Yes... it looks much like copper... anyway, i think there is no problem is smoking weed with it. The temperature reached inside a pipe is not enough for vaporizing (or even melting) copper, so there is not any possibility of "poisoning" by it.
dude, honestly? I would be afraid. What is that a pic of the birds eye view of the bowl?
It could be "recycled" copper pipe, which is the easiest pipe to come across. You could bulldoze ANYTHING and find tons of it. We're talking about Belize here, I wouldnt put it past someone. Even though it has a little value being copper, its cheaper than Steel (china is buying lots of steel pipe right now driving up the price) and PVC (which is made out of petroleum and will obviously melt anyways.
It could be galvanized as well, which is Steel pipe dipped in Zinc so it wont rust. And zinc is in Cold Eaze and Zycam, so it sounds good for you, but is not.
I work in the Pipe industry, which means I didnt go to college.
Thats my knowledge about pipes. The end.
Recycled copper pipe is also apt to have traces of solder on it, which is a soft metal (usually lead or tin- in Belize, I'm gonna go with lead since it's the old-school solder, cheap, and easier to work with).
Looks like a conversation piece... cool, but be cautious and smoke out of something you know to be safe.
Crivvens. Ah didnae ken that.
Does this mean it is better to use the stainless steel pipe screens than the brass ones?
Smoke a brass pipe in holland and everyone thinks you are a crack head. In fact smoke a wooden pipe they even think that. Brass is made of copper though, I'm sure i have heard people say the stainless steel gauzes are better for you.
I work in a metalworks factory so I'm breathing in metal dust particles every day, I doubt it really makes much difference to me either way.
Well... maybe my question is a stupid one, but what is the matter with metal pipes? From what i know, most metals (except tin, and maybe lead) has a melting point greater than the temperatures reached inside a pipe, and a boiling point FAR greater. So, inhaling metal vapours would be impossible, and i think no one would inhale molten metal... then what is the matter with it? Could someone explain me please?
*eats a Chewy Chips Ahoy! and scratches head*
Well first of all, metal pipes are shit, wood is better.Quote:

There is no possible way you can melt metal with a lighter within normal use (as in our use of such metals). paper and wood (and bud) begins to burn at 451 degrees F while tin and copper, the metals used to make brass need a constant flame of a minimum of 1800 degrees F.
The heat of a normal lighter is enough to make copper release a toxic gas.
Are you sure? Which gas?Quote:
