Need help, first time grower
Hello, been lurking for quite some time trying to learn as much as I can and I'm about a week into veg and ever since I put my Church plants in my grow box the leaves have been coming out curled and rough, is this normal or do I have a heat problem. Temps are about 82 during the day, I'm logging what the temps get overnight tonight so I'll have that info, plants are under a 600W MH. Thanks for any help! :)

Looking pretty good just a little droopy, could be a little heavy on the watering.
Good luck!

Yeah, I thought that might've been a problem. Thanks for the advice!

Bump cause I got another question......
I flushed them today with distilled water because I noticed the leaves were starting to turn yellow but then checked the ph and it's around 9-10 for most of them. I just ordered some ph Down but in the meantime I read that vinegar can be used for a short term solution. Has anyone else heard of that or any tips on how I can lower it till I get the ph Down delivered? Thanks alot and any help is greatly appreciated.

How are you checking the pH? Also distilled water has such a low ionic strength that often it WILL produce incorrect readings on meters that were designed for high I.S. nute solutions. Don't fix what ain't broke; your plnats look excellent.
The leaves were yellowing from hunger. It is time to start in a 1/4 strength grow fertilizer. Also, low leaves naturally yellow and drop when they are no longer needed, or if they are deeply shaded by fresh, thick growth.

I have all the FF nutes purchased to use, I did one feeding and that's when it seemed to start drooping and the main stem and the branches started to have a purple tint to them. I'm using a pH tester you stick in the soil, I'll have more pictures up later on. Thanks for the complement on my girls, I was hoping you would've replied to this eventually. :)

Ahh. That tester is definitely not sensitive enough to read accurately after a DI flush! Get a bottle of liquid drops for a second opinion- $7... that's a few bux well spent!

I'll make a log sometime tomorrow when I'm not as tired, they are Church from Greenhouse Seed Co. The drooping has picked up BTW. :)

from your light source i wouldn't suspect they need anymore but I know the one I have now was drooping alot from it raining a week straight(outside grow) and lack of sunlight. Not quite sure why they'd be doing that. I'll check out your log later tonight or tomorrow if it's up. Search around the forums, may find an answer. Good luck
gmorning

That shape that LOOK like drooping but with the leaves still turgid is fairly common if you are running multiple lights in close proximity to the plants. They just aim those little green solar collectors wherever they get most light!
If the leaves FEEL droopy, worry!
