My nth attempt with green dragon

Well... so today i finished making some hash oil and decided use a bit of it to make some green dragon.
I mixed the amount of hash oil equivalent to 0.4-0.5g of weed with some alcohol until it dissolve, then mixed this alcohol with some fanta and with some effort (as i HATE alcohol/booze) drank it.
It was 20 minutes ago. The only effect i felt until now is that im feeling hot, almost sweating. The weather here is hot, but drinking alcohol did make me hotter inside. And the light seems a bit more shiny the usual.
As a note, today i only ate some 10 crackers... and its 2 AM, so i can say i pretty much fasted today. I hope it made the effects stronger, cause the last times i did make green dragon i felt it was an waste... a LOT of hash oil for a high i couldve gotten smoking far less hash oil... anyway... lets hope today will be different.
Later (or possibly tomorrow) i will report the results. There is a thunderstom somewhere near here (i only can see the flashes of lightning), and i hope it make my high far more exciting!

I just wanted to ask about the method you're using to make 'honey oil', how easy you find it to make, and long it lasts for etc?

I remember reading your posts in the threads regarding sub-lingual tinctures and the difficulty in getting the alcohol and glyicerin to mix together in a consistent emulsion, have you experimented again since then or do you have any thoughts on why they wouldn't blend evenly?

I read in a scientific journal about somebody working on a similar technique and they added small amounts of olive oil to help the two 'emulsify', but it only had a limited success.
I fancy giving this a try myself and hoped you might be able to give me some pointers.

Good luck with the 'green dragon' by the way, I'm hoping you get a good 'buzz' from it this time.

OK... here is the story:

After some 30 minutes i felt my face muscles becoming heavy, relaxed. It felt like my face were made of wax, and it were melting. I had to make some effort to smile, or to frown... so my face remained quite expressionless, as if i were sleeping. But note that this effect was very light, so please dont think i was crazy and hallucinating that my face was melting... its only an way to describe it. And my eyes went a bit numb, defocused, relaxed... as if i were looking to nothing, just staring...
This effects always were some of the first ones i felt when drinking g.d., so i felt a bit relieved, cause it meant the g.d. was working well.

Some minutes later i lay down on the floor, feeling VERY peaceful, sighing and smiling... my eyes felt heavy... and then i realized the time was slow already... i was listening a song, and the song went on and on and on without finishing... it was nice cause i could hear each instrument separately, and all of them together, and could percieve the harmonies between them...
At this point i was feeling extremely peaceful... everything in the world was OK and at peace... to be there laying down was the most confortable thing one could do...

Then i got that strange "wind"... i was lying and felt like i was moving very fast, so it seemed there was a wind against my face... or it felt like i was lying in the floor of an elevator that was going upwards, so i could feel myself forced against the floor... im sure you know what im talking about...
It was about 50 minutes after drinking it. From everything i felt, Im sure i was almost peaking then.

There was a bit of lightning outside, so i went to my porch to watch it. I sat there, in front of the window, and then felt like the window and the wall it is in were downside. How can i explain this? Imagine i was sitting in (glued to) the floor, looking to the window in front of me. Then imagine my home being rotated, so the floor and the ceiling were now vertical, and the window i was looking to were horizontal, and pointing downwards. Thats how i felt. I was looking to the window, and felt like it was "below" me, and i could almost swear that if i wanted i could lie down in the wall which had the window. I didnt actually tried it, but i was so sure i could i went afraid that i would actually do it, and die of fright for doing such "sobrenatural" thing...

After this surge of crazyness, i lay down on the floor of my porch, and as i looked to the ceiling it seemed now the ceiling was downside... like i were glued to the floor and my home were upside-down, so the ceiling was below me and i was looking at it from above. Every time i drink g.d. or smoke some strains of weed i feel this direction distortions...

It was about 1 hour after drinking it, and i started to feel sleepy. I remained there for about one hour, just staring to the ceiling, and thinking... during this one hour the high decreased noticeably, and then come back noticeably too. Its another thing i had noticed during other experiences with g.d. There is a "interval" in the high, when it goes weaker for some minutes, only enough for you to realize it and think "i think its gone", then it comes back.

Anyway, the second high wasnt as high as the first one. So i remained there, laying for more some hours, relaxed, buzzed and peaceful. Then after about 6 hours of drinking it, i ate and went to sleep.

The next day was very good also... The entire day i felt peaceful, zen... nothing could have pissed me that day... at the sunset i went to the market, and while walking to there i had a very strange feeling. Im very used to be aware im dreaming, so frequently im (dreaming) in a situation, and then i remember "im dreaming, its only a dream". So, as i walked to the market i felt the same feeling that i could be dreaming.

