Growing to get seeds?

If I grew my plants just to get seeds, would I be able to set up my own online shop and sell my own breed?

Like if I had a lowryder x afghan?

First you need a product.

Unstabilized f1 hybrids are nearly value-less if you don't posses a fantastic breeding pair. Stabilizing a strain takes approximately 4 years indoors if you know what you are doing.

F1 hybrids that include an autoflowering strain ARE completely valueless, as you cannot guarantee the %occurrence of the autoflowering trait. These are not a good choice for a new breeder to work with.

I suggest if you are very interested in breeding, do a lot of research and start off with the finest examples you can afford of the most stable strains you can find, that you feel would make a good hybrid. You will need to dedicate enough space to this project to grow out and test, at minimum, 100 individuals of each generation to select your next plants to breed.

I've been breeding on a very small scale for ~3 years now and do it solely for my own enjoyment, and to give high quality genetics to friends who do not want to risk ordering seeds. I still don't feel I have a product worthy of selling, really. It might be perfectly lovely, but it's not stable enough to call a strain yet.

I strongly recommend finding yourself a copy of Greg Green's breeding book.

As for an online shop, I am not personally aware of any breeders who have their own shop, for the obvious traceability reasons. Instead, aspiring breeders typically start by sending free beans to a major seedbank to be added to orders as 'freebies' and let the buzz from those be advertising. If the freebies have a positive response, the next step might be to put some up for auction on a service such as breedbay, seedbay, or cbay.

if i have two plants from same strain and they have seeds will it still be just as good as the seeds i bought from the seed bank? stinky?

Depends.
Is the strain a true IBL, or is it an F1 hybrid?
If it is an inbred line, your seeds will be as good or so near to the seeds you bought that it is basically the same plant. The seedbank will obviously be using very good individuals to make their crosses.
If it is an F1 hybrid, in your 'F2' generation you will see phenotypic variation that will be more noticeable based upon how similar in traits the 2 parents were.

the seeds i have are a indica/sativa strain called caramelicious from amsterdammarijuanaseeds here is the link Buy Caramelicious marijuana cannabis seeds from Holland. as you can see they are somewhat expensive and i dont want to spend an arm and a leg for 10 seeds again, and what about if i self the plant, that is sure to give me good seeds except it will be more likely to herm but the same quality right?

Well, read the above post and answer the question as to whether Caramelicious is F1 hybrid or stable.

If you self the plant by forcing a herm, you will get all feminized seeds but again, if the line is not stable, you may see variation among them.
If you do a cross using a male from the same packet, you may or may not see variation, depending again on how stable it is.
I'm not familiar with the background of that strain, although I HAVE seen it in person (grown by this creepy dude I almost dated- then I realized his manners were shall we say lacking...) and it is a handsome plant with large, thick leaves and strong stems.

Seriously, I have given you all the info I can based on what you have told me. Gotta go do some research now. Google the name of the strain and see what comes up.

ok well i found out it is a hybrid so i guess the seeds wont be as good? why is this? to me i would think if you sself the plant it should have identical genetics

i wouldnt advise selling seeds unless they are incredibly unique from thier parent plants, and in no way violates any form of trademarks.

best of selling/gifting them to friends, and using em to grow your next batch. (plant 2X as many plants as you can flower at once, and then take only the creme d' la creme of females to 12/12)

im sure that was directed at minidude as i have no intention of selling the seeds they are for personal use, i spent $110 on 10 seeds and i dont exactly want to spent that much again if i dont have to
