I've noticed some people take a rip, hold it in, then blow it all at once really fast. Some people roll it around in their mouth and slowly let it out.
I like variations...sometimes I will open up both corners of my mouth and let 2 slow trails of smoke come out on each sides...I call it the dragon breath, haha. Of course you got the little tricks like upside down waterfalls and rings, which are always fun to do as well.

i take a rip, remove my pants, do 3 front flips, and blow it out fast....
After I finish puffin,I hold it for about 5 seconds I let a little bit out and take a small breath and then after maybe 2 seconds I let out a little more and then take another small breath and hold it for about 2-3 seconds before letting the rest come out slowly....not too slow,but I dont just exhale it out with force you know?
But then again,if I got alot of weed I just inhale and hold it for a few seconds before slowly letting it out.
i shit you not, i just dragon breath exhaled 20 seconds ago. took a nice big bong rip, blew it out slowly from both sides of my mouth, sat down and clicked the "new posts" button. clicked this page and read your post. not the most earth shattering event i know but im stoned so it seems epic. :jointsmile:

My personal favorite is when using a j or a pipe (cant be a bong) indoors or in a confined space, you suck as much smoke as you can into your mouth and throat, lightly blow it out using your tounge then before the smoke cloud dissolves, inhale it in one huge breath. Yeah, thats how I do it. Always seems to get me higher than if i just let it all go in when big puff. If I feel the need to try and impress or show off I like to blow smoke rings or let a little bit seap out to where it looks like its just floating infront of my mouth then suck it back in really quick. it always looks cool.Quote:

you're just absorbing extra carcinogens dude, all the thc is gone from the smoke in like 5 seconds, after that you're just damaging your lungs. just cause your lungs are absorbing smoke, doesnt mean that theres thc in it.Quote:

I still think it is a myth that all the THC in smoke is absorbed after 5 (or however many) seconds. If you hold in smoke longer, you'll absorb more of the drug that is in the smoke. There is no reason to believe all the THC is absorbed before the smoke. Holding smoke in has benefits and detriments. The benefit is that you absorb more THC. The problem with holding smoke in is that you also absorb more of the tars and poisons. That's why I usually vaporize.
vaporizers still produce carcinogens cause it uses heat to bring the THC out of the weed.the alveolae in your lungs can absorb THC faster than they can absorb the thick smoke thats filled with carcinogens and stuff, thats the reason to believe the THC is absorbed before the smoke.
Concerning holding smoke in... I'm not saying you're wrong that the alveolae in your lungs can absorb THC faster than they can absorb the thick smoke thats filled with carcinogens and stuff. But I just don't have any reason to believe that (other then you saying it). Someone else is going to tell me that your lungs absorb it all at the same rate... why should I believe you over him? I only start coughing if I vaporize the bud too much and start really darkening the bud. At that point the taste changes from the "minty fresh" taste and I start to get a slight taste that reminds me of when I used to smoke cigarettes... so that tells me the amount of tar and shit in the vapor is increasing. Even though I could hit the bowl more, I usually dump it and load fresh bud.
After I smoke I *always* cough regardless of how long I hold the hit in.. and may still be coughing hours later. Just listening to my body, I guess, tells me that the vapor is a lot healthier, even if I hold it in.
You are right that carcinogens are produced, though. So maybe I will stop holding the vapor hits in. I just honestly think it may be such a small amount that it doesn't matter... especially since I vaporize "lightly"
