Im not saying weed makes you smarter, but since I have started smoking (about once a week) my grades have actually improved a bit and I have been doing more of my homework (Im in all MAGNET classes, which are like AP for Freshmen and Sophmores, its above honors). Anyone else had a similar experience like this?
Sure you're understanding better and alot more motivated it's just that I dont want to go to stupid class. The 30 mile drive & walkathon with a 50lb backpack every day gets exhausting. Then again I'm a whiney bitch :D
To answer the question: Yes :) I did better in school on herb, not dramatically. My dam body just does'nt wanna go anywheres. :p
nah, sorry kan't say i like to mix the two. i don't like being high and working or thinking. kuz then that just fucks up the high
Its always nice to have a couple of small j's before work or school or swomething that requires thinkngi. I wouldnt recomend getting wrecked cos there are better places for it.
If you're in advanced placement classes, you're intelligent. I doubt the weed has anything to do with it to be honest. Especially just once a week. Very few people do better in school while high or whilst daydreaming of getting high. I hate to say this and sound like I'm stereotyping.. but I am.
How many true stoners ((the guys that are stoned as fuck everyday)) do you see when you look around in your smart-kid classes? I would imagine somewhere between 0 and 0.
Now what about how many social stoners ((like yourself)) do you see when you look around your smat-kid classes? Maybe.. 2-3 out of the entire class. At least, that's how it was for me. Then I went to 'bad-kid school' and almost every one of those kids smoked near every day. And they were stupid.
Marijuana doesn't kill brain-cells. But, that doesn't mean it won't fuck up your education like any other mind altering drug can.
And yes of course I realize video games and all the other dumb shit that has the exact same effects on schooling.
Just don't get to the point where you'd rather get stoned then do your homework. A hell of alot of people do.
nope my schooling went down the drain, wasnt really the weed more of jsut my lack of motivation o well im going to a diff school soon hopeuflly i will do fine there
i've found when i smoke i'm more likely to stay home and enjoy doing homework. also, when i'm high i read alot slower, but much more "in depth".....connecting ideas with others and exploring concepts more throughly. last semester my gpa was 3.3 and this semester i've not been able to smoke(probation) and have found it harder to sit still and study.

Unfortunately pot is so good at what it does you get like "who gives a fuck, I'm gonna get my gratification today any way when i spark up that bowl..."
DO GREAT IN SCHOOL GET A GREAT JOB.....AND BURN ON THE WEEKENDS MAYBE...

well, for tests i would not want to be high, or when i'm at school for that matter, but reading and studing is good.....i mean if you can remember it when your stoned then when the exam comes (and your sober) you'll defenatly remember it.

Anyway, since I've started smoking almost every day, my grades are MEEH. I'm failing my two math classes (I've told my mom that I'm failing Geometry because I don't want to try because I HATE that class, I'm actually doing OKAY in my Algebra class (I'm a Junior!!) right now because I've been doing homework.) I failed my U.S. History class because we had this field trip at the start of the semester, and I missed 2 big packets of worksheets (about 12 worksheets in all) and I never got over losing some of them. Forgot where I put them....^_^
In all my other classes I did C+ or better.
But, I have a lot of wasted talent. I'm known to almost everyone to be really smart, like coming into the class and not paying attention at all but getting at least a B on the test.
One last thing, if I had to make a very educated guess, I'd have to say about 85 or so percent of the student body smokes pot. I'm in a very smart school, but a very big druggie school.
We've had people who go to Harvard, and they smoked too.
My school career is sort of up and down. Lemme put it this way.
When I get a good grade, I "celebrate."
When I get a poor grade, I "comfort myself."
When I'm in between grades, I "pass the time."
I didnt mean i actually smoked at school...i actually only do that on the weekends..I was just saying somehow it made me a little less lazy?
I've been smoking tons of weed since senior year of high school (currently a sophomore in college), and since I got to college I've been smoking even more and yet got a 3.9 GPA during all three of my semesters so far. I really have no clue how I'm getting so many A's. Some of the grades I've gotten have just completely baffled me considering how much I've slacked off to toke up. I don't know what's going on but hey, it's working for me.
I get high everyday. Sometimes up to 7 times a day. I get straight A's and I'm involved in many other things. (DECA, SNOWBOARD TEAM, GUITAR), Stoner fucking pride.
I usually smoke once a week, but I've taken a break for the past two weeks... and my grades have gone down :(
Mind you, I've always believed that I've gotten dumber after smoking on weekends... now I'm kicking myself because my grade in Math has dropped 10 points, and I can't bring it up by the end of the quarter :(
my grades improved, since i started. i think it was mostly to keep my parents off my back, but i like to say weed was the cause ;).
my grades dropped a little when i started toking in school hours/regularly. I think it was also comibined with becoming more apathetic with age, and weed making me lazy.
My grades have stayed the same but gone up some since I smoked a lot.
mine have gone up a little bit and a smoke a gram a day at least

Some people just can't get both weed and school or activities into their schedule. So they pick weed or school, and the lucky ones that can do both EXCEL! LIKE ME! HAHAHAHAH
Yo I think what someguy is saying, is he doesn't go to school while high, being high doesnt make him work harder. He's just sayin that if he tokes up every once and a while, when he doesnt have work, he will be more relaxed another time, and be more focused. And he'll just have less on his mind.
A little fact i'd like to share with yall, my brother smokes weed everyday, he just got accepted into harvard, yale, and stanford.
