New Pipe.. but a little confusedd

So i just got a new pipe ( my first one)
and it came with a tiny glass piece
im not sure what its for
can anyone help!??

does it have like 3 or more sides that stick out. cause some ppl use a little piece of glass to put in a bowl so u dont suck in any weed. its basically a glass screen

the lil glass piece is kinda a weird shape

sick pipe by the way. yea if its what i think it is im sure u but it in your bowl then pack ur weed then toke. it keeps weed from getting sucked in so u can grind ur weed up and u dont have to worry about butting a nub at the bottom to cover the hole

i agree with the glass screen thing, and it does help to keep ash out of you mouth somewhat, but having tried metal and glass screens i prefer metal, cause while the glass screen works there is still considerable space where weed could fall throug, plus they are more expensive than metal ones, and its really easy to lose them if your not paying attention, i lose them all the time this way. But for free id use it till it got lost.
