I haven't smoked weed in over a month and I feel great.

First off, I wanna say when I smoked, I loved it.


I haven't smoked in over a month. Lost my hookup yet again. For the first few weeks I called lots of people and none of them could have gotten me any. Now I gave up looking and I don't care anymore.

My memory has improved a lot. I guess the short term memory does affect SOME people.

I don't feel as lazy anymore.

I get about the same amount of work done, maybe a little more.

Oddly enough, since I quit, my headaches have gone down and my wallet is a lot fuller :)

I've found something productive I enjoy doing instead of smoking weed at nights. I read books. Doesn't get me high, but I enjoy it a lot. That, along with a sexy new lady friend I got(;)) I'm pretty busy when I'm not dealing with work.

I respect each and all of you for toking please respect my decision to quit after all who knows, I might start again in the future.

I completely respect your decision man. I give up for a random couple of weeks frequently. I get a sober buzz and find myself pursuing alot more endeavors. I think alot of people hype up its good effects too much and this is probably a equal and opposite reaction to being harangued for smoking and having its ill effects hyped up by the otherside.


Weed opens us up to new thoughts to a point. But anyone who says it improves them for the better because they smoke everyday is seeking a justification to do so.

Despite this when im smoking I usually do so daily, I see this as a minor pleasent vice, not a life improvement.

@ greenleaf, we'd care because it's good to hear that people can give up bud for a month and feel great? Whats wrong with sharing that?

@ the OP, hahah I definitely know what you mean - weed costs a lot of money which you don't really realise until you quit for a while. Anyway good 4 you bro :jointsmile:

There's really no reason to question someone's reason behind posting something. This is related to cannabis, it's a good example of how easy it is to stop smoking weed, and it's a very respectable thing to do to abstain from anything tempting.

People really need to learn how to be civilized on the internet.

Just because he stopped smoking, it doesn't mean he hates weed and all who smoke it. He even asked kindly to respect his choice, and I think he deserves it. Denouncing his personal choice to make a post about how he's proud of himself for doing this is disrespectful in my mind.

It just kind of ticks me off that people are telling him that he doesn't belong here because he doesn;t smoke.

I mean, look at our moderator Birdgirl, she doesn't smoke, but she's no less of a good person for it. In fact she's an example of the negative effects of cannabis, and she still belongs here.

Also it sounds like you're trying to imply that all people should smoke weed, and that its a bad thing to not smoke.
You say you would give credit to an MMJ patient who doesn't need their meds, but you wouldn't give credit to just a normal smoker that doesn't want to smoke anymore. Why is it such a terrible thing for someone who is not an MMJ patient to quit smoking weed. Also, whether or not he is an MMJ patient is absolutely irrelevant to the subject of this thread. He quit smoking, he is no longer a medical or recreational user. It seems to me that the point of this thread is that he is looking for support, and he wants to tell of his own experience, which is just as valid a topic as anything.