It was weird, and yet i was left with the doubt in my mind... what does warrant me im not dreaming? What does assure me that when we're dreaming we're not living other lifes besides this one, or that what we call waking life isnt only a dream dreamed by the "i" im am when sleeping? I always wondered this before, but only at an intellectual level... but that day i felt this doubt more deeply, like ive felt the doubt not only with the reason, but with the heart, the soul, the body or whatever... and i havent any answer to this...

So, all in all, i think this time i was sucessfull. Even if the high was not very intense, its LONG duration made it worth the large amount of hash oil i spent in it.

Well... i use the method ive described in the thread:

The only differences is that i use a glass wine cup with a spherical bottom instead a dish to evaporate the acetone, cause i make only small amounts of it, and its easier to scrape it from a cup with smaller surface. If i evaporate the small amounts of acetone in a dish, the remaining layer of hash oil is too thin, and thus very difficult to scrape.
Also, i dont let the acetone evaporate by itself. I put this wine cup into a pan with water and heat the water with an electric water heater. So the boiling water heats and evaporates the acetone that is into the cup. It makes the process WAY faster, as usually the acetone takes 1-2 days to evaporate fully (depending on the room temperature and the amount of impurities it has). When i heat it, it evaporates in less than 1 hour.
I didnt said it in my thread because heating a flammable liquid as acetone is a very dangerous thing, and it must be done only by those who knows very well what theyre doing.

I think this way is pretty easy, in fact it seems one of the easiest methods to make it. And it lasts very much. Like... the amount of oil i get from 1g of weed lasts about one week of daily/twice-a-day use, or about 10-15 highs. Thats my secret for being high an entire year with only 2oz of weed :rastasmoke:

Well... what happened is the hash oil dissolved very well in pure alcohol. When i added the glicerin, some of hash oil would precipitate, depending on how much glicerin i added. As i wished to make a tincture only with glicerin, i had to heat the mixture, so the alcohol would evaporate. But as the alcohol evaporated the hash oil dissolved in it would precipitate, instead to remain dissolved in the glicerin. So, when all the alcohol had evaporated, i had almost pure glicerin and a lot of hash oil precipitated in the bottom of the test tube.
I didnt test putting olive oil, but maybe it would be worth a try.
And i stopped this experiments cause they were taking too much of my precious hash oil (remember i have only 2oz of weed that must last one entire year). And i figured that even if the tincture were very efficient, it hardly would be more efficient that green dragon. As i already had decided that making g.d. was an waste, i prefered to stop this experiments, and wait for the results of the people with more weed to spare than myself.

Right now i had an idea. You would try to make honey oil with butane, and let the drops of "weeded" butane fall into a cup with glicerin (instead a dish). Hopefully, the THC would dissolve in it as the butane evaporated. If i ever get some butane i will try it.

As an interesting note, the hash oil i used in the green dragon i drank was isomerized, so it cannabinoid content was almost only THC. And yet the effects i felt were most bodily than mental... if i had smoked this hash oil, my mind would have raced like crazy, i would have thought millions of things... but instead, i went peaceful and slow.
It would be a bit confusing, but i did read somewhere at medical mj sub-forums that the THC has an relaxing effect in small doses, and a stimulating effect in high doses. So it explains the effects. As eating makes the releasing of the THC into the blood slower, its levels are lower than when it is smoked and enters at bloodstream all at once.

Hi again Coelho and thanks for posting up details of your 'honey oil' methods and techniques, I really appreciate it.

I've been looking at Butane too, and watched somebody who has a very similar method to the one you describe, only they let the butane and 'honey oil' mix fall into water where it floats (making it easy to scape up) and helps dissolve out any remaining butane (I'm hoping that makes it a 'healthy' option when mixing with food).

Just out of curiosity, have you ever 'boiled' down your Green Dragon to concentrate the THC, or do you generally just convert to oil first and then add it to whatever your making?

It seems a good idea... the butane isnt soluble in water, but it must evaporate anyway, so you may get a very pure final product. Using warm water should make the evaporation be faster and better.

Ive done both... but i prefer to make oil first, because i use the oil far more frequently than anything else. Also, starting from oil makes easier to measure the amount of it i want to ingest.

So today i decided to make some green dragon again. I dissolved a ridiculous amount of isomerized hash oil (enough to some 20-30 usual smoked highs) in grain alcohol, mixed it with some fizzy drink and drank it.
It was 45 minutes ago, and i already started to feel something. The initial steps of the high are slowly creeping upon me... it seems there is something spinning inside my mind... its hard to describe... its different of when smoked... also, my mind is far slower... i have to think a bit hard to write (or, rather, to do) anything... and its increasing steadily... now i already am noticeably higher than when i started this post. With the amount of hash i used, i should get an amazing high... im expecting it... but i dont am too sure it will be so... dont know why... i hope to be wrong, though. Anyway, later ill post the results... cause now i will enjoy the ride... :stoned::jointsmile::rastasmoke::abduct::eat:
