nope, jesus wasn't here to marry. Just Save every single soul who has ever walked, walking or will walk the earth..
I mean, who has time for a wife..
I've read numerous gnostic texts that allude to the possibility, and I do believe it could've been how it happened. This is the reason I love studying different texts and scriptures, It shows me different ideas and accounts of the past. I am a Christian who believes that the majority of the Bible is not the absolute word of god. This is an unpopular opinion in the Christian community.
So be it.
I also think he wasnt married... anyway... i think it actually doesnt matter. What matters is if he died for us and ressucited after... cause this was his mission here... everything else is only historical details.
i am to understand that he married Mary Magdalen... not like had a ceremony or anything, but that he loved her and cared about her.
i have never read scripture, nor have i read anything of the bible really, but i've heard a lot from a lot of different people, so i really cannot say with certainty.
but i CAN say that i believe he was a real person, and no more a person than anyone else, and that he was pissed off at the hebrew politicians for altering judiasm, and fought like any man enthralled with his beliefs would have.
He was an ordinary man, with an ordinary life.
The bible wasnt written until 500 years after he died, so fuck it. no offense.
Its hard to tell from reading the King James version of the bible.
I don't think there is any evidence there but in some of the books that were left out of the bible there is a possibility. Not married but they may have been living in sin.lol Which is kind of funny for being the big kahuana. I believe that Mary just idolized Jesus for saving her from a life of prostitution
I am very suspicious to how far from the true biblical texts we are.
I mean has the catholic church ever given a sound reason for the lies that was spouted about Mary Magdelen. They called her a hooker and then admitted they was lying all along.
Why the deformation of character, what are they afraid off?
That is a long winded way of saying "I wish i knew".
I really do.
Whether Mary was actually a prostitute is a hotly contested issue among historians. Many believe the writers of the bible used that angle because in the times the book was written, the idea of a woman being the head disciple of Christ would've been considered far too dangerous and controversial. While the Di Vinci Code itself is all a bunch of bunk, the general premise of Mary being married to Jesus has been around for a very long time among scholars.Quote:

There is one line of thought that says that Jesus (Jesus the man, Jesus the teacher; not Jesus the Son of God) escaped from the tomb, and, with Mary MAgdelene, fled to India, where there was far more tolerance at the time for non-mainstream spiritual beliefs. They lived out the remainder of their lives and are both buried there.

if jesus really looked how he is depicted (a white man with a perfect body, symmetrical face, and fearless of his own death), then he was probably *too sexy* to get married.
"fuck no bitch i'm not marrying you I'm the LORD I am TOO MIGHTY to be tied down. now eat of my body and drink my BLOOD!"
I wouldnt say that he was handsome as depicted, cause this pictures are from middle age... but surely he was too *wise* to get married... :pQuote:
