Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Welcome my happy weed smoking friends to my outdoor grow 2008...
This will be a great year for all of us, i hope....i gonna upload tons of pix, gonna try to share my experience and my knowledge of more than 10 years of outdoor growing....this is what i know and love, not the indoor growing(which is also a great fun)....
I have multiple spots, where i gonna grow our beloved plant...
This years strain is TH seeds The HOG X Herbaria's Shiva's Joy...both are indicas...These seed have been crossed here locally, so they are acclimatized to this region...
I'm hoping to get other seeds too, but it's not 100%...
We have real warm summers, so it will be a difficult thing to water the plants...hoping for rain too, but it's more likely that it will have a drought...
I'm gonna upload the first pix soon...
So, let the games begin....:hippy:

YESS!!! This will be excellent for me because this summer will be my first guerrilla grow! :D

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Criminy, it's darn nasty, wintery today. My new 120 gallon composter blew away and got pretty busted up. I can't wait to grow outdoors, though it appears that Spring may never get here. Right from Winter to Summer again. Well, at least I can get some new ideas here I'll be able to put them to use this season.
So, let's go!

Thinking of doing the same. Lost of places around here. Zeb, what do you think about putting 1 in a 10 gal bucket painted like tree bark and lifted to the top of a big tree and left in the canopy? access is a problem due to having to climb a tree but I could check it a few times. Just a though. figured 10 gal for a mostly sativa would be enough

Well it's a good idea, but it won't work...the problem is that in summer the soil in the bucket gonna get dry real fast...and to climb a tree every 1-2 day's is not good, plus the water is heavy too...
Other thing is when its warm, the roots get cooked easily when sun shines on the bucket....it's more easy to simply put the plants in th ground....
Shov...sorry to hear about your composter....we have gr8 weather here atlast, everything is flowering, birds are singing...i love it....

I see what you mean. Climbing an oak tree all summer is not my idea of a good time although I do like to climb trees from time to time, just not with buckets of water. The weather is warm here too and i doubt we will have a frost again. How many times should you visit your plant? I have about 200 seeds from a hermied plant I got. Is it true that a large % of those are in fact female? I guess I would need to check them later to get rid of the males.

Zeb,
10 years experience, now I know who to ask questions:)
First one- Is it true when starting and veging a plant indoors under 24/0 and do an entire veg. Then place the plant outdoors any time of the season it will start flowering immediately therefore making possiable multiple harvests thru out the season?
I have read about this and I am planning to use this therory this summer.

Well i don't know if this would work Jerry...i only heard that if you put a flowering plant out in spring it won't reveg, and you can harvest it before summer, but i never seen anybody actually try this method, nor did i tried any of these methods myself...
I don't believe that a 24/0 veg plant would start to flower when you put it out, i think it would start to flower only in the end of summer...but you can never know until you try it, maybe it could work...
About that 10 years...well yeah i started to grow back in 97, but you shouldn't think that i know it all....i really have a lot to learn, and i often forget good old methods and useful things, and rediscover them later...but if you or anyone has a question i will try to help...
JeffersonBud....you should visit as often as you can....i usually visit my plant 1-2 times a week...watering is very important...and during harvest time i like to check my plant more often if they are ripe, or is there any sign of mold....

So the The HOG X Shiva's joy seed are looking good...10 from 10 have germinated...i got a name for this strain ...it's called Buffalo Tooth....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Nice! Good luck already (knock on wood). How tall do those suckers get.
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Thanks for your insite on my question.
Well I still figur I will give it a go and just keep placing cloans all over the countryside this summer and see what happens. I will start a log soon on my experience's.
Looks like my first ones will go out in mid May and if they don't start flowering they are going to be giants by October.

