Hey lee, check out the info in the outdoor growing section and look through some of the outdoor grows in the grow logs section.
Is that your plant in your avator? It's looking really good dude ;)
Good luck!
thanx mate yeas its my first plant really ill at the start but i fell in love with it if i get time i call home make sure its in the sun im obsessed my wife gets jealouse just dont know how to really get the most out of it and i aint got a clue about buddin im gutted !!!!!!!
Well it's looking healthy now so just do as much reading on here as you can and hopefully you'll get some good bud in a couple of months :)
Like i said in reply to your question on my thread, outdoors they start budding naturally as the days get shorter, when that happens you should start adding flowering nutes to get your buds to grow as big as possible.
thanx mate its sound that you can get some help on here im buzzin we all be fightin over computer now but if you live in merseyside i work for virgin media as a install tech i be glad sort you some free stuff out for return of good advice thanx again cause i really want this to work:thumbsup:
First off, don't give the wife a reason to be too jealous! Do something nice for her to keep things going smoothly! Otherwise she may commit "cannabacide"!
Secondly, you are growing outside. We just had the solstice, the longest day of the year. Your plant will not flower until the days get shorter. 12/12 days are about September 22.
So are you stuck waiting all summer to see if it's a girl or boy? :(
NOPE! :) Take a cutting from your plant- about 1 1/2- 2 inches long. (If you take the main shoot, it will make the side branches grow faster! = bushier plant :D ) Put the cutting in water- I just use a cup with a foil top to hold the cuttings. Stick the cutting in a dark place (a big cardboard box will do) with a 12/12 CFL (small lamp + a $4 timer) next to it. The cutting will sex out long before your plant does! Mine take about 2 weeks to show. Change the water every few days.

welcome. if you transplant outdoors wire your grow with trebble hooks and 30# line staked into the ground. I've been ripped and I'm quiet, old, mellow, and some generous but I've lost all my good outdoor shit I've grown here. The hooks and such sound crazy but for little dough you can have a little peace of mind that you'll get your dues. Dig it?

hey, who knows, maybe catch a rabbit or ground hog for dinner (or a pole cat? LMFAO)
thanx very much mate great advice and im goin to do that first thing in the mornin hope you dont mind the questions but when u get a min could you please have a look at my pics and see if they look well for 8wks old thanx again v.much
Sure, have a link, Bub?
You should also get some Fox Farm Nutes and follow the instructions for feeding on the chart (the chart is available online or from the distributer) but modifiy it for the stages of flowering your in. Like right now I would be giving her (hopefully) big bloom and growbig for the vegitve stage until the first signs of sexing.
You can find them online and get both liquid and granular form and mix them at feeding acording to the chart.
Also when you start getting alternating nodes look very closely at the the part where the plant has formed a secondary branch and where pre-flowers will form. A Female will have 1 ball forming with a small hair sticking out of the middle on both sides of the node, a Male will have more than one ball with no hairs sticking out also on both sides of the node. You will need a magnifying glass to do this. These pre-flowers are very tiny and hard to see with the naked eye.
By the way looks like your off to a good start your plant looks healthy.

leebud, good luck with your first grow! I'm in the middle stages of my first grow, and I'm having a great time with it - it really is addictive. My wife had some jealously issues as well, because I was spending so much time reading/learning/experimenting about/with my plant. But, everything should be done in moderation, and I try to spend my time on this board when I am away from my wife, so I don't lose any time with her when we're together.
As for the node question - the node is the crease between the main stalk and a branch - it is the location where JG was referring you to determine sex when your plant begins to show.
I look forward to seeing some pictures of your plant, and I wish you continued success! Be sure to read as much as you possibly can on this board, and employ use of the Search function to answer your detailed questions. You'll be surprised how many people have asked and had answered your same questions.
Be good out there!
Thanks Jakezking for answering that part of the question for Leebud I did not have time this morning to get to it.
Leebud, Jakezking is correct about the location of the nodes. except that it is any location that a fan leaf comes out of the main stalk or branch as you get further along in your grow you will notice this is where the buds will start forming.
Also when I say alternating nodes this is how it happens. When you first started growing your plant the leaves were comming out of the stalk paraell to each other ( both next to each other on the stalk). When the plant reaches the mature stage and begins to think of reproducing the nodes will start to alternate. Meaning only one leaf will come out of the stalk then the next will come out higher up and on the opposite side as the other.
This is when to start looking at the nodes lower down the stalk for pre-flowers.
Hope this helped you out and best of luck with your grow. I will be checking in every now and then to see your progress and help you out when needed.
