wat to do in my situation? (long)

whats up fellow tokers....i'd so fed up with some of the things that have been happening around me that i just had to share with my compassionate tokers...

i live in a gang-infested town in cen cal...i have been out of HS for 3 years already...i have steadily looked for work around a 25 mile radius and prob have gone to 30+ interviews and NOTHING

my parents dont work and we're almost out the house

i have no liscense....barely any money

my mom has a bad weed problem to the point where she steals money from me and dank from me....

any time i have a girl she somehow finds a way to get the girl to leave me...cant have any friends over go apes*** when she has no weed and i cant stand it.... also when she aint got dank she says things u shouldnt say like "thats y ur dad dont want u" i just cant stand her anymore she throws tantrums for weed and its PATHETIC

well i guess my question is? im narrowing it down to navy or moving to another town and become a bum and teach tennis (the only thing i kno in-depth?)

Moving to a new town may be pretty tough since you have no money and you risk being in a worse situation but you can still find a job. You should probably stop smoking for a while to save money and pass any drug tests

And Navy is a great oppurtunity for you to get a brand new start on your life. Youll have money, travel the world, make lifelong friends, and youll be able to get an education. Only bad thing is you cant smoke but your life is more important than marijuana. Id say go for it and start a brand new life

wow well let's see... travel isnt cheap, andhitching is risky, tennis isnt that popular,but i hope if it comes to that you will manage... overall, i really cant say much except get out of there ASAP.


and if you want to get back at her, wait till she gets ahold of some green, steal it all, and ditch. but that's only if you wantedto get back at her for being so pathetic (no offence).

I think it's pretty obvious that you need to get out of that situation, so much frustration and drama can only lead to bad (and likely violent) things. So find a way to get out of that place you are in, even if its just mental. Actually that should probably be your first move, get yourself out of the house as often as possible go somewhere you can relax and think straight. Don't give up on looking for work, and don't be too proud to do some of the shit jobs that are out there. I'm a white guy from an average middle-class family yet half the jobs ive had in my life have been the type of jobs that most citizens won't take, like sorting cherries, bagging onions, cleaning hotel rooms, and sorting wood pallets (that one really sucked), but those shitty jobs kept money in my pocket and even lead me to dropping what I now realize was a racist attitude toward the illegal Mexicans that I worked with sometimes.
So find a place you can think clearly, you have to make the real decisions for yourself, it's had and it never gets any easier, but when the opportunity comes to make your life better you need to be in a place (mentaly) where you can recognize it, and go for it.
Also don't be afraid to ditch out on your Mom if thats what it takes, she brought you into this world and kept you alive when you could'nt fend for yourself so she deserves some credit for that, but now it sounds like she's just dragging you down.

You've got more options than you probably think. It's spring, and if you live in an area with any sort of agriculture, farm and landscaping jobs are a possibility. Some farms (and even one landscaping company that I know of) even have bunkhouses for the workers. Picking cukes sucks, but it's good honest work outdoors, and I can think of worse ways to spend a summer.
What about the Peace Corps, or another type of nonprofit that offers travel, education, and job training?
Is there a temp agency near you, even Labor Ready? I know Labor Ready sucks, but if you bust ass at a job, and make yourself stand out, the company might offer you a real position. Even better, a more specialized temp agency might be able to set up you with something.
Finally, the military. At least you don't need a vehicle, lol. It's a serious commitment, but a good way to get to a better place in your life. What about the Coast Guard or merchant marine? You will meet fascinating people at sea, often with a long family maritime history.
If you don't want to make a long commitment, try commercial fishing. Large companies that own fishing boats will often fly the crews out to their offices, for example at a big port like Seattle, and then put you to work on a catcher-processor. It's cold and wet, and smells fishy, but if you have never seen Alaska from the deck of a big trawler... it's hella spectacular. You'll have to pass a pre-employment drug screen for nearly any fishing job, but hey, it's your future and you gotta make some sacrifices.