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Zeb I'm excited for this grow :)
Have you grown outdoor before?
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
JeffersonBud....i don't know how tall they gonna get...because this is a cross of two strains, i think there gonna be many phenotypes...i hope they gonna get BIG...we shall see...
Good luck Jerry whit your grow, i hope we gonna see many pix.... but remember to prepare the soil before you plant out your cloans...outdoor growing is all about good prepared soil, watering, sunlight and luck:wtf:....
Hey b0n3ZA nice to see you m8.. yes i have grown outdoors, and i hope this year will be the best so far....
So here are the first pix of my li'l BT's...
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Yayy! It's also so beautiful to see the little babies sprouting! :)
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
oh dang. I know this is going to be good!
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Some pix...my little BT's seem to feel good, growing nicely...
I realized recently that i never had pure indica plants, just hybrids and sativas. The truth is i am not that big indica fan, but i hope this gonna change. So this will be kind of a new experience, i'm real exited how they gonna look, smell , taste...the breeder of the BT said that it's an uniform strain...
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
The plants are 20 days old, i have transplanted them into bigger pots 5 days ago...
I think they are almost ready, gonna start to plant them out soon...
We had lots of rain recently, so i couldn't go out because of the mud, that why i'm little behind whit the work, but so far i have 3-3 holes prepared....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Here are the first pix of the plants in nature....i have planted out 8 of them, 1 week ago...2 have been already eaten....but it's no problem, i have other plants in reserve....
I wanted to water my plants today, but i found a dead deer (Capreolus capreolus) in the water....have to get water from elsewhere...it was disgusting, so i took a pic of it...
In the last pic you can see one of the worst enemy of a ganja grower...The European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)....this one was a very tame individual....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
plants are happy there it seems.
we are almost ready to plant., I've been sowing seeds by the hundreds everywhere I go. I've been ridding myself of old stashes of seeds, (none older than three years).
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
looks like karma did that deer in for eating your plants :D:D
what you are doing for deer repellent?
looks good zeb, i will be following

There is not much i can do, don't want to use any repellent chemicals, so i think i gonna hang a few stinky socks around the plants, so they can smell the angry human, and run away...:D
The truth is that i can do what i want, but if the deer wants eat the plant, nothing can stop it...my personal favorite is when they antler starts to throw its skin and they rub it nicely in the flowering plants the ease the itching.....love it...
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
The plants look nice and happy, i gave them some grow nutes...
It's a pita to visit the plants, the whole area has become a jungle, huge swarms of mosquito's and ticks everywhere...
But at least they are safe, i think....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
looking good zeb. Glad to hear you got them in the ground, too bad you lost a few to nature but at least it was the animals and not humans who did the destruction.
are they getting enough sun in the last pics? looks a lil overgrown.
you could try "peeing" near you plants as a deer repellent but I dont know much about deer or repelling them, so thats just a guess. Im jealous of your outdoor wildlife, all I got to look at are lizards, bugs, and birds.
stay irie

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Hey thanks m8....
Yes the plants are a bit stretching due to the fact that it is a area whit trees and bushes, and when i prepared the holes it was winter/spring, and i didn't thought that the trees will grow so much, so the area became more shady...but i think they will be alright if they get bigger...
And thanks for the "peeing" tip, i used it before, it seems to work...only problem is that you need a lot of pee for 6 plants...:D

