Thanks for the great guide. I've never done a soil grow myself. I know you aren't doing a hydro grow, but i figure PH levels for MJ in soil or hydro should be about the same. I found this chart that shows what nutrients are taken up at the different ph levels.

Not sure if it will help or not. Good luck.
actually the ideal dro is 5.8-6.8 and soil is 6.5-7. ya got a bit of differance there. remember, each tenth is doubling the acidity...so .1 can really fuck with your plants....trust me...lol

I have been looking over your pic's. They really look great! I have been looking at some LED lights [url removed by moderation staff] I know you are sold on the ones you used and I am really happy to see someone take the time and money to prove that LED light is still Light.
These guys at Ultra have also a really bright light, 25" X 22" 484 LED's and even have a few UV's ( not many, just enough) and they have been having good news about their lights.
Just thiought you would like to know, and again great job on your project.:thumbsup:
No you haven't, stop fronting like you're just another grower- you're here to spam your product. This is the third FORMAL infraction for spamming. Others have just been deleted. If you want to buy advertising space, see site admin. But this is against site rules.Quote:

Time for another re-cap I guess. This is an LED GROW thread. not a LED lighting thread..there is another thread for that. please direct stuff not pertaining to our grow there...
brian...slow down on pumping those at us...your first 3 posts in here are selling lights...say hi, comment on my grow, dont jump in someones thread pumping products....:spamsign:
wouldn't hurt to checkout the forum rules either. those are low power LEDs too....nothing like the procyon.
thanks WH!!!! can't wait to smoke em, even though they are a lil early and un-flushed...

To Physicsnole, I have read with great interest your posts in this thread as well as in the LED "theory" / build discussion. Great research and insight.
I have been looking into the LED area for some time. So far, I have rejected the generic array's of low power LED from China. I was encouraged by the LED UFO grow trial done by high times mag. Almost as good a result as the 400HPS, but not quite...
Now I have been following the grow by SNS using the procyon's. great progress.
I think the Procyon's are the best grow I have seen published so far for herb using LED.
However, I think you are definitely on the right track when you are looking into additional supplemental wavelengths. especially and including the 660nm.
So, a question. Are you planning on getting into the business of building LED grow lights? Or are you only doing the research for your own home built grow??
I would be very interested in lights like you describe with all the mix of lambda's.
Also, I have found one other LED light supplier out there that I wonder if you have checked out: Theoreme Innovation in Quebec canada. From what I can tell, their lamps have more light out than the Procyon's and are equivalent to a 600watt HPS (their claim.. but the claim is verified by Agriculture Canada with a grow of lettuce and tomatoes). From digging into them, it appears their fixture is a bit more powerful than the Procyon, AND it looks like they are using several wavelengths in their design. More than just the red and blue combo used. It also looks like they are using high power LED. I have NOT been able to determine if they are using 1watt devices, or 3 watt devices or which brand or brands. But it looks like they have more LED bulbs and a wider frequency coverage.
Have you checked them out? Anyone on this thread looked into them. NOTE: I am not a spammer and do not work for the company. I am only looking to find the best solution for my needs and am looking for any feedback comparing the procyon's to the ones from Theoreme Innovation.
Or, better yet, I could buy some lamps ready made from Physicsnole!
bubbabubba
welcome bubba,
myself or physics will glady answer you questions on the lighting in the theory thread...i will answer yours from this post over there...please keep questions about LEDs in general in that thread...thats why physics made that one, so this thread can be specifically for the grow...
thanks and welcome to cannabis.com!

Guys- Please read the sticky about threadjacking grow logs. It makes the actual log really hard to follow. I'm moving all the extraneous stuff into this thread. Thanks.

done. the numbering is different now. i didn't take down the one you had listed as 944 because that is a recent shot of the buds pre-harvest.
Hi everyone,
I just became a member here a few days ago and this is my first post. Great work with the thread SnSstealth! I'm very impressed and was curious how the Procyon 100 would do with growing weed. Since reading this thread I've gotten interested in buying and LED light myself, but it's a bit more expensive than the Procyon. I want to buy the TI Smartlamp 600, it's 300 Watts and supposed to be equivalent to a 600 Watt HPS. You can find more information about it at
Theoreme Innovation Inc. / TI SmartLamp
The only problem is that they are selling it for 1,400$ but I was able to talk them down to 980$ (wholesale price) if I buy two or more. I was able to do this because they just recently started selling the light and still don't have any retailers. I told them that most people won't be willing to fork over that type of money, unless they are 100% sure that their light rocks. I also told them that I post on various growing sites, which is true, and that I'd be willing to record how my grow goes. The only catch is that I have to buy two of them, or talk someone else into buying one with me. I'm sure it would be fine if we just ordered it on the same day, and I told them that I talked someone else into buying one also and could give them the name(hopefully that would work). I would also be willing to buy two myself and then sell the other one to somebody here.
One more thing, the sales rep told me that they have a "probloom feature" on the light, that you should get if you grow hydroponically and want big buds and flowers. I'll have to ask her how exactly that works, or is supposed to work...probably just more red LEDs.
Hope to hear from someone...
Do you guys think that if I bought a few I could sell them on ebay for 1,000. Think anyone would buy it? I wouldn't open the boxes or anything...
1051, 1052...looks like we are becoming a light sales thread again....lol

Done. BigBong1411, you should read the forum posting rules again. This is NOT a sales site and we never allow business deals here. Thanks.
