Every time I have told someone this that use Pro Mix they have come back to me and told me that I have solved alot of problems for them.
Ok heres the first part, someone sand that the soil of pro mix has a ppm of around 1100? and says its bad for clones, how about the general plant? and also wat is the ppm? i know parts per million but of what? and how can i even this out? another thing, i see a 3 number thing like 0-35-70 or something wat is an ideal number? and what do these stand for? i think its that npk thing, nitrous phosphate and like kno or something which i know kno is potassium nitrate idk if it is kno for the k
As for nutrients which ones should i be using? and are they safe to mix together or should i just mix one at a time into the water? i saw a good feeding schedule which im gonna use that someone else posted. When its the last 2 weeks of flowering i know your suppose to flush but when do you know your last 2 weeks are? Do you just do from like 2 weeks before the average harvest time till your actual harvest? like if its a 7/8 harvest would you do around 5/6? and just do til you harvest? im going to be keeping them going until 20% amber, *BTW is this 20% of the buds are a pure amber or 20% of each bud amber?*
Germinating, im germinating 3 schwag seeds to practice atm, they all sunk, one appears to have a crack it didnt, and hte other looks like the end is constipated and it almost appearing to be trying to push out. Is this positive germination growth?Anyone have an estimate of how long until it gets it little root tip for me to plant it?
I was thinking about using miracle grow and a miracle grow spray for nutrients and was wondering if i should be looking for in my soil and spray, or for variations of those that could be dangerous/positive.

Also besides that unknown chemical thats ppm of 1100 is to high, are there any others probably bad? i was thinking maybe the ppm of 1100 is nitrogen?

Ill even throw in a lighting question, how generous of me, hehe, Should i just use a couple 40w cfls on tops of the plant? or should i use a longer tube? i could get a couple 48 inch tubes and then get like a 5 foot chain and slowly raise it with plant growth on a hook, the plants wont be to far from the wall when they start growing, probably when they start branching off about kept 4 inches from the wall and monitored regularly, so they will absorb the light from the walls, the walls are a white so they reflect it very nicely. Also wondering about HPS, are they hard/expensive to get one of those ballasts or w/E? or is there something else that works just as nicely from a socket or an easy to get socket? I dont know what metal hallides use

sorry one more  i heard your suppose to flower alot of strains at 4-7 internudes or nutes or something, is inter part mean that when the branch has 4-7 branches or forks off of it? Or can i just wait for the ideal height because im going to be growing them to 4-5 feet finishing up so around 17 inches and then start flowering

The link in my sig should help you out with most of your questions.
Don't worry at all about the ppm of promix. It is fine for plants from seed. I prefer 'faffard seedling starting mix' for the first part of the plant's life, which is from 0-5 nodes, then transplant into promix or compost + perlite for the next stage, which is from 5 nodes to sexual maturity (usually ~8 nodes or so and 6 weeks from seed), and then transplant AGAIN to flower.

thanks stinky, what should i use for clones? would a perlite vermiculite and maybe something else perhaps a different planting soil? because that would lower the ppm unless those have high lvls of nitrogen, because i still need to make that clone if i get no males into a hermie :P i was thinking if i get a male ill either dust one of the plants and spray the others, or do the bottom parts of each plant because i hear the buds arent as good because they dont get as much light

Also how do i tell if their is root burn? and what does 'stretching' from like not enough light look like?
-
Germinating, Watering, Nutrients, Soil
Perlite and vermiculite are both inert.
I use rapidrooters. They are made of composted bark and a binding agent.
Root burn... you won't see it in soil, but you can see SYMPTOMS- I assume you mean fertilizer burn, and the tips of your leaves will turn brown and crunchy.
Stretching looks like your plants are too tall for how thick the stem is.

I have to admit something to you guys but shhhhhh!!! When I clicked on that link, it brought me to a world I've never seen! A greener world, with different font! :D
This one loads the same as the forums and you can find it more easily:

The link in my signature is just a guide step by step, but I'll tell ya the 3 numbers one:
First number- N- nitrogen- for leafy growth, use after 5 nodes, drop to less than 50% original strength at inception of flower, do not give much N at ALL aftr 2nd week of flower.
Second number- P- phosphorous- for root growth and bud set. You need more in flower than you do in veg. Again, do not give before 5 nodes.
Third number- K - potassium - for immune health and flowering. Start giving at 5 nodes with others, and keep on all the way through. Extra K during flower is good if done right.
Just pick a quality fertilizer, follow the directions on the bottle, and observe the plants' reaction. IF they look hungry, feed them more. If they look burnt, feed them less.
