i drink mad coffee.
seems like the caffiene would help burn stuff, but the dehydration would work against me.

Don't forget "coffee" isn't just caffiene. It has other ingredients as well. That is part of the problem with drug companies and many scientists now of days. They always look at some sort of "magic ingrediant" and isolate it then wonder why it doesn't work as expected.
All natural chemicals work in tandam with each other to create whatever effects the natural plant or seed (etc.) has. As an example, just as Thujone in Absinthe is supposed to be just the wormwood. Herbs don't work that way. It is a combination of herbs that create the effect Absinthe has. Not just the wormwood. The same can be said for cannibas, tobacco, etc. etc. etc.
So, when you drink coffee you are getting more than just the caffiene.
I am not trying to rant here, but as an herbalist, the drug companies have been trying to brain washed the public (and has mostly succeeded) in saying "one" ingredient is what is needed and that THEY have isolated it and it works. Then later we ALWAYS find out different. Why? Well, the all might dollar and, at least here in the U.S., a bought FDA and all government in general. No, I am not going off the deep end. I am being realistic. It's all relative.
Now with that out of the way, let me say that just about anything is just fine for you (I'm generalizing here folks), depending upon your own (and I must point out) - individual- body chemistry. That is why a drug will work for someone and not someone else or the effects are different from person to person. Every single drug and herb on this planet works this way.
Anything you take is just fine as long as it is done in moderation for your body. This is your responsibility to know what is and what isn't. Not the governements or the drug companies.
Moderation is the key. Some people can drink loads of coffee without hardly any effects where the same amount may send another person reeling.
If you like coffee and it works for you, try to a glass of water with your coffee. I love coffee and drink a lot of it. I know that as much as I drink isn't exactly "good" for me, but when I go out to eat and I get coffee that just isn't right, I drink a glass of water with it and I try to know my limits. If not, my body will tell me that I've had enough. If I choose not to listen then it is my own fault that I end up feeling the wrath.

No.. coffee will not slow down the detox process or clean u out. Abstinence is the only proven way to get your body clean. With that being said there are ways to speed up the process. For instance, Exercise, high fiber diets, and keeping your body well hydrated will help to speed up your detox processs. Metamucil is a good source of fiber and cardio seems to be the best source of exercise.
If you are going to be tested soon read the dilution and substitution stickies. If u dont have much time and are a chronic smoker, then substitution may be your only help. Quick Fix is 100% effective if u get the temperature right. Do an advanced search on this sight under the name Fakeboobsrule, he is the master and has alot of great info that may help u. i been 45 days clean. prior to that i had a daily habbit forever. im 5'9", 180lbs, and have been doin some cardio recently, jogged on the spot maybe 5 or 6 times. not sure what has a high fiber content... does the metamucial thing have to be over a long time, or can i load up for a weekend with some results?
i know exercise is bad the 48hrs leading up to the test... is metamucil the same way? or do i want to hit the fiber had right up to the test?
I wouldn't hit it hard... just take a little more than the recommended dosage. I use the powder mixture and they only recommend 1 tablespoon three times per day max. I think that would be plenty and overloading may cause may cause u some discomfort. U say u are 45 days clean... i would get a home test and see if u are clean. Ebay has test strips for cheap or u can get one at Walgreen's or Walmart. U may be okay but the only way to know is to test yourself.:thumbsup:

Killer.. u got any input on this one? I havent ever ordered them off fleabay before. As for the metamucil... it cant hurt to take it right up to the day of the test. Do u have a Walmart? Thats the next best place to find one.
ya we got walgreens. but i sent in my ap, so im either gettin tested or im not, its too late to back out. im just gonna exercise a few more times before saturday night, a spoonful of metamucil twice a day, and try to be ready tuesday morning in case i get tested.
Just be sure to follow the dilution method the morning of the test. If u can substitute Gatorade for water and use your midstream piss for the cup. Good luck dude i hope it all works out for you.:jointsmile:

I wouldnt stress about it, fifty days clean is alot of time. Just follow the dilution method and do half the recommended intake. Make sure u dont use the first void of the day. I think your gonna be just fine but its always better to be safe than sorry. Stay calm and your golden.. Good luck:thumbsup:
thanks man... i cant wait till this is over. the earliest the test might be is tuesday, which will be day#51. i know my chances are good. but like you say, better safe than sorry, so im exercising and taking metamucil (just started exercising a week ago, and metamucil couple days ago). im gonna exercise couple more times today, and some more tomorrow, and try not to eat. i figure i can burn up a couple pounds of dirty fat by doing this, and then starting tomorrow night i will stop exercising, and start eating to bury the dirty fat. i will continue with the metamucil until the test.
im also worried about cotinine (nicotine metabolite), cuz its for life insurance. i had a cig last night thinking that its gone in 3 days, but i researched it this mornign and see that i might be wrong!
wth me being in the financial industry, and working with my family,i dont want our firm or my parents to know what im into after hours! nor do i want to pay smoker premiums.