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
zebulon, thanks for all of those incredible pictures! As much as I enjoy pictures of buds, your pictures of nature and your surroundings are outstanding! They help me to slow down a bit in life and allow a bit of stress to slip away! You have a true photographer's eye, and I look forward to your future nature pictures, along with following the progress of your outdoor grow!
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Hey, thanks Jakezking.....It's so nice to get some compliments, i'm really happy that you like my pix....I really love nature, it has so many beautiful sides, but sadly many people don't seem to interested in it, or they don't have/take the time to stop and watch....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
zeb, I am happy to provide compliments where they are deserved. I too love nature - I think most stoners do, as we naturally tend to veg out watching the Discovery channel, eh? Life is always hectic at work, so it's nice to finally slow down, and there is something about literally and figuratively stopping to smell the roses that helps keep my blood pressure in check. Your photo of the cloud formation is outstanding! It is a wicked looking thunderstorm brewing, eh - a guess from the pure height of the clouds.
Your family's beehives are awesome too. I read somewhere, sometime about declining bee populations - definitely here in the U.S.A. It seems like it was attributable to some disease? I was wondering if you had any insight/knowledge of such? What would the world come to without bees? I had not seen a honeybee for a long time, but here recently have seen a couple flying around my pool. I was wondering if the bee was interested in my poolside plant - hehehe.
Keep up the outstanding grow work, my friend, and please keep posting your photos!
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Hey, thanks again....
Yeah, we had a big thunderstorm yesterday, and today, it was raining too, so the plants had a nice drink, and are quite happy right now, i think...
We had/have this declining bee populations thing too here in Europe....sometimes whole regions are struck by it....it's a very sad thing...I heard something like, if all the bee would be gone, it would only take a few years and most of the plants would get extinct....
Here are some more pix if you like em....i took these yesterday....taking pix is a little hobby of mine, i have some experience in it, and it is also a great "alibi" if growing weed outside....someone asks what i'm doing in the bushes, i can tell i'm a hobby photographer....
I hope Stinky not gonna kick my ass for uploading non cannabis related pix....
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
I wanna live there.looks beautiful there. if that were my own land I'd probly have a bunch of weed trees scattered around the field.
I am also a hobby photographer. I might just have to up load some of my pix to my outdoor log also.
well have a good toke and a great afternoon.
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Hey Hydro, thanks m8....well that is in fact kind of my land, if i had the money i could use it and grow something....It would be cool to grow some corn next year, and put a bunch of weed in the middle of the field...or industrial hemp...no one would ever notice some "real" plants...and if i would choose a later flowering strain, it wouldn't even get seedy....but that is a lot of money, which i don't have...
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Those rabbits and deer are fine and dandy until they start to eat your grow! HA! Again, you have shared some darn fine photos, my friend. The field photos are my favorite - the first 2. I just caught myself staring off into them. Looks like you could grow some mighty fun bud around your spot - I can see why you are primarily an outdoor grower, eh? Thanks again for sharing some photos of your grow area!

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Some pix and update.....
Things look bad...out of 6 plants, 3 became males...and 1 got eaten again...:(
Luckily the 2 biggest plants are moms, they look nice, and it's only just June....
I gonna plant out the remaining ones really soon, i hope those will be alright....

stupid question time Zeb, how come you don't plant rooted clones only? then you wouldn't have the guessing game wondering whether they're female or not, they'd all be female.
btw, beautiful country you live in man, and i don't think you need to worry about Stinky, she loves nature too much herself, lol
anyway, good luck, hopefully the predators (rabbits) don't take too heavy a toll

Hey Bozo, thanks.....
Clones?? Well the truth is i was thinking about that, but i only received my seeds not long ago, so i don't had the time....also i don't have the space to make moms, and root clones....and the last one, i simply don't like clones too much....i always used seeds, never had problems...in fact i'm happy that there are some males, so i can do some breeding....
The other plants, the 2 Trainwrecks, 1 BigBang and 1 Power Plant are all femmed....gonna put them out this week, whit 4 other HOG X Shiva's...i gonna try what you suggested maybe next year...
-
Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
yes Zeb i have read your CLF grow more then once so i dont mess anything up. and as far as your Mazar plants..... you have me inspired to grow all thoes seeds! but im not...yet.

Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
:woohoo:
I'm so happy right now....I found a new spot for my plants, and it's absolutely UNBELIEVABLE....
It's a quite large area, which looks like a jungle form outside....because :D a few years ago it was dumped full whit manure, and not all has been taken away....piles of manure where left behind, which has decomposed over the years, and now it looks like the best potting soil you can buy for money....pix tomorrow....:hippy:
