Revitalize Saggin New Clones
I just got 6 clones. Using a normal 65watt flood light. I kept them in their original cloning bulbs. When I added a fan to the mix three of the plants had bad reactions to it. So I just put them in soil to try and give them some food but...One died, One is almost gone but just sprouted a new leaf :hippy:, and one has some saggin stems holding the leafs.:(
What steps should I take to get them better?
What kind of nutes should I buy I have no idea where to start on what i need.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP:thumbsup:
this is my first time.:rasta::rastasmoke:

What is a "normal 65 watt floodlight"? What is a cloning bulb? Why are your plants so deep in the pots?
Dude, do a lot of reading and studying and learn how to grow before you actually try growing. Those clones could be saved, but what's the point? You haven't got a clue what you are doing and, if you aren't willing to put the effort into studying and learning how to grow, you shouldn't be growing.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but you are about the fifth person just this week that has come on here and asked for their own personal grow manual to be written. All the information you need is here on CanCom. So, please, do some research and don't expect experienced members to spend a lot of time typing just because you are too lazy to read.

So, if the info you want is delivered to your thread, that's all good. But, if you have to search for it, you have trouble understanding it????? Quit being lazy and do some damn research if you want those plants to grow and produce buds.
You have decisions to make right now and chances are that you are not making the correct decisions. What kind of soil are you using? What are you putting in the soil to "lighten" it - to promote good drainage? Is the soil you chose good for mmj? There are stickies at the top of each grow section, read the ones that apply to soil growing. Jeez - it ain't that friggin hard to do!
I asked about your light and you chose not to answer. Do you think that perhaps lighting is not important? On this forum, the experienced growers ask questions that they expect to be answered so that they can help YOU with your problems. ...and it's really kind of a drag to have to ask the same question more than once.
If you haven't done so already, ditch the fan for at least a few days.

I know lighting is super important but I am only using the flood light as a substitute untill i can get some warm and cool florescents. how many watts do they need to be?
I have been browsing through the FAQs and learning more everytime, the forums help a lot too.
I am using an organic all purpose potting soil from walmart( so it is not the most ideal for MJ). But it did have the highest amount of nitrogen which I knew they needed immediately.
I have been loosening by poking holes with a pen to the surrounding dirt to get oxygen to the roots, and watering with a sparkling water(co2)/ plant food mix (called miracles best) for the N, potassium, and potash. Ever since I have been doing that they have been doin great. I still need to invest in a Ph reader to make sure my Ph is right.
PS- i ruined the plants by over watering, adding a fan, then leaving it on for too long way too early.
BTW thanks for the help

Well, your first big mistake was to not pot the plant - or would that plant the pot? :stoned: - a soon as you got the clones home.
You need to lighten your soil for good drainage. Before you raise the plants in their pots, get some perlite and mix it with the new soil. After raising, water with B1 solution mixed per label directions. Next time you water after the B1, you may or may not want to add nutes - I don't know, I don't grow in soil. But nutes can be expensive so do your research before you go out and buy a bunch of stuff. After you decide on what you think are good nutes, post them here and some dirt farmer will make sure you are headed in the right direction.
Cut the really dead leaves off the plants, they look ugly and cause distress to the grower.
Lighting is a whole other issue. You kinda need to decide where you want to go in order to decide the direction of your first step. For right now, get four 26watt "cool white" or "daylight" cfl's and put them about 6" - 8" above the plants until you start seeing healthy growth.

Those clones are salvageable but the flood light was a BAD idea.
They are also too low in the pots and not getting enough air flow as evidenced by the dark green shrivelly leaves.
PC is giving you good guidance here... Lighten soil. Better quality light. Raise in pots.

pharmas right. incandescent/floodlight bulbs are about as close to useless as you can get while still blowing energy on lighting electicity. get a few cool/daylight cfls in there.

I just bought two 24 inch 20watts natural sun/white florescent lights.
I also been trying to lighten the soil by airating the best i can by putting deep holes and spraying my sparkling water/ nute mix directly into the holes in the morning and afternoon. I have raised the plants in their pots and trimmed off all the dead leaves.
How often should I be watering for the next few days since I just changed lighting?

Sparkling water? As in carbonated water? Are you using that to water your plants?

yes its actually more of a carbonated water solution with some plant food mixture that i found. I am spraying it into the holes i have poked into the soil. should i be strictly watering at the stem or all around in the pot.

I just bought 4 60 watt CFLs and i added some perlite to my soil to loosen the soil and aerate the roots.
Why is this leaf turning yellow?
I have made a lot of mistakes so far but all and any kind of suggestion or advice helps me. My next purchase will finally be some mylar cause obviously the tin foil sucks.
First Pic: droopy, with one leaf losing pigment and turning yellow
Second Pic: Droopy, stems holding leafs have no strength.
Third Pic: 4 x 60 Watt CFLs placed accordingly around box, and 2 two feet outdoor fluorescents that are 20 watts each.

Why the hell are you using carbonated water? Seriously... you mean fizzy water that contains CO2. Roots need Oxygen, not CO2. Leaves use CO2.

I just switched my water from that carbonated/blue nute mix to some mountain spring water. I also raised them a lot closer to the over head Floro and the surrounding CFLS.

Don't get your lights too close right away. Keep them 6" - 8" above the plants until you start to see some growth. Do you have any fans/ventilation in your grow box?

Use tap water. Spring water often has way too high mineral content in it for plants. At least the minerals in tap water (Ca, Mg) are good for them.

ok...the reason your clones are suffering is that there appears to be no dome over them. get a clear plasctic or glass cup, spray the inside with water, and place overtop of a clone.
t should help revitalize it by keeping humidity. if it works, mimic with the others. if not, it was gonna die at this rate anyways
the dome is what helped me finally get a successdful clone, and now im ashamed i didnt use one earlier. it makes cloning much easier on the plant

I have a setup with 4 23 watt CFLs. Plus 2 overhead 2 foot floros.
Soil. Normal Ventaliation. Soil PH is unknown.
What is causing the leaves to yellow? possibly overwatering?
-
Revitalize Saggin New Clones
Yeah, combined with insufficient light. But you also want to check your soil pH. That looks like a commercial (read: peat based) soil and pH problems are common after about 6-8 weeks after first wetting.

heres a masters view of my lighting. At first i had these lights way too close to the plants and had them on for long hours with poor ventilation. what are my options for making an outflow in my rented apt without cutting a hole in my closet door.
-
Revitalize Saggin New Clones
That's not too much light.
The yellowing plant looks deficient- hungry! There may be a problem with the soil pH, and you should check that. Meanwhile, foliar feed with a weak solution of a COMPLETE grow fertilizer mixed at 1/4- 1/2 what the bottle recommends.
