Just came on the news now, massive fire in the heart of Camden, where there are lots of pubs ands clubs, it's in the famous camden market which is being "modernised". Reports of a bang from the TV. Looks like a pretty big fire they've basically closed down everything and blocked the roads. No news on the cause as yet.

This happened in the town where I live 2 weeks ago, someone set a 3 story building on fire, it was a pretty big blaze and the firefighters took half a day to put it out.
good way of getting it re-developed QUICKLY

Police reckon they know where it started, but they are not saying much, still investigating.

Damn, man... thats a sad thing to see... :( I hope everybody is ok...
But the most scary thing is, saturday morning (or friday i cant remember exactly) i dreamed about a great fire... and i awoke a bit worried, cause its not an usual thing for me to dream such things... and now i learn that at the same day (or the next day) it happened... well, of course everyday there is a lot of fires everywhere in the world... but i still think its an interesting coincidency... to say the least... :eek:
If you live in London or Camden, I'd be freaked out a little. Otherwise, it's probably just a coincidence.
I live in Brasil... some thousand miles away from London... so, really a coincidence is far more probable than anything else...

Sorry to hear this McLeod. It's really sad and even more so when its your home town. Mine got hit by a tornado last week and it took out every shop on main street.

Not my home town bluecat, but LIP lives there. It was one of the few parts of London I really liked though. This particular market was planned to be torn down and modernised and this wasn't going down well with some of the businesses there who felt they would be priced out of the new development to make way for more capitalist enterprises
I saw it on the news man, the flames are massive.. Think there was about 25 fire engines like lip said. Man thats gonna be a messy clean up operation..

I find it hard to believe it would have been deliberate, I mean it happened on saturday the busiest day of the market so it's more likely it was for example, maybe someone left the gas on by mistake in some fast food kitchen.
It was never the food I went to Camden for LOL
