Hello,
I am going to start growing in the summer when I move into my new apartment. I live in Ohio, so if I have less than 100g it is only a $100 fine and no criminal record. I'm going to be a teacher so that is important. How many plants do you think I can grow and have it still be under 100 grams? You know... just in case. Thanks.
well if your just growing for personal use 2-3 plants would be fine.
when you say its a $100 dollar fine is that for possessing-100gs. or cultivation of less that 100gs., because if its for cultivation thats not bad all
right, possesion is different and usually less than manufacturing. just something to think about. look at NORML's site for state laws.
in terms of growing levels, regardless of laws:
a successful plant should yield an oz or more with little problem (28g) and can give 2oz without much trouble at all.
100g=3.3oz (approx). id suggest you plant 3-4 female seeds (6 if mixed) and you should be able to carry 2-3 through the process.
but i suspect theres a dif. charge on growing.
actually the penalties for cultivation and possession are the same in ohio. but the plant itself will add to the weight. They don't just count the buds for the weight, the stalk and all that counts too. do you think I would be safe with 2 plants?
1 plant would go over 100g alone for total weight, expecially since theyll probably measure it wet.
i say grow 2-3 females anyways. dont halfass it unless theres a high risk of being busted

EDIT: What are the odds, do you think, of being caught? They seem slim because this is a college town and there is weed EVERYWHERE. I actually see people smoking it everyday. And I know there are some professional growers here. I never here of arrests.
hey i have friend's that go to school in ohio! wonder if your one of them? highly doubt it, but wouldn't that be wierd as hell. anyways, wouldn't grow in the dorm's if i were you. you're probably smarter than that though right? ohio is kind of a sketchy state. i have driven through there a few times, and it seems there is a state patrolman at every mile marker. just my 2cents, so be careful, be quiet, and be smart, and you could probably get away with more than 1 or 2 plants.
you can grow one plant and it can yield more then say three plants (that are smaller) it all depends on that strain and how it's grown. There is no one that can give you a clear dead on answer. If you want to def be sure, just go by looks and take what you get
the odds are very good at not being caught, as long as you are quiet about it. every person that knows introduces variables that are out of your controll. yeah, and depending on where you are at, they may weight roots and everything that goes along with it.
look into lowryder 1 or 2 it's short and small and it's autoflowering, and it's mostly bud don't know everything about it but it just might work for u. u could do maybe 3 or 4 and first rule about bud club is don't talk about bud club.2nd u should be fine as long as u follow rule # 1 and u keep the smell of ur grow down
Just don't sell it and don't tell a bunch of people about it and you won't get caught. Its when you start trying to sell it to make money is when you get caught. The cops aren't actively looking for someone growing a few plants to smoke for themselves, they are looking for commercial ops. That's not saying that if you get busted it will be any easier on you, but really, the only way you're getting busted if you're not selling it is if you tell the wrong person and they rat you out. If your laws are that lax to where GROWING 100g is just a $100 fine, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
id say only 1 plant if theyre counting total plant weight. i mean 4 0s is relavtively easy with decent lights for a single plant .
also, if it would matter, if you were busted it would be a 'plant' instead of 'plants'
