MSNBC Hack Describes Ron Paul As "The Al Qaeda Wing Of The Republican Party"
Shuster snickers and smirks as he labels presidential candidate a terrorist

[align=left] MSNBC correspondent David Shuster today compared Ron Paul to a terrorist on live television commenting that the presidential candidate represents "the Al Qaeda wing of the Republican party".

Shuster, a regular on Hardball with Chris Matthews and other MSNBC programs was responding to comments Matthews himself had made during an appearance on the Jay Leno show.
Matthews stated that the GOP candidates could be compared to tribal factions in Iraq, commenting that that that Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson are like "the fanatics, the Shia wing" while Rudy Giuliani and John McCain are "the more moderate Sunnis", with Romney as "the Kurd".

To describe Rudy Giuliani as "more moderate" is a joke in itself but that is beside the point.

When this exchange was reviewed this morning on MSNBC with Joe Scarborough, Shuster waded in and blurted out "I think it's a great analogy, I mean Ron Paul is the Al Qaeda wing of the Republican party". Shuster then began to smirk and laugh as the two anchors attempted to wriggle their way out of the situation.

So there you have it, the mainstream media, in the form of GE owned MSNBC, literally saying Ron Paul is Al Qaeda.

Shuster goes even further than Glenn Beck did last November when he declared Ron Paul's supporters to be terrorists. Beck and CNN were flooded with complaints, will this happen to MSNBC? (click here to politely complain and demand a retraction)

Despite the fact that Ron Paul is the only GOP candidate who advocates a complete withdrawal from Iraq, despite the fact that Ron Paul is the only candidate advancing a humble foreign policy, despite the fact that Ron Paul is the only candidate to denounce the concept of preemptive war, he is somehow compared to terrorists.

At the core of Ron Paul's message lies the unimpeded freedom of the individual in America, the very aspect of life we are told on a daily basis by the same mainstream media is the reason "Al Qaeda" wants to kill us all.

Never mind, Ron Paul is Al Qaeda, just accept it. The sad thing is many people listening to Shuster's idiocy will. [/align]

But, I'm going to have say that every other politician/legislator, who keeps me balled up in pain by keeping cannabis illegal (or, wanting it illegal), is the Devil of the Universe.

Bare in mind I'm a bit of a Ron Paul supporter and when I saw the heading for this topic I thought, "holy hell, how could they even conceive such a notion." But when I actually saw the video I started laughing because I realized once again people are taking things waaay out of context. You guys seemed to imply that some news dude came on and just flat out said Ron Paul is equivilent to Al Qaeda, which a statement like that is of course absurd but this of course is not what he said. First off they compared ALL of the republicans to terrorists not excluding Ron Paul and second it wasn't like they were saying the republicans are on the same level they were just simply making an interesting analogy of the different groups of terrorists. This was all done with fun in games not "don't vote for Ron Paul because he is EXACTLY like a terrorist." And on another note if you people really do support Ron Paul then surely you should support the idea of freedom of speech. He has every right to base his opinion on Ron Paul just as much as I have a right to base my opinion on Rudy and therefore should not have to appolagize for anything. This is why America is so great....don't ruin it people.

No, David Shuster himself knows that was a despicable comparison and he proved once again that he is not a real journalist. Chris Matthews as well is just losing his mind; He doesn't seem much like a "tell it like it is" guy anymore, does he? I wonder, why?

You have a correct idea of Freedom, but do you believe you have freedom of Idea? The corporate media suppresses significant information about presidential candidates, not only about Ron Paul, but the negative facts about the Clintons or Bloomberg himself. We need to be very careful about what everyone views on television, because honesty is losing its factor in the ways of the media.

your right the news media skews everything in favor of them. Thats why I get my news from elsewhere, however, I'm not arguing about that and furthermore I am not arguing necessarily in favor of those news reporters I'm just arguing the fact that people are taking what he is saying a bit too out of context. You people think he said Ron Paul is on the same level as Al Qaeda and I think he simply made a harmless analogy. Of course Ron Paul is not on the same level as those terrorist bastards and even those news reporters know this.

No. Chris Matthews compared the Republican presidential candidates to the Iraqis, Sunnis, Shia, and Kurds, which are not "different groups of terrorists." Unless, of course, you think all Iraqis are terrorists, which some Americans do.

Shuster said Ron Paul was the Al-Queda branch of the Iraqis, which is not a political branch or ethnic group, but only an international group of terrorists. I think he should apologize, as a matter of honor for saying that any presidential candidate was like Al-Queda. But, yes, he does have a right to say whatever the fuck he wants to about anyone, because it's a god-given right protected by the Constitution. It's a lot worse than, "nappy-headed hoes."

You've got to laugh at this sort of thing. The fact is, Any thing they say about ron paul only helps him. Call him some terrorist, People google ron paul.
I'll encourage the press to keep it up and thank them thus far.
The press that pisses me off is the press that refuse to even mention. Like the 2nd place in nevada.
