Completely Limp Leaf
Well I went to check on my plant to find one of the leafs on the second node has gone completely limp. My plant is 11cm tall and working on its 3rd node. The rest of the plant is totally fine, just this one leaf has gone totally limp. Its just hanging with no life left. I think the problem is over watering because my plant is also growing really really slow. Any comments? Its under a 120 watt agro lite and its about a ft under it. Do u think this will happen to the rest of the leaves?

need to add a little more info but sounds like nothing major if its a bottom leaf not getting much light

I would say maybe not gettin light also, if it was over watered im sure the whole plant or at least most of it would be all droopy. I would say dont worry about maybe even a weird small complication during development....see if it starts to discolor and dry out...

I'm wondering if it got damaged somehow at the internode? That's the only reason I can think of where a single leaf would show those symptoms. If that's the case it should die and fall off soon.

I'd examine it carefully with a magnifying glass, to make sure some bug isn't sucking on it ...

One leaf? Eh, it happens. Nothing that the Little Blue Pill won't fix;)
Seriously though, if the plant isn't showing other symptoms, it's minor physical damage, and not going to kill the thing. Look for bugs.

well the one leaf eventually was picked because it was shriveling up and dying. Then the next day the other leaf started to show the same symptoms. That leaf too had to be eventually picked. And now my 2 top leaf which should be the 3rd node, 1 of them has a white spot that is getting bigger and drying up the leaf. I dont know what the probelm is but i think im gonna move my grow space out of my basement becausei think its something in the air and with bugs. I have a 120 watt grow light and my plant seemed to do better when i gave it sunlight considering it barely grew under the light. Any suggestions for begining a new grow?

Ever since i put my plant under its light opposed to leaving it in the sun, its really only been growing taller and not developing bigger leaves or more leaves. What is the cause of this. Should i get more lights?

Yes. Read the link in my sig. Then read it again.
Your 120 watt light- is it an incandescent?
What is your water source, and are you giving fertilizer?

from whats given it sounds as if the light is to far away, resulting in the plant "stretching" to obtain more light
how much heat does that bulb put off? if minimal then keep the light 2-5 inches away the closer the better - if that agro lite is a fluorescent , if it is not a fluoro then let someone more experienced solve your problem as it could be circulation or other issues causing it :jointsmile:

This one? Lose it. It's useless. Use flourescents.

I merged these threads because if this is the bulb you are using, it's teh same problem- crappy light bulb, no penetration, no light to low leaves, stretch.
Bend the tall plants over sideways and tie them down, and switch to flouros. Read the link in my sig if you haven't yet.
