I NEVER though I would see this. - My plant is growing too fast. - Or, my roots aren't growing fast enough.
An aggressive regimen of Wet Betty and Growth Excel has made one plant out-grow it's own roots. These plants are 19 days old.
You can see from the first picture that it is my *suspected* Granddaddy Purple plant - the last one on the right. Picture 2 is of one of the other 3 "normal" ones - taken at the same time. *Keep this in mind, look at how healthy the plant in pic. 2 is.*
This is the catch - it is 100% for sure not over/underwatered. It was watered LAST NIGHT. You can see how moist the soil still is. It is not over watered either. How do I know? Look at picture #2. The last plant was all perked up, just as much, this morning. And NO, I don't have a picture. You have to take my word for it. Same amount of water, same time, same pH, same everything. These plants have all received the exact same amount of care.
Some will say, "The Granddaddy may just normally grow like that!" - But no, I have witnessed a good friend raise a GDP from clone to harvest. That clone never showed any of these massive leaves that couldn't be held up a day after watering; nothing close. I think I have over-grown the top of the plant with foliar feeding, and should stop - with this plant at least, until it can support itself again.

A plant can't "outgrow" its roots..
The size of the plant is directly proportionate to the size of the root mass...

Could be root rot.
Punch extra holes in the sides of that pot for improved drainage/air flow and monitor what times of day you see wilt. Does placing a dome over the plant cause it to perk back up again?
You MUST let the soil become rather dry between waterings or you will see wilt symptoms from not enough oxygen getting to the root zone.
Edit: That last plant actually doesn't look sick to me. Is it FLOPPY (doesn't look it) or just have a general shape that makes you think it's wilted?

only thing looks weird to me is the same problem i had. the leaves are HUGE and the bud sites are sprouting so close to one another.....
i had the same issue and attributed it to over feeding. rather than nutrient burn, the plants are so healthy, that they are overgrowing what the main stalk can hold up.
even though my plants are only 8-12 inches tall, the diameter of the leave spread is almost 2 feet. the fan leave are HUGE (much bigger than yours) and ive considered pruning them to allow more light to pass through. i just transplanted to final pots, fim'd and will most likely begin flower at the end of next week. took me a while to get my light cycle together at the begining, and i finally got foxfarm nutes and some black gold soil (at a place more than 2 hours from me) but im finally starting to see some real results.
once i figure out how to post pics, and become less paranoid, ill start a log.....

In a case of overfeeding, a couple of things happen.
In the case of a nitrogen overdose, the leaves will appear unusually dark green while the growing tip will appear unusually lush.
In the case of a general nutrient overdose, the tips of the blades will become scorched and brown.

thats what happend to me.....
the lush growth at the very top. it seems like theres hardly and space before the next set of shoots are starting, i feel like she's just gonna drown herself out with nw growth up there.
luckily it also time for fim/topping so i was able to get a really nice fim in there. im hoping that because all the new growth was soooo close, that my one pinch will produce 4 or (dare i say) more new main stalks.....
im also experiencing that very dark green color on the lower fan leaves, which are f-ing HUGE!!!!!
i mostly attribute it to my overzealous application of the *gasp*
miracle-grow
which i did before i could get my hands on the FF series lineup.
what im doing to resolve the issue is this. last night was a transplant night so after the transplant i watered the soil and
the plants with a 15ml/gallon solution of growbig. tomorrow ill flush them hard with straight h2o and then 2 days later ill feed them again and keep feeding..........
after reading that back, im realizing myself that i have put these under alot of stress lately. ie: the past 24 hours. but i think that because they are sooooo strong, it should be alright.

my GDP that I harvested last night has had Big-ass leaves since I've had it since clone to harvest. You can say what you want and believe what you want. If you believe that your foliar feedings are causing this, go ahead and stop and wait, see what happens

I wouldn't worry about how big it's getting...a happy plant up top means happy roots down below...they look healthy and happy..let em grow nice and big quick, it'll only save you time ultimately:thumbsup:

This picture was just taken, and the plant hasn't been watered or anything since I posted last night, just left alone.
It did the same thing yesterday morning, like I said, and then proceeded to lose all turgidity by the evening. -This is why I put the thread in Advanced- I did not believe that this was a problem with "oxygen to the roots" because my soil consistency is spot-on, look at the other plants, same soil density. (Hell, I even added Perlite to my Fox Farms this time)

Floppy! Exactly, it seems like the plant loses all turgidity. Not wilted. Chinacat knows what I'm talking about, the plant seems like it is out-growing itself. :D

Big, wide leaves, yes. Losing turgidity a day after watering? Maybe not. I'm not gonna stop foliar now that it has perked back up again today, only if it doesn't regain it's turgidity.

I think the leaves are just at that point where they're heavy enough to droop more than perk. It's not a bad thing, it just looks weird because the plants are that tall.. I think you're just overthinking it to be honest.. Those don't look unhappy one bit.

Norkali I was thinking of trying to foiliar feed on a couple of my plants but have never done it. How does ur foliar watering schedule go, once a d day, once every other?? And does this effect the routine u water and feed normanlly??
Also i was looking at my Grobig bottle and it had amounts to use for foliar feeding. do u think growbig would work for foliar?
