here in the winter, if I wanted to clone I would have to have an indoors place to do it. I know a lot of people grow in their homes and never get caught, but you never know when Murphy's Law will come out and bite your ass (a false fire alarm when you're not home, etc.).

I'll never grow at my home while the law remains the way it is in my state. So cloning is not an option. It is not worth losing everything I've ever worked for. So... I do it the old fashioned way... seeds outside.

This is no good! I show up and people think there will be a fight? That thread did get way out of hand and ended up bad but those were never my intentions. If i knew that was going to happen i would have kept my experiences to myself. However, i would like to apologize for getting so frustrated, there is nothing worse then not being able to prove something you know happened and thats why i was starting to freak out. I could go make a new name and come back fresh but i dont think its fair for me to have to do that. So hopefully with that said this will be over and maybe you will see that im only here to help and be helped (Ill probly be helped more than ill help though) Sorry its a noob thing, It doesnâ??t mean im not trying to help or atleast throw my 2 cents in when i think i have an answer.

Ah, ok good to know. Once when I grew for the purpose of making tons of seeds I let the male explode with pollen everywhere... they were grown at the same time so it happened pretty early in flowering... just right for making the thousands of beans I needed to spread around to people on Oahu (where it is very difficult to find any seeds in the weed)

Hell yeah it was!! I just moved back from there. I only lived there a year, smoked everyday, and never found a single seed! Stuff around here just doesnt match up... I miss my island paradise... Maybe i smoked some of the stuff you helped to grow with those seeds! If i did It was GOOD!! :rastasmoke:
