Man with hashish in stomach dies

So, here's an article I just read about a guy that died from a hash OD. Guess it is possible although I wouldn't recommend this as a proper method for consumption.....

I don't think he OD'd in the same way one would OD if they were smuggling a narcotic. He probably died from the very act of having almost two pounds of things that aren't digestable - which includes the condoms and a large amount of hash, which is not meant to be eaten. The article said he died from Septicaemia, which is bacteria, and liver failure.

The article was published by The Voice of Tazmania. Coincidently, I changed my avatar photo to a Tasmanian Devil yesterday, before reading about him.

I eat hash all the time (for medicinal purposes, not for smuggling) and have never died... :)

Also, that bacterial poisoning- he was coming home from Thailand... a place not known for its water quality! I am still rather skeptical that the hashish payed more than a supporting role in the factors leading to his death. I'd like to know what else they found in his system, and whether his liver was already compromised by a history of alcohol/drug use, because you KNOW that now someone is going to get a hold of this story and say 'see! Pot can KILL you! Don't do drugs!'.

I believe it. You can die from too much of anything, water, salt, aspirin. Why does everyone think THC is exempt? It's a CNS depressant.

Damn right... I LOVE going on flighs while extremely medicated on edibles... the airport and everything is just a fuckin trip...then you relax in your seat and kick back, listen to music, get served some food that would seem shitty if you weren't so baked, and maybe watch a movie or something... I've had some awesome experiences going all over the world doing this...

oh, and over a pound and a half of shish, god damn... I wonder how high he was when he died...

I'm not a doctor but doesn't it need to be smoked or extracted into something in order to get the "intoxicating" effect? I mean he ate a substantial amount of solids inside of a condom which mean's its probably not going to digest very well if at all. Anyway I know this to be true about pot but I don't know that much about hash so correct me if I'm wrong.

first of all, hash is a cannabis extraction. second, it is better to cook it into something if orally ingesting, but I know from experience eating enough straight hash will send you into another world...

Did anyone think that 900 grams of solid ass hash in condoms in his intestines might have just ruptured part of his lower/upper intestines, causing blood toxicity?


Sure he'd be high as fuck off hash, but he'd probably puke and shit it out before dying. Which is why I think there was a rupture in his G/I tract.