Sorry to hear about your situation, not good, but unfortunately a little more common than you may think these days. As far as options to get you a jump start, the military isn't a bad spot but I'd avoid the Marines and the Army unless you feel like walking around Iraq or Afghanistan.

Myself, I spent 10 years in the Navy and attribute my career to the training I received while there. Granted, when I joined it was a different time as far as smokin' herb and they didn't drug test then. Now they do and take it seriously, so you better come to terms with giving up weed for a while. What you'll get in return is training, job skills, travel to cool places and $$ for school when you get out through the GI bill. Not a bad payback for not smoking weed for a while.

In regard to Stinky's comments on the Merchant Marines, definitely a good choice but the training in the military would exceed what you'd get from Military Sealift Command (MSC) who typically hires someone for specific skills or having the required engineer or mate/masters licenses. One way to get into MSC is hire on as a deck hand and work your way up to becoming an ABS (able bodied seaman), up to 3rd Mate and on from there if you like driving ships.

What I'd recommend you try to focus on if you choose either of these solutions is, you'll get out of it what you put into it. If you go in with a good attitude and look at the military as a means to an end, you'll do GREAT! In my case, I now make over $150k per year thanks to my training in the Navy. I'm also non-degreed...

So while things are looking bad for you now, you have some very viable options!! The bad news, you better start working on peeing clean.. Bummer I know, but much better than the alternatives.

PS - If you pick the Navy, avoid jobs like Hospital Corpsman or Intel.. You'd very likely end up with the Marines overseas anyway. Pick something that keeps you on a ship away from the crap on shore..

all those temp agencies in my area are jokes...manpower,labor-ready and everytime i go in to one of these places it seems to be some slob just chillin on the phone handin out apps then when u get they say "within a week u'll hear from us" but really u dont hear nada....not goin that route anymore.... i just do walk-ins now if i put in a app.

Of all the suggestions you've been given on this thread, the Labor Ready/temping route is the LEAST different from your life now, I'll bet- you've already tried those. You want big changes, you gotta take a BIG leap and get out of your comfort (or discomfort as it were) zone and really shake up your lifestyle.

As far as my Navy advice.. I joined when I was 19 and had been TOTALLY against the military (I had to register for the draft towards the end of the Vietnam era). One day after working in dead end jobs for too long, I decided to drive to the recruiters office. 2 weeks later I was on a train headed to boot camp... Fact is, in your current location (I'm guessing somewhere in the San Joaquin Valley) and situation, your options are extremely limited as far as really making a change. Once you get your brain around all of this, you won't regret taking the step.. A 4 year commitment is a drop in the bucket compared to what you'll potentially gain in terms of putting yourself in a place to be successful in life.

Think about it.. There seems to be at least a couple of folks here rooting for you!

There is a company- Google it- in Atlanta called International Catastrophe Solutions. It started as a tiny family carpet cleaning business. Seriously... go to their website and see what they do NOW, lol... if you have the drive and the brains, you can take a maintenance business a LONG way. But never let yourself get distracted. If you are self-employed, it's on YOUR shoulders to be sales, management, bookkeeping, human resources (yup- you don't have anyone threatening to fire you for coming in hung over; you just CAN'T DO IT) and labor. Owning your own business is rewarding IF you bust ass and keep your goal in mind.

The two things you will want to look into first are getting a tax ID for your business so you can do your books up right, and I think you can just go talk to the town clerk about that. At least he will point you in the right direction.
The other one is you will need insurance in case of any mishaps. I can't imagine that insuring a power washing business with only one employee would cost too much. You could call an insurance company for a quote.

Has far has finding a job there is these personal serivces that will help you find a damn good job.I payed 150$ and was sceptical about it until I got a job making $12.50 and I can back anytime for free and find another if I need it.

Has far has your mom,personaly,I look at my parents mistakes and learn them.I have a buddy who hates his mom and when she dies he is gona regret,I know parents don't do thing we like and may do screwed up shit but just learn from there mistakes.I know I did!
